Posto molto nuovo, pulito, funziona tutto anche il wifi. Appartamento molto grande! Proprietaria molto accogliente e disponibile.

I recently had a week at Soldanella with a group of friends and must say how disappointed we were with the facilities and the food.
Once out of the chalet of course we are the same as everybody else enjoying the Dolomites, and Selva is very well located for some superb skiing and scenery - but this is nothing to do with Ski Total, they just provide the flights and transfers and the accommodation.
The return flight times to UK are inhuman with 3am collection from the chalet but this is not too unusual with chalet holidays.
It is not of course a chalet but a tidy little apartment block with dining room and kitchen and unfortunately the output from the kitchen was woefully inadequate - all meals were tasteless and bland and even the breakfast porridge was dreadful.This is not so much a failing of the kitchen and chalet staff but of the management who have clearly done little to ensure that the cooking is up to a reasonable standard. The Thursday evening fish dish made a stink throughout the building and was clearly off. The so called carefully selected wines were of very poor quality and presumably the cheapest that could be sourced in bulk - very poor. The rooms are clean and warm (or hot) but are very basic with not a trace of decoration or extra soft furnishing - the usual crisp new pine and white painted rendered walls - serviceable but very bland.
Conversation in the dining room with 26 people shouting to be heard in the hard echo chamber was virtually impossible - not a comfortable chalet. The chalet host tried hard and was bright and friendly, his young lady assistant would clearly have rather been doing something else and was not the most enthusiastic "waitress".
We will not be doing that again !
Next time it will be independent hotel booking and Ryanair to Treviso at sensible times and all for less cost.
