Hotel Residence Il Porto

We just said goodbye to Il Porto, and couldn’t have been happier with our stay. The views from the terraces were incredible, the rooms clean and generously spaced, the pool area stunning, and the access to the beach club via reservation (it’s a 5-10 minute drive) was just perfect. We had a lovely dinner at the restaurant and can’t recommend this place enough. We hope to return someday!

An excellent hotel with apartment style rooms gives you the best of both worlds especially when traveling with a 3-year old toddler. The 2 bedroom and small kitchen with large outdoor balcony space plus the amenities of a hotel with pool, restaurant, housekeeping, etc. A few minute drive to the water as well as a great jumping off point to visit the Umbra Forest, mountain top towns, and cliff side beaches. My only minor complaint was the wifi was a little slow at 4 mb/s which was sometimes tricky working remotely or doing video calls. The staff was super helpful and friendly, and also set us up with a great Kayak tour with a fantastic guide. Would definitely stay again!

The best family holiday break we had. The resort was awesome with stunning views around. It was right on the cliff and by the see. It's restaurants staff were extremely nice and helpful. This place/resort has surely become our family holiday destination.

Hotel Residence Il Porto is a rare gem in Italy. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment with a terrace overlooking the sea. We brought our dog and kids. The hotel is incredibly pet and family friendly. The room has everything you need for a pretty long stay....a big fridge, dishwasher, and kitchen. The customer service was 5* and many of the staff spoke English. The food in the restaurant will literally blow your mind. My only disappointment was that the menu didn’t vary while we were there, so we ate out in town the 3rd night. Big mistake, because the hotel restaurant is so much better! The breakfast was typical Italian and delicious, the infinity pool is amazing, and each room comes with 2 chairs and an umbrella at the beach. You have to drive a few minutes to the beach (there was no
Shuttle available), but parking is free, and the water was crystal clear! We had amazing cocktails and aperitivi by the pool. I want to go back!

A marvellous place, with a beautiful sea view and stylish apartments, placed on the hill surrounded by olive trees. Very romantic! It also has a restaurant, which in our opinion was one of the best in the region. Service was also really good, not penetrant but also around when you need it. We had a very enjoyable week and would like to come back again.
PS: the private beach was also very nice, with a shuttle service to it.

The view is awesome. The room was clear, equipped with everything we could want. If you want to visit this part of Italy, they will help you to have the best experience.

This was our second visit to Il Porto and every bit as good as our visit last year. We have recommended it to friends who stayed recently and sang it praises. We brought guests with us who also thoroughly enjoyed the stay. 5 star rating on all levels with especially appreciation to all the staff who are friendly , efficient and totally professional. The food is excellent, the wine list wide and interesting. We will return next year! Thank you to everyone for a most enjoyable stay. Mr and Mrs Gordon.

This place is incredible. The people working here are unbelievably nice. Was worried about how things would be with my 2 year old son, but everyone is extremely understanding, and they seem to genuinely enjoy having kids running around. The room is fantastic, and the view is unbelievable.

It’s hard to describe this place! It needs some repairs and remodelation but in general it had everything we need. Excellent personal, wonderful view, great pool and confortable rooms. We will definitely come back!

Excellent service, cute cat became our (and everybody else's) friend on the terrace :). Amazing room/apartment with a gorgeous views. Perfect place to relax. Restaurant serves really good food. Would go back again in a heartbeat!

My wife and I stayed in the hotel from Sept 28th until October 5th 2016. This is a suberb hotel. The bed was extremely comfortable, the room spotlessly clean and well equipped. The atmosphere in the hotel was friendly, helpful, quiet and unfussy. The staff were all excellent whether at reception, the dining room, the beach or just talking to the cheerful and friendly domestics who cleaned the rooms so well.

Breakfast is marvellous and although we prefer mostly to eat out, the few lunches and dinners we had in the hotel were also first class and the dining room has an excellent and reasonably priced wine list.

The hotel is an excellent centre for touring the the marvellous Gargano Peninsula, and its private beach which can be seen from the balconies outside the rooms was a simple, uncrowded pleasure with really top notch, fresh food being served even so late in the season.

We have stayed in a wide variety of hotels and other establishments across Italy over a good number of years now and I think that Il Porto has got to go to the top of the list. The Gargano was new to us, but the friendly atmosphere, the quality of food and restaurants and just the whole environment will make it, and Il Porto, our destination of choice at least for the next few years. We really couldn't fault it and it gets a very well deserved 5 stars.

It is a great place to stay, the surrounding is lovely, the employees are very friendly, the apartments are pretty and very clean. What could be improved is the wifi connection in the apartments, and the menu card - which is the same for dinner every day. We loved our stay there, I would recommend it.

Amazing service and experience every time: not only is the staff kind and helpful but the food is phenomenal. I do not put this lightly when I say the meals I have had al Porto are some of the best meals I have ever had. All the stars.
