The Castello di Tassara cannot be praised enough. The place is so beautiful! Just like your dream of Italy.
Caterina is the perfect host who truely makes you feel at home. Her cook will make you pine after her food for year to come. And her gardener must be magican to keep the park so beautiful, even in the heat of summer.
The rooms are very spacious and the interieur is just stunning.
We spent five perfect days there and cannot wait to return next year.

What a absolute amazing experience! We had a wedding here, and stayed for 3 days. The food was amazing and authentic Italian. The host, chefs and all staff were extremely friendly and it felt like a Family. This is the perfect place to get away and experience the countryside of Italy

Castello di Tassara was the backdrop of our four-day intimate wedding celebration with a small group of our closest friends and family. Most of our guests stayed with us in the Castello for the three nights, and our wonderful host, Caterina, was kind enough to help us arrange accommodation for the few extra guests in the village.

Hosting our wedding celebration here was the best decision we could possibly have made. My wife and I arranged the event from where we live in the Caribbean with Caterina over email and she was incredibly helpful and attentive to us. We took the approach of putting our trust in her and the events coordinator that she suggested to make the detailed arrangements and gave them a general direction of what we wanted for the four days, instead of subjecting ourselves to the trauma of micromanaging a life event that should be full of joy and above love, and not about the perfect shade of tablecloth. This approach paid off completely and what we experienced at the Castello was just beyond words. We were consistently and constantly impressed by what Caterina and her team delivered.

We feasted each day on the most gorgeous authentic Italian food and wine. The area around the Castello is picturesque and off the beaten track. We hope the throngs our tourists that bombard Venice and Florence don’t catch wind of this beautiful valley. The Castello is incredibly comfortable and has boundless character. A place of this nature could easily be described as “rustic”, but we found it to be luxurious.

The few days we spent with our friends and family at this one-of-a-kind location will be etched into all our memories forever and we’ll always look back at our time here fondly. Guests who met each other for the first time arrived as strangers and left as friends, meeting up each other again during their travels in Italy afterwards. We were very sad to leave and can’t wait to celebrate an anniversary at the Castello in future and to see Caterina again.

Sehr schönes Hotel in einem alten Schloss! Der Pool ist toll, das Frühstück passt super, die Zimmer sind sehr schön (aber ohne Klimaanlage, was absolut auszuhalten ist)! Insgesamt hatten wir einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt dort und in der Umgebung gibts überraschend viele sehr gute und nette Restaurants. Die Gegend ist auch zum Radfahren ein Traum!

Scoperto per caso, un vero gioiello incastonato tra verdi colline Bellissime camere, splendidi saloni dove rilassarsi, super piscina nel parco. Struttura affascinante ed organizzazione perfetta in ogni dettaglio, grande gusto e qualità dei lavori di ristrutturazione. Magnifica location per festeggiare un matrimonio. L' accoglienza amichevole di una casa privata. Posto ideale per staccare completamente dagli impegni ad un' ora e mezza da Milano. Piscina panoramica e grandi curatissime stanze.

posto da sogno, sembra di essere in toscana ma si è a solo 1 ora 30 da milano. la location, il giardino, le stanze, la casa, l'arredo. tutto è curato con un gusto raro, frutto evidente di grande passione. anche la piscina in pietra, con le docce antiche, la casetta colorata per gli asciugamani, i fiori e i cipressi a fare da cornice. il castello poi è ristrutturato magnificamente. pavimento in cotto e in cementine originali, i muri di pietra a vista, arredo frutto dei numerosi viaggi della proprietaria non chè arredatrice del podere. Signora squisita, garbata e gentile. camere bellissime e spaziose. posto perfetto per rilassarsi per una due o più notti. colazione servita nel prato che si apre sulle colline dalla Val Tidone, nel versante più bello dell'Oltrepo. Pavese. Prezzo onestissimo per quello che offre. torneremo senz'altro e raccomando a chiunque di fare altrettanto.

Io e mia figlia abbiamo appena trascorso 2 giorni paradisiaci in completo relax in questa favolosa struttura. La disponibilità e la simpatia della Sig.ra Caterina ci ha messo totalmente a nostro agio.Ci torneremo sicuramente..🥰
