Wow! What a place....

Our entire experience at the Castello San Marco was wonderful from start to finish in every aspect.

We were booked to stay for three nights, however due to a delayed flight from Venice, we missed our connection to Catania in Rome and couldn't get there till the next day. I had messages from Flavia at reception via WhatsApp - she was caring and so supportive towards us. She reassured me that they would do everything they could and would be eagerly waiting our arrival.

Upon arrival the next day, we were welcomed with excitement and enthusiasm. Flavia let us know that they had upgraded our room as a gesture to somewhat make up for our missed night and also included the beach club free of charge. We were so delighted - we hadn't expected this and it was such a nice surprise.

Our rooms were just gorgeous, the air con was fantastic (thank goodness as it was VERY hot outside) and the pool was utterly magic. The olive oil made on site is delicious and their various 'Spritz' aperitive options were really delightful....yum! Lunch by the pool was really yummy and quite good value. They even told us where we could go to buy the locally sourced cocktail ingredients.

The breakfasts were sublime - best coffee I've had in Italy and a wonderful choice of delicious and beautifully prepared food.

Our visit to the beach club was wonderful and swimming in the water there is something I'll never forget.

We dined at the on-site restaurant on our last night. It was such a beautiful meal and the service was exceptional. Mario prepared a special digestif of pomegranate at the table before dessert which was the most delightful performance to watch, and the drink he served may be the best thing I've smelt and tasted in my life! It was utterly wonderful.

We will be back - thank you to the whole team for a truly special experience and for your care towards us.

What a gorgeous island on a gorgeous island!
I cannot decide, which aspect of the "Castello di San Marco" overwhelmed most.
The great location? The quietness and peacefulness on that sometimes busy island of Sicily? The quality of the beds? The choice of pool or beach?
Well - most overwhelming was probably the friendliness of the entire(!) staff.
From reception to service (thank you Diana, Claudio and Carmelo) to the on-site engineers and especially the chambermaids were outstandingly friendly from the first to the last moment.
And of course there was our MOM Rosario - MOM as in "Master Of Mixology" - who provided us with the (and I'm NOT exaggerating here) best Aperitivi and Digestivi we've had in our entire life. And we've had quite a few 😉

Amazing Castello, super well located to visit the very nice places around. The service is top, worth 5 stars, the food super good and with local touch, they add local food, and home made meals. The Lido is super nice and confortable, they have a super dinner that can compete with one star Micheline restaurants, don’t forget to try their Amaro, local cocktail made of local liquor and local flavors. I recently held my wedding reception at Castello San Marco and also stayed at the hotel for about a week. Everything was nothing short of extraordinary.

Starting with the hotel itself. We had about 70 Americans at our wedding and about half stayed at Castello San Marco. When booking the rooms, there were many moving parts. Cinzia, Flavia and the rest of the staff were exceptional to work with. I was constantly amazed by their kindness, helpfulness and organization and would tell people all the time about how impressive they were! I was in communication with the staff often for months, so when we finally met, I felt like I had known them forever! We also booked many spa treatments (which were fantastic) and car transfers and they helped and scheduled everything with ease.

Pictures do not do this hotel justice. When we first walked onto the property the weekend of our wedding, we were shocked at just how beautiful it was. My husband kept saying we should have spent another week there for our honeymoon! The grounds are large and exquisite and the breakfast is incredible. I got to see many rooms and they were all absolutely gorgeous. All our guests couldn't speak more highly of their stay here.

As for the wedding: We chose the perfect place, thanks to our unbelievable wedding planner, Mariangela. Marilisa at Castello San Marco was incredibly kind and wonderful to work with. We ended up with unexpected bad weather the day of the wedding and the staff at Castello executed all changes flawlessly. They managed to make the day even more magical than we planned it to be! Also, the food at the cocktail hour, dinner and desserts were insanely good.

We have been talking about going back ever since we left and hope to do so as soon as possible. If you are looking to have an event here, do it. If you are looking to vacation here, do it!

My wife stayed here on our honeymoon and were blown away. The property is pretty big (hence being a castle) and has a massive pool, gardens, event center and a tennis court looking at Mt. Etna. It transforms at night with all of the lights around the hotel. Their dinners were absolutely amazing. Their staff was very friendly and helpful. I would give a big shout out to the stand alone bar that is open at night. If you like specialty cocktails and a great place to relax and visit, this is it. The room was very nice and clean and bar far the largest square feet we stayed during our month long trip. They also have their own beach club right across the street, however it was closed when we stayed (late October) We can not wait to go back!

We had a pleasant stay in this hotel. First of all the location was exquisite. An old castle with renovated rooms. Our room was huge and very nice with an open shower. The hotel is next to the beach , you can access it a the end of the hotel . The pool is also huge and very nice with a bar. The breakfast was astounding with very good service. They were also very fast with service. We did have dinner the first night in the restaurant and it was also very good. I definitely recommend staying at this hotel. Excellent experience!

We were there for a wedding. Absolutely wonderful. Don’t know about the hotel though.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay here. The grounds are exquisite, the suite was beautiful and comfortable, the staff were professional and attentive, and the food was incredible. The pool was gorgeous and you have easy access to a beach. I can’t recommend it enough. We also thought it would be a great wedding venue.

Absolutely stunning hotel. We stayed in one of the suites with a rooftop pool for our honeymoon. It was the best hotel we have ever stayed in and the restaurant is phenomenal. The service, atmosphere, facilities and vibe is absolutely stunning. Very relaxing, chilled, away from the hussle of Taormina but close enough to visit for a day trip. This place was absolute heaven, we loved it. Also try the cocktail and wine bar - it is exquisite.

Absolutely wonderful place with nice service. We spent 4 days out of seven in this hotel, which was in an ideal distance from Taormina but for a very reasonable price (we booked 4 months ahead). Our room had a magnificent 2.2x2.2 meter bed which was ideal for my height. Be prepared that the room is waaay bigger than you can imagine. The bed was comfy but tough as well. The breakfast was delicious and the staff was prepared for any request. Parking is easy and pool is wonderful and heated.

We stayed a week here on our honeymoon and I cannot recommend anywhere more highly.

This is an amazing hotel / location with a superb restaurant and excellent service throughout the day. It also has a private beach. The premises are nothing short of beautiful and impeccably maintained. (The one minor, minor, criticism is that the mattresses in the garden suite room could need a change - and the massages in the spa treatment packages are not good unfortunately - but these are external people). Otherwise everything is perfect 💯 and it is one of the most well-kept hotels I have been to. The owners -who I believe live in the Castello- can and should be very proud of their property.

We stayed in September 2021 and arrived at Castello di San Marco under heavy rain !
We discovered our room which was probably the very best room with an amazing pool inside !
The welcome at the reception was excellent and a particular warm appreciation of the "multi-task" performance of Alexandra at breakfast and dinner !

Our stay here was incredible! The property is beautiful and the staff is very knowledgeable and kind. We had a wonderful dinner at the restaurant, everything we tried was absolutely delicious. Overall a dreamy experience ⭐

Wow! What a find. I am traveling alone and my journey is all about bring spontaneous - so I had no idea what was in my future when I stumbled on to this magical place. The food! The grounds! The staff! The Beach? The dog! The Pool! Dreaming of coming back again with my family. True Bliss ❤

My husband and I arrived at Castello San Marco Charming Hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation, with graceful surroundings of natural beauty from great staff, dining and ample fresh garden herbs and vegetables straight from the garden.

A real treat for a perfect stay in Sicily. From the gourmet restaurant to a five star service, cosy peaceful bedrooms, great cocktails and a unique pool area 👏 We want more travel experience like this

Staying at Castello San Marco is a life experience. Had the chance to visit their premises in the morning and it's astonishing to just walk around in their park with rare plants. Etna in the background and Mediterranean sea visible across the trees, it is a luxurious location recommended if you want to discover what there's beyond Taormina.

We didn't stay here but we attended a wedding. The venue is absolutely stunning. We almost stayed here but it was fully booked. I'd have paid to stay here, it is good value for money. There are very good facilities.
