What a nice lunch we had!!!
We heard about it through Rick Stein’s cooking show and weren’t deceived. The food was delicious: antipasti as the main.
We even met a couple from Palermo who come regularly here to enjoy the tasty sea food.
It is worth the bus or cab drive to Mondello.

One of the best places to eat seafood in mondelo/ Palermo area! Recommended by our local friend, we were not disappointed! The seafood was very very good!

Highlights were: risotto fruto di mare, spaghetti Nero and spaghetti with pistachio sauce

Fresh and Visible Seafood, Quiet Sunday Evening, Only Issue is the Busy Road

I recently had the opportunity to dine at a seafood restaurant that caught my attention with its enticing display of fresh fish in a glass showcase. It was a pleasure to see the ingredients for my meal being presented so visibly, as it added an element of transparency and quality assurance to the dining experience.

Upon being seated, I decided to inquire about the weight of the fish I intended to order. The staff members were attentive and promptly provided me with the information I needed. However, the restaurant's location on a busy road posed a minor inconvenience. The noise from passing traffic occasionally disrupted the otherwise peaceful setting.

The revisited Sicilian cassata at this restaurant was absolutely delicious.

Love this place, we frequented this restaurant almost daily on our 5 day holiday in mondello. Nelly and Michele are the owners and are wonderful hosts. Luigi took great care of me and my friends and the food was delicious. Pasta, seafood, wine, and view were some of the best we had on our trip! We will be back!

The experience of eating at Simpaty was a constant crescendo from the moment I entered the taxi in Palermo. The driver told me that the rEstaurant is good as locals usually eat there. On arrival I am pleasantly surprised to see a small, cozy, wooden room overlooking the charming bay of Mondelo. The elderly Sicilian couples around me had their noses on the plates, concentrating on the food and leaving potentially distressful discussions to the amaro. Although the service was a bit slow, this was appreciated as it gave us time to sit, relax and enjoy the sun, the sea and the Mondello hills. The starters were excellent, amongst the best caponata I have tried to date. The real winner, however was the pasta, in particular the linguine a lastice. The pasta was perfectly cooked and the sauce was gloriously amalgamated to it. Sincerely recommended. Of course the price is not very cheap, but this is also a good sign that the fish is of good quality.

It was doo good but when I went there they did not have vanilla ice cream but it was good overall

Ristorante molto buono e "simpatico" grazie alla professionalità e alla disponibilità di Giacinto. Il "pescato del giorno" all'acqua pazza con patate si è rivelato un ottimo consiglio. Lo stesso vale per la frittura di calamaretti e per l'insalata di polipetti e calamaretti. Gli involtini di pesce spada erano ugualmente squisiti. Il tutto sulla terrazza che offre una vista mozzafiato...

Il sapore del pesce fresco, questa è la prima cosa in assoluto che va scritta.
Accogliente, pulito e ben organizzato, una vera chicca nel caos di Mondello.
Accolti nonostante non avessimo prenotato, siamo stati coccolati e riempiti di attenzioni.
Piatti squisiti e soprattutto una vista mare che innamora qualsiasi essere umano.
