Just spent 2 glorious days here at the hotel. Exceptional service, the staff is absolutely wonderful. The room was beautiful and clean. The views are magnificent. I highly recommend this hotel. The hotel manager is Ciro and he is a consummate professional and goes above and beyond to make sure guests are happy.

Spent three nights at the hotel - 2 adults and teenager. Really great hotel with helpful and friendly staff. Good facilities if you want to just stay in the hotel. Maiori is a lovely town with a good place to explore the rest of the Amalfai coast.
I would recommend this hotel.

This place and their owners and staff salvaged our Amalfi Coast vacation! We were able to leave a horrible, cheap hotel "highly recommended" by our travel agent and book a beautiful suite at Botanico at the very last minute, not even an hour after we arrived at Maiori. This hotel is beautiful with breathtaking views! You definitely feel like you're in beautiful Italy on the beautiful Amalfi Coast. All the staff members were so kind and helpful. It is important to note that not all rooms/suites are the same, and it is absolutely worthwhile to pay extra for a gorgeous, spacious, and romantic suite with the most amazing views from Maiori. We enjoyed our stay here, and whenever we go back to Maiori, this is the only place I'll stay in. It's grounds are so pretty as well... it's like you're in an enchanted garden. Breathtaking in every way! I don't have many pictures of the hotel on this phone, but I'll post a couple.

Amazing views, spectacular staff and delicious European breakfast buffet. The trickiest part is finding the hotel entrance (and parking lot if you drove). Once you settle in, this is an amazing hotel.

We stayed here for 6 nights and had a great time. Left our car and keys in the lot so the staff can repark as new guests arrive.

The rooms are a bit small but if you’re spending more time than just the night sleeping in the rooms then why are you even here? The pool is perfect temperate, service is great (from the porter carrying bags to the front desk reception and the bartenders/waitress to cleaning.

Beautiful!! Family run hotel with wonderful friendly service. Highly recommend this place. The view from our corner room was incredible! Pool was beautiful. Restaurant was outstanding and the breakfast buffet was wonderful. You have access to their private beach and towels and chairs and umbrellas.

This was my 2nd time visiting this hotel because we had such a great experience the first time. We were as equally impressed this stay. The entire hotel staff is so helpful, professional, and friendly. Domenico, the GM, greeted us and took us on tour of the gardens and to the top of the lemon orchard. He also arranged for a water taxi, private shuttle and helped with other special accommodations-we had a group of 15 people and 8 rooms. And how about Antonio carrying 30 bags and helping with other requests. The entire staff was incredible. And the view can’t be beat-one of the best views on the Amalfi Coast and in the world! Highly recommend it and we will be back!

This was our 1st time in Hotel Botanico San Lazzaro. I had visited lot’s of 5-star hotel around the world, but I’m still impressed by our stay in Hotel Botanico San Lazzaro. We have been very fortune, to stay in a suite with an unbeatable view on the Amalfi Coast. The trickiest part is finding the hotel entrance (and parking lot if you drove). Once you settle in, there is a panoramic lift to this amazing hotel. From every corner of the various terraces, the restarant, from the rooms, the whirlpool of the SPA you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the sea and are surrounded by hundred-year-old succulents, flowers and lemon groves. The pool is perfectly located, service @the pool is great. Great Thank you to Antonio and Veronica for their unbeatable friendliness. Domenico, the GM, greeted us from start to end of our stay, so friendly, unbeatable. He explained the gardens and the the lemon orchard. The entire staff was incredible, helpful, professional, and friendly. Front desk reception answered all questions. Highly recommend, we will be back!

We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights and had a great time! The view from this hotel is stunning. We met the porter at the reception downstairs who helped us take our luggage upstairs. There is a panoramic lift to the hotel and then about 20 odd steps to reception. We were given welcome drinks which we enjoyed with the amazing view of Maori. The staff was very warm and welcoming. We liked our room as it had traditional touch to it. The breakfast was lovely with plenty of choices. We were little disappointed that they had no iron in the room but when asked for it they told us this was due to safety reasons and offered to iron some of our clothes for us. Maori is a lovely quiet town with beautiful views and some really good restaurants. The port is only 15 mins walk from the hotel and easily accessible to other towns. Amalfi is only 15 mins on the Ferry. We highly recommend this hotel.

All the staff are really friendly and so easy to talk to. We had an amazing view from our hotel room. Such a beautiful hotel and lovely to walk round. Felt so relaxed there. The boat ride was 10 mins from Amalfi which made our days really exciting. We definitely will be back. Thank you for an amazing time.

We found this little gem 💎 by total chance but what a find! Tucked high in the hills overlooking the Amalfi coast, the vista is spectacular! The grounds are adorned with multiple levels of gardens, a pool and a jacuzzi, bars and restaurants. To add to this, the entire staff go out of their way to make you feel special. GianFranco and Veronica especially were standout service superstars! We will definitely be coming back.

We stayed at this hotel last week. 18-21 Oct 2017. Although it is the end of the season on the Almafi Coast, and we were one of 2 or 3 couples staying here, we were treated as if the hotel was full. We had so many choices for breakfast it was hard to decide what to eat. The restaurant was open every evening, as was the pool, terraces, and bar. The staff was warm and inviting, and answered all of our questions regarding what to do while visiting the area. Our room was on the 3rd floor, and large enough to be comfortable. The bath and shower were on the smaller side, but how much time do you actually spend in there? The balcony, while not private, overlooked the town, and provided stunning views of the town, and the extraordinarily beautiful sunsets. If we ever get back to the area we will definitely stay here again. Note: This hotel is built on the side of a mountain. You take a lift from the street level lobby, and then walk up about 40 steps to the main lobby. I would not recommend staying here if you are not able up to walk up stairs. Luckily, the porter will carry your luggage to/from your room, and the effort is greatly rewarded.

Paid €5 per person to see their cactus garden and they gave us the €5 back as a credit for drinks at their outdoor sea view bar. Great service.

Hotel is at the nicest location. 15-20
Mins to drive to amalfi. Pretty rooms. Pretty garden and restaurant. Clean and spacious. Nice staff. Wonderful stay overall.
Just that there is no board on the main road. It gets confusing to get to the hotel.

Spectacular views and amenities. Quite the gem on the hillside of Maiori, one of the quieter towns on the Amalfi coast. Highly recommend this place if you want to get away from the crowds and enjoy the Amalfi allure witj more of a local feel than Amalfi. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and well kept. I will say there seemed to be a bit of an ant problem on the balcony, but it wasn’t a huge deal. Also Wasn’t super impressed with the food, but it definitely wasn’t bad by any stretch.

The property is set up on the hillside, and you take a cool little elevator/lift up a couple hundred feet, where you then need to climb a few dozen more steps to get to the hotel, But the views are worth it. Highly recommend this place for a nice romantic getaway. Not too busy, nice pool and hot tub. A nicely manicured garden, private beach and easy access to the port where you can catch a ferry to the other big name towns on the coast(Positano, Amalfi).

Looking for a fun activity? Try the hike on the Lemon Trail from Maiori to Minori. Beautiful views and a charming little 1-1.5 mile adventure through the hillside.

This is the best place I’ve ever stayed!! Vincenzo and the entire staff was so wonderful and hospitable to these foreign travelers!! The food was second to none, the service was amazing, and the views were so panoramic and the absolute most beautiful thing we have ever witnessed from sun up, to sun down. We took our international tour of Italy to the next level with this place, and we left the Amalfi coast as our grande finale, and I can’t praise Maiori, and Hotel Botanico san Lazzaro enough. The spa treatments, the food, the pool, the hospitality is worth it’s weight in gold!! Please come stay here now, and you can thank me later!! Best place to be in the entire world!!

Ciao!!

The pictures do not do it justice. This hotel was beautiful and perfectly located. I agree with some reviews that check-in could be sped up a bit, but every hotel previously was like this as well, as they needed copies of passports, etc. The only real issue was locating the entrance, the signage wasn't the best but the location, service, views, food, etc. were all above average! I plan to go back and stay at this hotel.

Very nice hotel with outstanding staff who cannot do enough for you. The hotel is tastefully decorated and very clean in all areas, the garden is a fantastic example of how to garden with poor dry soils on terrace too, would love to go again.

The most beautiful views & friendly staff I have ever come across. This place was literally perfect. We ended up changing our flights just to stay one extra night because we loved it so much!
