THE BEST! Highly recommended if you re staying in Amalfi! It has a stunning view. Very close to the center. Just 10 min walk - yes there are stairs but it’s the easiest ones compared to others on the coast. We stayed there for 4 nights as our honeymoon and everything was Perfect! PS they have the best small chocolate croissants! Got addicted

The hotel is just amazing. 20/10 for the service they provided us during our stay. They tried to accommodate our needs and the staff was very kind and helpful. Francessa was very helpful.

Overall experience was excellent. Surely recommended place for the tourists. Has beautiful balcony view, clean washrooms, has elevator and
It’s very close to the Amalfi Town. Has bus stop right in front of the hotel. Bus ride charged EU 2/ person.
The breakfast had very good vegetarian options as well.

This is my favorite hotel I have ever stayed in! The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. It is a family run hotel with the most amazing service. There is a delicious breakfast every morning as well. I would 100% recommend an ocean view room. Our view was unbeatable! We didn’t want to leave our room because our balcony was so gorgeous. I have never met such a wonderful staff in my life. We would love to return to Amalfi soon, and if we do, we will definitely be staying at Hotel Il Nido!

Where do I start… the hotel on its own is one of the best places we stayed in Italy.
Room:
Make sure you get a room with the ocean view. Took our breath away!

Food:
Breakfast spread was of quality food, selection was very delicious.

Location:
Superb! Quiter side of Amalfi but not far from the city center. Walking towards the city center and back to the hotel gives you a great view of the Amalfi coast.

Francesca was the best! Made our stay so seamless, very helpful prior to checking in up until check out!

We spent five days here and enjoyed it all. Views, service, breakfast, and staff. Very enjoyable, would definitely book here again should we make it back to Amalfi!

The hotel is very beautiful indeed. Everything was exceptional (hotel interior, sea view, location, rooms, cleanliness, service, breakfast). Staff is polite and friendly. The receptionist lady welcomed us and informed about all nearby locations, sample map, routes, travel options and suggestions which was very helpful for us. The breakfast and the view from breakfast area plus the sea view rooms were superb. Aldo asked us our preference for coffee/tea or any breakfast options and was polite and friendly. Hotel also has a Terrace(with beach chairs) on the top floor and with a view. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel.

Stayed at Hotel il Nido to kick off our honeymoon in Amalfi.

We got a balcony room overlooking the coast, and feel very lucky to have found the hotel, given it is great value and the surrounding hotels are a lot pricier. The hotel is very clean and well maintained as well.

The staff were so great. Francesca, one of the receptionists, was always warm and knowledgeable. There's also a gentleman who works the evening reception who was also very helpful! They go above and beyond.

Breakfast spread is good. Aldo who manages breakfast is very attentive and ensures guests are taken care of.

Thanks Hotel Il Nido for an unforgettable stay =)

I can’t say enough about this great family-run hotel. The view from the standard room balcony was stunning. The full moon shining on the water at night was an unexpected delight. Having a great breakfast in a dining room with panoramic views started the day well. This was probably the cleanest hotel I’ve ever stayed in anywhere. So charming! Service was great. Francesca and Domenico were especially helpful. We liked the walk down to town, even going down and back up 206 steps on the hillside! You can walk to town and back on a pedestrian walkway (mostly) without doing the steep steps, but we liked working off the gelato and pastries. Everyone seems to walk to town. Taxis are outrageously expensive, 20 euros each way for the half mile trip to town. But the Sita bus stops quite near the hotel and costs about 1.5 euros each way. Buy bus tickets at a tabacco store and be sure to validate on the bus using the machine beside the driver’s seat. The hotel room and bathroom were a little small as in most typical Italian hotels, but it worked just fine for two of us. There’s a beautiful roof top terrace you can also use. If you go to Amalfi, make time to see Ravello and the villas and gardens there. The hotel arranged a tour for us, which was excellent. To get to Amalfi, I arranged the train from Rome nonstop to Salerno then a ferry from Salerno to Amalfi to avoid any bus or car driving on the hair-raising coastal road. The main Salerno train station is an easy walk to the Travelmar ferry. I recommend getting tickets in advance if you can especially if you’re going during busy season. That was all easy to reserve in advance as the Trenitalia train website is easy to navigate as was the Travelmar ferry. From Amalfi, you can also take the ferry or other boat services all over the area including to Positano and Capri. Finally, I wondered what early April would be like—it was chilly the whole week with some rain and sun, but we wore layers and the cool weather was best for walking a lot. Avoid Easter week and weekend which also coincides with the Italian public school holiday—lots of tourists! I will definitely come back to the lovely Hotel Il Nido and beautiful Amalfi.

Location is very good, only 7-8’ walk to Amalfi town. Yes you have to walk on the street until you reach these stairs that take you down, but as you will see, this is completely normal on the Amalfi Coast.
The breakfast is excellent and the view superb.
Rooms are very spacious and clean.
Excellent service from the reception, Francesca you are the best.

The photos on the website do not do this place justice. This hotel is a perfect gem in Amalfi. It is reasonably priced in comparison to the other hotels taking advantage of the masses of tourists visiting the Amalfi Coast. The hotel is spotlessly clean and you feel all your exhaustion from the day of climbing through the Amalfi Coast hills melt away when you come back to this property. There is always someone at the desk happy to help. When we were dissatisfied with our original room due to the layout, they were happy to change it to something that fit our wants. The breakfast spread is very nice and it is served alongside a beautiful view of the water. It was a must for me to stay somewhere with a view and Il Nido did not disappoint! Highly recommend staying here!

Great views of the Mediterranean from the private balconies of the rooms as well as the main lobby breakfast area. Quick and easy walk down to the town of Amalfi or the front desk can get you a taxi any time of day. Would stay again!

Highly recommended!
If you are traveling to the Amalfi Coast this is the place to stay! Very friendly staff, super beautiful rooms cleaned once or twice a day for your convenience every day of your stay. Amazing included breakfast, something new and delicious is always on serve. More to that, they will make any of your requests possible, you’d like to park your car in their garage - they’ll do it for free. You want to arrange a cake? They’ll find the best baker and arrange it for you at a very fair cost.
Thank you for having us Hotel il Nido! We will definitely come back.

The hotel is super clean and very comfortable, staff are so accommodating and happy to help with anything. It is a 10 minute walk from the town, and there are plenty of steps involved, but don’t let that stop you from enjoying this hidden gem, with impeccable views!

What a brilliant hotel. The rooms have an identity and the views are breath taking. Location is perfect as you can have a quiet time and you are a short walk to Almafi town centre.

Delightful! The views were amazing and we had a balcony with our room. The hotel's decor is a bit dated, but I loved it -- it had a welcoming and homey feel to it. Parking was very convenient and it was a great location that was easy to get to. Everyone that worked there was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely book this hotel again if we are blessed with being able to return to this magnificent area of Italy.

The most amazing service ever, very helpful, we missed breakfast but still wanted a coffee and they made us an entire tray of fresh pastries, juice and coffee on the house. Photos don't do it justice, rooms are very authentic, vintage Italian style but still very comfortable and cute. The balconies are a good size, still with privacy and the view is just like a postcard with a mix of ocean, the Amalfi cliffs and town. Stunning place, we didn't want to leave
