Gorgeous! Grounds, food, wine, service - all exceptional.
Booked on a whim for husband’s birthday and everything exceeded our expectations. The staff were amazing - friendly, helpful and always going above and beyond. Thank you Fabio, Daniella, Marco and Matilde for making the visit wonderful.

Exceptional!
Experience starts as you drive through the breathtaking Tuscan countryside lined with canopy covered roads, olive groves, and vineyards. Your entrance to your Discovered Village is lined with cypress tress and anticipation.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by valet and reception staff. Our bags were taken to the room while we completed the friendly and fast check in process. After we were given keys, we were given a private tour of the facilities. Matilde walked us around the grounds and showed us the amazing offerings of our home for the next 5 days. She is fantastic!!

Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Stayed in 109- executive suite. Room was well appointed with 2 bathrooms, a sitting room, plenty of closet space and storage, snacks, wine, waters, and freshly baked homemade focaccia.

Breakfast is served daily in the restaurant. Fresh fruit, meats, cheeses, pastries, yogurt, cereals, coffees, juice, Prosecco, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, hashed browns, etc. Plus, they offer made to order items like eggs Benedict at reasonable prices. Restaurant staff understands quality service. Thank you Enzo, Christian, Maria, and Samir for elevating our experience. Dinner is a great experience as well!

Property is a quick 15 minute drive to Sienna. The Cathedral is a must. Not as big as the Duomo in Florence, but much more beautiful .

Florence is an easy drive however, find parking outside the town center and taxi or walk in. Make a plan. Once you’re too far in, it’s a pain to drive through this city. Arrive early as parking is scarce.

From Borgo Scopeto, there are dozens of amazing places to explore. It’s the heart of Chianti, so drink wine!

Maria was amazing with her wine knowledge at dinner, and Daniel and Fabio provided amazing service at the bar. The grounds are breathtaking, and the entire experience was amazing.

They helped organize some fantastic excursions for my wife and I, from truffle hunting to the wine tasting to horseback riding in the hills overlooking Chianti. The four nights we spent here were truly memorable.

Even the day to day lounging around the hotel (I highly recommend taking a few hours to drink wine in the sofa area, the cute space just before entering the restaurant) was enhanced by their hospitality and the rustic charm of the hotel grounds.

We stayed in one of the smaller suites, and the space was surprisingly big! Modern furnishings, well decorated and cozy, with very nice bathrooms I might add.

Furthermore, the restaurant food (La Tinaia) was also amazing, and the various wines on offer from their vineyards are also very very good.

Siena is also quite close by for day/evening excursions (provided you have a car ofc). For the price, this hotel is premium value. If you're on the fence and still reading this, ignore the "bad" reviews, just book in! Borgo Scopeto has been fabulous.

This hotel was great. Conveniently located - 15 minutes from Siena and close enough to other towns within Tuscany that day trips are possible. The staff was polite and helpful and Metilde, one of the concierges, was a delight!

Amazing weekend getaway to Borgo Scopeto. The staff are extremely accommodating and so kind. The guest relations team takes such pride in their work, and it is shown in the service that they provide to the guests. Malvina, in particular is incredibly kind and caring and you can tell she truly loves her job. One particular moment that stands out is that some friends that we had with us had to leave to Borgo Scopeto at 5:30 in the morning and because it was so early in the morning the breakfast had not opened so the staff the night before had prepared lovely breakfast boxes for our friends before they took a cab to Siena. Such thoughtful service. The only complaint is to please stop making your outdoor staff wear ties during the summer heat. It is incredibly uncomfortable for them and I feel that the staff would do an even more amazing job if they were slightly more comfortable in such hot weather.

My family and I just got back from Italy and we spent 4 days in this paradise. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel/spa. From the second we arrived we were treated like family. They have the customer first mentality that other places seem to lack these days. They made recommendations for restaurants that were spot on and set up cab rides for the trip to the local town of Siena. The morning breakfast is terrific and the choice of inside or outside seating is always available. The Managers Malvina and Matilde especially went above and beyond for us every day. Even the other staff members from the front desk to the bell hops were amazing and extremely friendly. The outdoor pool is heated and surrounded by nature. The spa was amazing also but the grounds are truly paradise. I loved just strolling around taking in the views. I miss this place and we are already talking about going back in the future, I highly recommend this place. One note is the cab fare is 33 euros one way to Siena which is the main town so be prepared for that also the air conditioning was not turned on in April but it does get cool in the mountains and they did sully us a fan which made it all good. Overall a minor detail.

We can for our 20th anniversary after visiting Florence for several days. Our stay was excellent. The location is perfect for day trips and the food was amazing. Highly recommend

A beautiful hotel in the heart of Tuscany region. Spent 2 nights with 2 kids.
Location, hotel and hospitality were great.
Only downside was when we arrived we couldn’t get the room we booked (Maintanence issue) so we had to move in the 2nd night.
But overall a great experience.

Our family stayed at Borgo Scopeto for 3 amazing nights! Matilde Cantara made our experience at the resort extra special! She was extremely helpful with restaurant recommendations and answering all our questions. She made us feel so welcomed and is a wonderful bright light at the resort! We have traveled all over Italy and her guest service is unmatched!

My wife and I just finished a two night stay at Borgo Scopeto. What a wonderful place. Even with overcast skies and off and on rain we had a great stay. We walked through their vineyards and olive tree groves and vegetable gardens ( a great 5km loop). Their own wines are outstanding and their olive oil is beyond fabulous. Food is also outstanding. There is something on their menu for everyone. Special thanks to Daniela, Samuele and Malvina who took amazing care of us during our stay in this wonderful resort. Borgo Scopeto is a stunning property but the people are what make this relais truly special! Starting with the guest relations team up front (Matilde + Malvina!!) who helped us orchestrate a wedding proposal without ever seeing the property before we arrived. They got everything set up for us with flowers and drinks, etc.

The food on property is delicious -- fine dining restaurant but they have a Bistro menu and lounge area for a more relaxed vibe.

Beds and rooms were so clean, well decorated and peaceful as well.

Our stay at Borgo Scopeto Relais was wonderful. Right from the arrival, the staff was very accommodating, helpful and welcoming. The grounds are extremely well kept and the pool area is amazing. They also have a great fitness room. The menu and wine list is very good and the breakfast buffet is outstanding. We enjoyed tennis, walks and jogs around the grounds and vineyard. There are many exceptional wineries nearby to visit. Bravo to the staff, management and ownership.

10/10 highly recommend on all levels. A 5-star hotel with 5-star amenities. The room we stayed in was absolutely impeccable. Very clean, very spacious, beautifully constructed. We were on our honeymoon and were welcomed with a small bottle of wine and a hand written note congratulating us. The service was immaculate as well. Everyone that worked there was extremely nice and very accommodating. The front desk workers always greeted us with a smile and were happy to call all of our transfers to confirm pick-up times. There’s a wonderful gal that takes care of all of the excursions and she goes above and beyond to make sure your adventures are perfect and taken care of. She scheduled a spa day for us and made sure that our hot air ballon ride and tour of a medieval city was top-notch. The food at their restaurant is some of the best cuisine i’ve ever had. Lastly, the property has everything that you ever need. A fabulous spa, beautiful lavender fields, two pools (one for families and children and a separate one just for adults that has a bar close by), a top-notch restaurant, and views of Sienna that will make you stare in awe. Look no further, this is your place to stay to visit Chianti.

Spent a few days at the Relais… it was all fantastic! The place is beautiful and the people working there are really friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Thanks Matilde for the spot-on recommendations on restaurants around the area!! I was delightfully surprised! :)

We had a wonderful stay at the Borgo. The facilities are impeccable, the staff was courteous and the food was amazing. We went on vacation here with my 4 and 6 yo. I will say, if you plan to leave the Borgo, it’s a good idea to rent a car. There is a fixed rate for a taxi to and from the train station or Siena for 32 euro each way (25min). The Borgo also has a scheduled shuttle to Siena you have to pre-book (15 euro/person/each way). But if you are just looking for rest and relaxation, this place is perfect and you honestly don’t need to leave. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are amazing at the restaurant and there is also a spa. The compound however doesn’t have a sundry shop or anything, so be sure to bring what you need or be ready to rent one of the vespas on site or take a cab down to a store if you didn’t rent a car. There are two beautiful pools. One for families and one for adults. We stayed here twice during our Italian Holiday and both villas were spacious, tastefully furnished and had everything you need in the mini bars or a phone call away. The front desk staff does whatever they can to accommodate your needs. Overall this was a fantastic stay. I’ve never seen anything more beautiful than this phenomenally renovated Italian compound that stays true to its roots and all the splendor that once was. Highly, highly recommended for a family vacation destination or a romantic get away. Thank you Borgo Scopeto Relais for a wonderful vacation with my family. We will be back.

just got back from Borgo Scopeto and it was above all, it was super relaxing. it is located in the heart of Tuscany and all of the vineyards and Siena and Florence. Service, Rosario the Concierge, Francesco the GM, the breakfast and dinners/chef were all 10 stars. i highly recommend staying at this hotel. it is magnificent and memorable. my wife also enjoyed the spa/massage-and she is tough to please. i forgot to mention the phenomenal wine-i will never drink California wines again!

La Tinaia is the resort’s feature restaurant and seats guests both inside the villa’s historic wine cellar and outside under the villa’s largest tower. Breakfast is included and provides a delicious assortment of cold pastries and warm dishes. As delicious as breakfast is, dinner is where La Tinaia shines. The restaurant’s finest dish is the Cinta Senese, a classic pork dish borrowed from neighboring Siena and dating back hundreds of years.

Finally, don’t miss the regular evening wine tastings in the villa’s cellar. The curated tasting of local wines was a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
