Ristorante Bar Piccolo

I have to say this was the cherry on the top of our trip as we visited this restaurant last day before leaving.

After being disappointed several times from the "commercial" restaurants inside Venice centre, that all of them brag about being the best, this place was the best we ever had.

The place feels authentic and has homemade food vibes to it. No shiny lights, fancy tables kr anything, just simply authentic good food.

Portions are good and choices are numerous. Highly recommended.

NB: Do not leave without having the homemade tiramisu after your meal.

Service, atmosphere, food - everything on the spot.
Prices did not bite, the food was really something special, don't remember when I eat such a good, mouth melting lasagne 🤔😊😊😊 the place high recommended !!

The food was great and service was one of the best I had in Venice. Truly recommend. Highlight for the tiramisu, they really know what they are doing there.

service and atmosphere was alright. owner asked if we were chinese and spoke to us in mandarin so thats +1

the food however, not sure if it was just too early but it looked severely different from photos.

lasagna had very little filling compared to older photos (see picture) and the tortelini tasted like.. plain and not good
extra bonus -1 point was when owner asked if we wanted bread midway our meal (cost extra, €1,2) along with tortelini.

final verdict: food not worth the price. hospitality/service ok

Nice small neighborhood restaurant - food is tasty and service is fast. Owner very nice and helpful. The grilled pork and the tiramisu were very good.

Me and my friends have been here for dinner three days in a row and the food is really amazing. We have eaten pasta, lasagna, pizza, soup and tiramisu. Everything has been so delicious and authentic. Can especially recommend the lasagna and tiramisu. Staff is super friendly and the prices are great.

3rd day in Italy, had great pizza at this restaurant! The prices are above the minimum we've seen. There is also a service charge 4 euros, which I don't really understand what was it for.. But the pizza and spaghetti were great! We will go for breakfast tomorrow again

The risotto and gnocchi we ordered were simply delicious! Probably the best food we've had in Italy!
As many others have pointed out, although the restaurant may not look it from the outside, the inside is cozy and pleasant. The prices are fair, too.

Would 100% recommend!

The owners were very kind and happy! The service was great and the food was incredible and made fresh for us. The tiramisu was so good we had to take some home!

Really enjoyed this local Restaurant near Venice. The four cheese gnocchi was very tasty, the caprese and the lemon pasta. Very well priced. Would come back here again.

This family owned restaurant is operated by the husband and wife. And boy, can they cook!

Very friendly service in german, Italian and SOME English. Pictures on the menu make it easy to determine what you want and what you’re asking for. Bare with them though. I can see this getting high-pressured when it gets busy and it’s just the two of them.

Delicious red wine. Half a liter was plenty to enjoy with the meal!

Free limoncello with dinner along with some breadsticks.

Parking is free for the first hour or after 8pm nearby but limited, unless you don’t mind walking a bit from one of the neighborhoods nearby.

YOU HAVE TO GO HERE! we stopped here on a whim and we were pleasantly surprised! amazing food — we got the bruschetta margherita, ham and melon, lasagna, and petto di pollo. we especially recommend the lasagna it was so good!! the service was also excellent, the servers were very attentive and personable. and on top of that it was all for a great price!!! much more reasonable than other restaurants nearby, especially for the high quality of the food. we plan to come back in the future. :)

We had several different dishes and everything tasted amazing. The food was much better than that in the tourist areas and the staff was very pleasant and helpful, and the atmosphere was friendly and inviting. Prices were very fair and it's definitely worth checking out if you get the chance.

What a gem. We just walked around and ended up in this place. Tbh might be the best pizza i had in italy.

A hided gem in Mestre! The hotel reception recommended this restaurant to my boyfriend and I, and we are so happy that we give it a chance. The food and drinks there tastes great!We have been there two times, and have tried out aperol spritz, spaghetti, risotto, etc. The service is friendly and welcoming as well.

First restaurant we came to when travelling to Venice. Went early in the afternoon, so there weren't any other people dining. Our server (I think the owner) was a very sweet lady! She served us and prepared all the food. We got the tortellini and the house special lasagne, which were both great. Even with the language barrier (which some people seemed to have had an issue with) we communicated perfectly well with a mix of Italian and english. I would 100% recommend coming here when visiting Venice!

Found this place yesterday and we ordered bruschetta, lagaña, the tortellini, and tiramisu. It was all fabulous and the sweet lady that works there was extremely nice and helpful. I’m pretty sure she was the only one working as we had gotten there early in the day and she got our food out fast! She also only speaks Italian and not English, so please disregard all reviews that say anything about “she doesn’t speak English” it’s disrespectful to come to another country and expect them to speak your language. It was a very nice authentic Italian experience!

The owner didn't speak much English but is very helpful and friendly. Visited twice for their cappuccino. Their home made tiramisu was delicious.

Very delicious Pizza and tiramisu. Friendly owner and owned by Italians. From outside it looks a bit old but the food is very good 👍🏼
