Lovely restaurant with excellent food and service
We opted for the blind tasting menu "the soul" and 5 wine pairing.
The amuse bouche set the tone a wonderful selection of textures. The pasta dishes were full of favour and complemented by local regional wines. Stand out dish was the artichokes cooked 3 ways covered in an artichoke ash

We had a wonderful evening in Il Principe restaurant. All of the team are amazing and so proffessional but the food really stole the show. The culinary creations were truly delicious and the stories surrounding them are enchanting.

This restaurant absolutely should be on your list of must eat places if you're in the Pompeii region. Everything from the welcome, the attentive yet unobtrusive service, to the light background music sets this place apart without even starting on the food. The flavours were excellent, the ingredients fresh and the wine list extensive. Overall an amazing night out. We've eaten at a few places around Pompeii and this is by far our favourite. Go, you won't be disappointed.

It has been an amazing unexpected experience. Place is really beautiful and cosy in a very centric location. Service is attentive and very kind. Food is just amazing, original, different. As an extra they bring a little starter and they gave us a little macaroni desert, both amazing tast. Totally worth.

Creative menu, stunning presentation, delicious flavors, fresh ingredients and friendly service. We absolutely LOVED our lunch in the restaurant's herb garden after touring the Pompeii ruins. Gian Marco Carli is truly an artist.

Extra ordinary awesome food! I truly recommend to all friends of good food. We took the 5 course fish menu but now I regret we didn't go for 7 course.

Incredible food, I would literally stop over in Pompei again just to go to this restaurant. The service was a bit rushed, but the food made up for that.

Amazing quality at this modern Pompeii restaurant. First of all the setting is more of a wide home dining area with bookshelves and comfortable leather sofas. I must say that when you are given a table bag holder as a lady, the restaurant is already starting on a high note for me. Such attentiveness is scarce these days. Food wise I was really enthusiastic for my grano arso starter with raw tuna and guacamole followed by a fresh squid and prawns zuppetta. Chef makes everything in-house and it shows, the flour 1 grade bread was exceptional. Service was also of a high standard, kind and attentive, present but not overpowering.
Certainly a place to visit again! Highly recommended

Just a stunning menu delivered to the highest standard with lots of local and personal touches from the chef and management. Having eaten at more than our fair share of starred restaurants this place more than deserves one. Delicious and delightful.

Significantly impressed at our meal. Excellent execution, very professional and attentive service. We had the four course tasting (party of five and one small child) and this is easily the best meal we’ve had so far on this trip to Italy. The quality of ingredients and preparation exceeded our expectations and we would certainly dine here again.

When art and gastronomy meet; you have Il Principe! I have dined at many Michelin star restaurants around the world and this restaurant is up there with one of the best! Massimo’s service and knowledgeable of the menu was outstanding and it complimented the theatrics of the food! I could not recommend this place high enough! Even if your not staying in Pompeii this place deserves a visit! Thank you Il Principe for allowing me into your artistic edible world! Pure yumminess!

Pompeii was a last minute addition to our trip so we never planned to come here. Our hotel recommended we try it. 60euro tasting menu may sound expensive but my lord it was incredible. We went to a Michelin star restaurant a couple of days later in Amalfi and this was 100 times better. Absolutely delicious food and relaxed in-pretentious atmosphere
