Osteria Da Antonio

I’m a meat lover, but if it comes to fish, I’m even more picky. Very good fish restaurants in Naples are not rare, but to find fish restaurants which are really outstanding is a challenge. Osteria Da Antonio is one of them.
The owner greets the guests personally, in a very warm-hearted manner, like family.

The fresh food is visible in the fridge. Everything looks clean, fresh, and is well presented.
The vegetable soup was very rich & absolutely delicious.
We had a pasta dish with shell fish. The pasta was perfectly cooked “al dente” and the shellfish so fresh that it was tender as butter and sweet. Unfortunately it is rare to find this kind of quality in the US.

The fish and sea food was so tasty that I was melting. I was a little bit worried about the taste of the swordfish, because I have had excellent, and also terrible swordfish in my life. But even the Swordfish on my mixed grilled platter was really phenomenal.

The food comes relatively fast, the service is very careful and friendly, and the amount of food was more than we expected.

Even that the restaurant is near a touristic area, the prices are very fair for the high quality fish & seafood served.

The entrance door of the restaurant is wide open so that the air conditioning cannot adequately cool down the whole restaurant, but this seems to be a problem in general in Italy in the summer.

In four days we went two times to have dinner in the Osteria Da Antonio - so you can imagine how much we loved it 🥰👍🏻

This is beautiful place in Naples, close to the Beberello porto for take boats for sorrento.
This is a HIDE GEM restaurant, THE FOOD is VERY GOOD, we tried the polpo a la lucciana AMAZING the best polpo that I have tried in my entire LIFE. Then the veal was DELICIOUS, we love ir because is a very tradicional restaurant with more than 40 years operate, is very warm the owner and his son attend the restaurant. Is a very ITALIAN EXPERIENCE.

Amazing restaurant, definitely the best place in the neighbourhood! Took the grilled seafood and stuffed pasta shells with seafood and both were delicious. House white wine was also really good. The owner was very nice, really good service and the tiramisu was great. Would absolutely recommend!

Very flavourful seafood risotto and mixed grill. Chill atmosphere and opens till late, great spot for dinner after alighting from the ferry as it’s just a short walk from the Porta di Massa.

A perfect remedy after a 22 kilo walk( in a day) Umami of the stuffed seafood shells and the octopus stew stole my tastebuds entirely, while the confit artichoke and spinach added some refreshments for this dinner (visited here on Mar 3rd, 2024)

True to other reviews, this genuine and traditional Italian restaurant serves the freshest and best seafood dishes and pastas. Highly recommended to try the grilled sea bass and another seafood platter to go with. Very attentive boss will make sure your food is up to standard and all your needs taken care of.

Really fantastic food and super friendly service! Do get the grilled seafood, its done with some good olive oil, salt and lemon + house white wine is *chef’s kiss*.

Also the owner is a sweetheart!

Antonio himself welcomed us to the table, his son was so professional and friendly paying attention to all details… we tried mixed grilled fish and grilled sea bass.. all was perfect and amazing. One of the best place in the city…

absolutely delicious food and very kind personnel! we had the caprese salad, fried calamari and prawns for lunch, as well as espresso and tiramisu for dessert — everything was stunning.

This is an absolute gem of a place, with amazing owners working here. Antonio and his son Andrea are some of the friendliest people you can meet, and the food from their kitchen is absolutely fantastic. In fact, we made it a point to come back for lunch one more time, and forgo the Naples pizza experience. Vegetable soup (Zuppa di verdure) was on point, and both our pasta dishes were terrific. If you're nearby, you absolutely cannot go wrong coming here. Don't expect to eat in a hurry though, it's a family joint, so they likely won't be able to expedite your meal unless there's no crowd.

Local People eat here. Good sign! Quantity and Quality is like Heaven. Wow.

The food is perfect and Don Antonio is a great man. I'm glad I've found this restaurant.

This was probably our best meal in Italy because of consistently good food and excellent service. We felt like family dining in the restaurant owned by Antonio. He and his son were warm, welcoming and 100% Italian in honesty. Bread is served only with excellent olive oil, no balsamic nonsense. The grilled sea bass was very fresh and perfectly cooked - highly recommend. Lasagna was flavourful and substantial, perfumed with fresh basil. Spaghetti vongole was very fragrant and fresh. The wild strawberry tart was a delight - desserts may differ day on day. Lovely ambience too

Very tasty local food, great service and wonderful atmosphere 😀

The service was excellent. it was the best dinner in naples. We tried the home made white wine and it tasted very good. We ate octopus salad, ham- cheese-salami plate, fried calamari, pasta with tomato sauce and gnocchi. We sat at the late hour without a reservation and we were very pleased. I recommend making a reservation because the place was crowded.

We spent a week in Italy and ate some really good food, but our dinner at Antonio's was absolutely THE BEST! Fresh and delicious, the mixed vegetable plate was incredible and we've never tasted anything like the grilled smoked mozzarella and ham. Everything else - the pasta, seafood, bread, salad - was divine, and super reasonably priced. We loved our outdoor table where we could take in the perfect weather and all the sights and sounds of the busy nearby streets. If we ever find ourselves in Naples again, a stop here will be a must!

Antonio's restaurant is a lovely place near the port. He and his son run the restaurant with warmth and pride. Believe him when he says that everything on the menu is good. My personal favorites are the grilled and marinated seafood dishes, as well as his pasta pomodoro and spaghetti vongole. The pistachio and ricotta cheesecake is a great dessert.

The service is top, fish fresh, excelent prices, and deserts also good

I looked for a good lasagne and here I found it. The staff was extra kind and friendly, food was great and the place authentic.
It was little bit expensive, but close to the bay it 8s understandable.

This was my favorite restaurant in Naples - everything was delicious, and Antonio was so nice and welcoming! Can’t wait to go back.
