One of the most beautiful mountains and parks we have visited. To stand directly on the result of Mother Nature's fury really outs a lot in perspective. We went with a guide which is recommended due to the sheer size. A car would be ideal for sightseeing as the scenic routes by motor vehicle are beautiful. It is recommended to dress appropriately depending on the height and range you will visit

A very, very interesting experience! Impressive! Here you can see how small we are compared to nature! I read a lot of reviews before this, but none gave the right advice! So - tip No. 1: Be sure to dress warmly, or rent a warm jacket (5 eur) at the bottom of Etna, because it is cold and very windy at the top (it's good if you have a hat to protect your ears). We were at the beginning of June, when it was +28 at the bottom of Etna, up by the frost of the crater. No. 2: It is better not to spare money (156.00 for two) and choose to drive both parts of the road (funicular + 4x4 bus), unless your physical fitness is very good! Because you will have to climb very high; buses will pass by, which will create a lot of dust; it will be several hours spent, but the view will start to feel monotonous after a while. Guide services are included in the transport price, the guide talks very interestingly. No. 3.: Downstairs, souvenir shops all have almost the same thing, only in the further ones you can get something cheaper than in the first ones! ;)

Impressive! We had the opportunity to see it from airplane and from ground and looks really spectacular. The terrain around the volcano shows the repeated activity of it with many waves of lava. The path to reach the volcano by car is difficult and sometimes you can get directions to nowhere since the roads are ending in a bunch of lava rocks.

Unforgettable experience. Make sure you go to the top and don’t hesitate to get boots and coats for rent there otherwise it’s too windy.

One of the most epic places I've visited in my life.
Highly suggest to try the tour guide and see the most active volcano in Europe.
The views are out of this world

Absolutely stunning, must-see place when visiting Sicily.

Paid parking (half day or full day), but entrance to the mountain itself and its craters are free if you don’t mind the hike, otherwise be ready to pay up 50€ per person to take the cable car up and down the mountain. Payments accepted with cash or card.

There is a shop near the summit with tons of food and drinks, including alcoholic beverages and tasty arancini. Restrooms available there as well, climate controlled and seating places.

Souvenir shops everywhere, so don’t worry if you miss one at the bottom, there will be more at the station where the cable card takes you up to.

Bring the right shoes for this, and cover up properly during the colder months. Be prepared for powerful winds!

Please be sure to take your trash with you 🙏🏼

Snow covered mount Etna is a great place to go for a budget holiday. Definitely worth it. Ideal for trekking or just to enjoy the fresh air and fantastic views.

Unexpectedly it was one of the best places that we visited on Eastern part of the island. Lots of lava ashes, beautiful views interesting history. My kids were excited about too.
We went to 2500m on a cable car, hiked a bit over there and went down

Our adventure to the UNESCO marvel and Europe's most active volcano started at Rifugio Sapienza, where we easily found parking and rode the cable car, also known as the "Funivia." Day tours from Catania, Taormina, or Messina are readily available for those who prefer a more hands-off approach. Reaching closer to the summit requires a mandatory guided tour due to safety regulations, making it more expensive. Don't forget to pack a jacket, as it gets windy at higher elevations, and sturdy footwear is a must due to the dusty terrain. The landscape transforms into a scene of otherworldly beauty, and witnessing smoke billowing from the active crater is a remarkable sight.

Amazing and spectacular
(Little advice if you want to gain space in you luggage, don’t bother to take a jacket. At the first station, you can rent one big jacket for 5€ and it’s enough) we visited Mont Etna at the end of august.

Great for hiking and trailing. You'll get beautiful scenery, see beautiful nature with different colors of lava rocks. It's a unique experience.

A must go, and one and done. We took the private 4x4 experience. I think much better than utilizing the cable car. Set it up in advance. However, would love to get closer. There is another tour with a special vehicle that takes you higher. If you’re a real adventurer then I would seek this out. If you prefer the dead crater and volcanic tubes then the 4x4 is for you.

I climbed Etna a couple of years ago – it was a very strong impression. Extremely unusual landscapes, absence of any life, landscape as if you were on another planet.

You can go up either by bus or on foot. We climbed on foot - difficult, but accessible with moderate physical fitness.

If you are still wondering whether it’s worth going here, it’s definitely worth it.

Beautiful place, feels like being on the moon, cable car cost 50 euro to go up on the Vulcan, going with bus cost 79 euro for one person, walking around and see crater 2001 year, it is free but you need to walk up of the crater, it makes tired but worth it to go.

Amazing we didn’t get the cable car because it’s 50 euro per person. But it’s worth it to climb it
