A majestic example of fascist's era architecture. With a good and sunny weather the white stone that is made of will shine and highlight its predominant megalomaniac feeling.

It's a must visit if you are around Roma EUR zone.

I had the opportunity to visit this beautiful building. It's Amazing. The Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana, sometimes also called della Civiltà del Lavoro, is a monumental building located in Rome in the modern EUR district. Conceived since 1936 and designed in 1937, its construction began in July 1938. The Palace was inaugurated on November 30, 1940, despite being unfinished. The building was designed to be the Museo della Civiltà Italiana at the 1942 Universal Exposition, demonstrating the superiority of Italian architecture.

It was part of Mussolini’s master plan, a beautiful building you can see for miles away.

It’s curved window frames create this interesting sunken building that sits inside, the statues on guard outside.

I have visited this building twice, in 2018 it was very much the headquarters for fashion brand Fendi but now in 2022 all the branding is gone.

You can’t go inside, but the spectacle of the outside really is enough on its own.

Perfect place for stylish, modern and unconvetional wedding photos! Since its located little off the city centre, there are no crowds of people to dodge during the session. The minimalism and clean architecture is perfect for different compositions and its 360 degrees view is great for finding the perfect light. Don't forget to shoot on the great stairs! Best to come at sunset. More photos on ig @t.lzrk

Beautiful building! There was a small yet very well arranged exposition in the groundfloor. I wish I could have visited the upper floors. The view from the groundfloor was already amazing!

The Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana was designed in 1938 and is one of the pre-eminent examples of Italian Rationalism and fascist architecture.
The design draws inspiration from the Colosseum with its rows of arches, and the building is nicknamed the Square Colosseum.
The building was designed to be the Museum of Italian Civilization at the 1942 World Fair, as a showcase for Mussolini's regime. It is now the headquarters of fashion company Fendi.

Such a beautiful building but what a shame that it’s surrounded by the metal fences and concrete. There is no chance to get a closer look at this building

FENDI HQ
Impressive building and eloquent for the pre WW2 architectural sentiments.
No free entry. No entry at all 🤣.
No food. Not good for kids. Not good for a quick bite. Not good for vegetarians. Does not accept reservations. Can't buy tickets in advance. Was not crowded when visited.

Such a wonderful building. Too bad I could only look from distance behind the fence.

Italian fascist architecture is up there as one of the most interesting styles, it tries to incorporate Roman features with a mix of the Art Deco and brutalist styles...well that's my take on it.

This place is also known as "the squared colosseum" since its squared and enormous window recall the ones of the Colosseum.
The structure was built under the Mussolini's gouvernement to celebrate the power and the greatness of Rome and its inhabitants.
The rooms on the inside are rented to some association and agency like Fendi. Currently it's Fendi's headquarter.

Came here with a friend it was nice to see your favorite actress, and the actual clothes that they wore on set. Also, every weekend they had a movie screening, but the movies were sub titled in Italian. Overall great experience, and I will definitely go back when they have a new exhibition.
