Fattoria Castello Di Monteriggioni

We had a wonderful experience with Tommaso who was working in the shop when we came in. We were lucky to find out that we were the first wine tasting of the season! Tommaso is a sommelier who guided us through our 6 wine tasting and was great at explaining every detail of the wine without over complicating the description. My husband enjoys wine but is not educated in the nuances while I am a wine enthusiast expanding my education and both of us were able to learn so much here. We spent about an hour and a half in the shop going through the tasting and learning about the wines. If you have even the slightest interest in learning about wine in the area, this is the place to stop and enjoy their delicious selection. Each of the wines was very distinctive and unique in their owns ways and worth shipping home if you’re traveling. A must try is their Liquoroso wine, a sweet fortified wine that is truly a special experience. And for any travelers who don’t speak Italian, Tommaso spoke English incredibly well and can explain everything just as amazingly in English as I’m sure he would in Italian. Thank you so much Fattoria for the best experience of wine on our trip!

Nearly 3 weeks in Europe and this was by far one of our favorite days. We were only ones on small tour of vineyard, the family was extremely polite, and informative. The lunch and wine tasting was by far theee best value our entire trip. And the wine became our favorite that lead to us purchasing it where ever it was served during our trip. I strongly recommend scheduling a tasting tour and include lunch because the restaurant is incredible,. Thank you so much I hope we will be able to find way to have this shipped to us in the states!

I was impresed that despite the fact that was just me in the shop, the seller invited me to taste the wines and had a discussion on how it tasted, flavours and the area near the citadel, where the winery is located. Left with some ”souvenirs” as well :)

We stumbled on this wine shop during an unexpected side trip to Monteriggioni and were so pleased! Matt, the sommelier manning the shop, was welcoming and provided us a wine tasting that not only expanded our palates but our knowledge of the wines of the region and wine making in general. It was a truly great experience.

We had a great visit in the town of Monteriggioni. And an even better visit to Fattoria Castello Di Monteriggioni. The town is just perfect. Great souvenir stores. Great restaurants. Cute Catholic Church. Great views of the Tuscan hillside. To top everything off, we visited The Fattoria. The customer service was friendly and informing. The wines were delicious. We had a little trouble with shipping, and they went out of their way to make it right. We would definitely do business with them again. Next time, we will make time to visit the Winery. Great wine and food at the restaurant (Cantinale). We were looking for another place but we found this restaurant instead. It was a very happy accident. Highly recommended.

Great small castle to visit. Had some great small museums and shops. It's located in beautiful italian countryside. It makes great place for romantic stroll to get the feeling of the old days of italy.

Esperienza stupenda! Grazie a Tommaso che ci ha illustrato dalla nascita dell'uva all'imbottigliamento del vino! Posizione bellissima ai piedi del castello di Monteriggioni! Cantina fantastica e ristorante ancora di più! Un grazie anche allo staff per la cordiale accoglienza e per i vizi durante la cena (e il successivo pranzo perché una volta sola non basta) Grazie ancora per tutto!

Proprietario molto simpatico ed alla mano. Ottimi vini (anche il loro Chianti...vino da pasto dal prezzo onesto e con bellissima etichetta...ottimo da bere o da regalare come souvenir). Spediscono anche in giro per l'Italia (non so se anche all'estero).
