Ristoro dell'Amandolo

I have a great story about this establishment. It was September 2012 and my wife and I were out for a hike in the countryside. We came across this place and we walked up to the patio and saw they were closed. One of the chefs comes out and welcomes us, tells us to please sit down. He then brings us fresh biscotti and a bottle of wine. We had the most enjoyable afternoon talking to him and enjoying the view. We eventually thanked him and asked for the bill and he absolutely refused to charge us and said it was a gift to us. We will never forget our trip to Elba Isle because of him.

Fish menu with a starter and a first course!
They give you the chance to choose a meat menu if you like and I had that one, also with a starter and a first course. The food was truly amazing!
Stunning view and location and kind people.

This location in Cavo is a little bit of an adventure to get to, but the views and atmosphere were spectacular. Waitstaff were nice, and the food was abundant in wonderful seafood varieties and flavors I have never thought would go together. Very cozy and creative!

I can't remember another place beautiful and with Good food for a fair price as this! Definitly worth it!

I saw the reviews first before we booked the place, and some of the reviews are negative, but don't listen to them, it's not true! We ate a lot, or even too mutch. The food was original with good combinations. When we arrived they gave us right away a drink with a snack. The waiters were SSSuper nice. And ofcourse, the place is enchated with a beautiful sunset and view from the mountains till the sea.

We paid 93 euro for the welcome drink with snack, bottle of wine, 3 antipasta bolls, primo piatto off fish and pasta, secondo of fish, bottle of water, desert with two times a liquer to drink. So not at all expensive! GO GO GO :)

Beautiful place where you can enjoy first class food while watching the sun sink into the sea. Very professional staff and friendly owners. Everytime we are in Elba, we go there. Super romantic. Bring a jacket for later hours 😉

In over 13 different countries around the world, this was by far the best experience we have had. The view was amazing, the food melted in our mouths, and the service, even through broken English, was second to none. Alessandro is a gem among men. We would recommend this place to anyone traveling on the island of Elba. It's not the typical restaurant of our age where you have an extensive menu to chose from. You sit down, enjoy some of his homemade (best we've ever had, and I am a Sommelier, and my wife is a red seal chef) wine, while he brings you 4 predetermined courses over the hours spent enjoying the magnificent sunset. It is relaxed, beautiful, and beyond delicious. 100% classical culture. Thank you Alessandro.

What an amazing restaurant in the middle of nature! Top quality of homemade food, lovely decorated by the friendly owner and his family members. Very friendly and fair price agroturismo performance.

L'agriturismo si trova in una zona sperduta e per questo tranquilla. Sembra di essere in un paradiso, soprattutto per il panorama serale, con vista del tramonto sul mare.
La scelta dei piatti è limitata ma di ottima qualità e in quantità abbondante. In due adulti e tre bambini abbiamo mangiato 4 antipasti ed eravamo pieni. Mio figlio ha voluto un assaggio di un primo e sono stati così gentili da non fargli pagare il piatto. Personale gentilissimo e molto cortese. Special guest Gianni, il cinghiale!!!

Bellissima terrazza tra le montagne ed il mare. L’offerta del menù fisso é molto valida. L’antipasto di mare è vario e ben preparato, il prezzo è onesto. Ci tornerò sicuramente per degustare i vini naturali della cantina

Agriturismo nascosto nel verde con una distesa vista tramonto sul mare.
Abbiamo preso due menù fissi a 25€ l’uno che comprendevano: aperitivo,tagliere di pesce e amari.
Il tagliere era molto buono, il pesce fresco che abbiamo accompagnato con il loro vermentino consigliatoci dal cameriere.
Personale gentile, disponibile e preparato.
Il prezzo è sicuramente basso per quello che abbiamo mangiato e bevuto.
Consigliassimo se vi trovate all’Isola d’Elba.

Serata speciale al Ristoro dell’Amandolo, un posto unico immerso nella natura, dove gustare cibo e vino locali e buonissimi mentre si ammira il sole che tramonta sul mare. Nel nostro caso,ci è piaciuto molto il menù di pesce, il vino, la gentilezza di Alessandro e del personale che ci ha accolto, la simpatica visita di Gianni 🐗.

In vacanza all’Elba…amando i posti incontaminati e lontano dal caos turistico, ho trovato per caso questo agriturismo in mezzo alla zona più “montana” dell’isola.
30 minuti e oltre di strada per arrivare al ristorante ma ne è valsa veramente la pena, in primis per la location fantastica ma poi anche per la qualità dei piatti (antipasti con salumi e formaggi di produzione loro che si scioglievano in bocca).
Servizio efficiente e molto cordiale.

Non un ristorante ma un'esperienza. Posto meraviglioso, agli antipodi della ressa e del turismo d'assalto, coccolati fin dall'inizio in un'atmosfera fantastica, il titolare ha un'enorme passione in quello che fa e la trasmette benissimo con grande gentilezza. Non è il classico ristorante col menù ma vi dovete lasciare trasportare attraverso prodotti eccellenti accompagnati da un vino naturale che solo la fine della bottiglia impedirà di prenderci la residenza.
Aperto anche a pranzo in bella stagione ma è un posto molto intimo quindi chiamate prima per non sbagliare, hanno anche delle camere in agriturismo, consigliatissimo.

Wir waren an einem Abend mit Livemusik hier und haben es sehr genossen (Jazz mit Saxophon). Das Ambiente, das Essen, der Wein und der Ausblick.
Also ob das Konzept mit dem Überraschungsmenü gut oder nicht gut ist, sollte nicht mit in die Rezension einfließen. Darüber kann man sich vorher informieren und dann einfach nicht hingehen. 40€ empfanden auch einige zuviel. Also wir haben dafür sehr leckeren Fisch, Pasta mit Schwertfisch (ich habe da in einer Rezension was mit Nudeln aus dem Supermarkt mit Fisch gelesen - sorry Banause) und eine hausgemachte Tiramisu bekommen. Meine Freundin hat spontan alles vegetarisch bekommen, was ich auch nicht für ganz selbstverständlich halte. Ich kann in Cavo auch 3 Gänge bestellen und bezahle das Gleiche oder mehr. Also einfach mal realistisch sein. Dort werde ich fast persönlich direkt bedient und kann Musik und Ausblick geniesen. (wenn man Glück hat auch ein Wildschwein)
Man sollte auf jeden Fall eine Jacke mitbringen, weil es schnell kühl werden kann.
Alessandro und sein Team kümmern sich sehr gut und freundlich um die Gäste. Bei uns hat alles gepasst. Die Nudeln waren so heiß das man sie nicht sofort essen konnte. Der Vorspeisenteller war lauwarm, aber das soll ja auch so sein. Bei der Location ist es auch nicht einfach im Freien mal geschwind 50 Gäste entsprechend zu bedienen. Wir hatten das Gefühl das man sich sehr bemüht.
Wer offen für gutes Essen ist, den leckeren Wein trinken möchte, einen wunderschönen Sonnenuntergang sehen möchte, der ist hier richtig.
Alles andere kann ich in Cavo, Porto Azzuro, Capoliverie etc. in den üblichen Lokalitäten essen. Das hier gibt es NUR hier.

Il posto è meraviglioso: in mezzo al verde, ventilato, paesaggio al tramonto super romantico.
L’accoglienza è gentile e attenta. La proposta dei vini ottima: loro stessi producono due vini, di cui uno, il Barbatus bianco, è probabilmente al momento l’unico vino naturale elbano. Abbiamo optato per una degustazione con 3 calici di vini bianchi elbani e la consiglio! La cena è a menù fisso: antipasti di pesce misti e un primo abbondante, nel nostro caso una pasta al polipo. Tra gli antipasti un ottimo tonno affumicato che, accompagnato al barbatus (macerato di ansonica passato in anfora e affinato in damigiana) era davvero super.
La sera un cinghiale passa da 9 anni a fare uno spuntino: anche lui fa parte dell’esperienza di questo posto 🙂.
Il prezzo pagato è corretto tenendo conto di tutto l’insieme che va oltre la semplice cena: servizi, paesaggio, cura del cliente.
NB: le 5 stelle sono state raggiunte anche per l’attenzione avuta nel preparare anche cose gluten free.

Lontano da tutto, un rustico vista mare, anzi vista tramonto, dove il cibo è di ottima qualità. Poca scelta di piatti, anzi ci viene solo chiesto se vogliamo pesce o carne, e siamo più che soddisfatti della nostra scelta del pesce, davvero eccellente!
