Villa La Lumia B&B Suites & Apartments

Once of best holels/B&Bs I've ever stayed at the Villas are as amazing as the view. Service and food are top shelf. Would return in a heartbeat. Loved it.

In my opinion, this is one of the most magical places that you can stay in Sicily! You’ll be surrounded by multi hundred year, old olive trees, overlooking the valley of the temples and the Mediterranean. The estate has been in the same family since the 1800s and they are the most hospitable friendly folks we met in Sicily.

Beautiful, peaceful place. Very caring and kind hosts. Amazing breakfast. Surrounded by orange trees and a garden. Very clean. Couldn't recommend it more.

Where do I start? This place is simply one of the nicest places I've every stayed. The villa we stayed in was immaculate and spacious. There we beautiful stone floors with high rough-hewn wood beam ceilings. We had an elegant kitchen, bar, dining room, and sitting area. The bedroom was nicely appointmented with high ceilings as well. The front sitting area overlooked the olive gardens, jacuzzis, and outdoor bar, with views overlooking the Valley of the Temples in the distance. The proprietor, Luigi, and his staff, were welcoming, friendly, and attentive to our needs. The cook Francesca made mouth-watering delights every morning for breakfast. I highly recommend this B&B, I know we will return in the future.

We loved our stay at Villa la Lumia! It is a family run business with several suites and apartments of different sizes! Luigi was a great host, on-site, always a smile and quick to respond. Breakfast on the lawn was very enjoyable with a variety of food choices, including eggs to order, fresh fruit, juice and pastries. Dinner was extra and prepared by Salvatore, Luigi's uncle. It was a traditional Sicilian seafood and pasta multi course meal that was perfectly prepared, including wine. The only challenge was driving down a tight driveway in our mid size SUV, but we highly recommend this B&B! The Valley of Temples was a highlight of our Sicily tour. Luigi can recommend local guides which made the experience worth every euro!

Everything we were looking for, and a short walk to dinner. Very lovely view, fine rooms, millennia-old olive trees, and a nice breakfast.

As other reviews have noted, their internet/WI-FI is currently not working, awaiting a repair or service provider change.

This was one of the best stays we have had in a long time. The hotel is in the middle of a olive and orange grove with fantastic view of the Valley of Temples. You can see the Temples and the Sea in the distance. Our room was the king size with a view and it was massive with a spacious living area and very functional sitting area up front.

The dinner and breakfast were both very good, the dinner being the highlight, lots of delicious seafood anti pasto, excellent pasta and a lemon sorbet. The dinner also includes the excellent house wine which we loved.Breakfast is simple and filling lots of fruit options some from their own farm on premise.

Parking is on premise and the greek temples are 2 min drive. Would recommend a car for sure i did not do a lot of research but anecdotally did not see a lot of public transport options close by.

The place is run by a family who are simply lovely and makes the whole experience just more special.

Villa La Lumia was recommended by another hotel that cancelled my booking.

I doubt that my original choice could have exceeded the quality of Villa La Lumia.

We had a suite with a comfortable sofa area, a proper kitchen and a very, very comfortable bed.

The staff could not have been kinder and the breakfast was exactly what one would expect in Sicily but served with preserves made from the Villa's fruit groves.

The views over to the temples and down to the sea were perfect.

I cannot recommend this place enough, the kind staff, the situation and the location are all perfect.

We very much enjoyed our short stay at the Villa Lumia. The place is easy to find and the hosts are really wonderful. We were greeted by the son, who helped us with our bags and checked us into our room. The rooms were very recently upgraded, as everything seemed brand new and very clean and comfrotable as well. We had a wonderful room which had a view of the temples right from our window. The breakfast in the garden was phenomenal, with fresh picked fruits and great coffee. Would totally recommend!

The rooms are large, some with living/dining room and kitchenette. The grounds are beautiful with spaces to sit out and enjoy a glass of wine in the evening. Staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Loved it!

The photos do not do this place justice. It was the most beautiful place my husband and I stayed during our 10 days all over Sicily. My one regret is only spending one night. We were able to walk to the Temples and a lovely dinner, drink wine on our patio, and wake up to a lovely breakfast served outside. The owners couldn’t have been nicer and the price was a steal. Highly recommend!

Family owned and operated. A beautiful spot that’s both near the action of Agrigento while also feeling like a secluded paradise. Had a lovely stay and was made to feel absolutely at home by Luigi and company. Highly recommended.

Beautiful view on the valley of temples and the sea behind. You can walk to the temples as well, which is very practical.
Dinner on site was amazing, as well as the breakfast. Would come back anytime !

Loved the place! The location, the setting, the view… Despite my mistake in booking a room with no balcony, the owners offered us the option to change or use the pictured terrace, which we loved.

What a perfect, beautiful, peaceful location! Overlooking the ruins, family run. The town is nothing to speak of but staying an extra fry to enjoy the grounds and surroundings was a good idea. Luigi was the consummate host!

Great family run villa. Super close to the temples. We ate an incredible home cooked traditional Italian meal!

Good location, beautiful atmosphere, people are very kind, feels like my family and home. Surrounded by beautiful olive trees. Breakfast is very good too. Wanted to stay moooooore.

We were looking forward so much to staying here but because of a personal situation they were very understanding and communicative. Person I communicated with was Luigi… I hope to stay here if I’m lucky and well enough to visit Agrigento. Grazie, Alan

Wonderfull place with very helping hosts. Middle of orange tree fields, taste those delicious oranges. Breakfast on Terrasse with view on the tempel. Have a walk in the country side with the hosts dogs...
