I didn’t know what to expect from this museum but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I didn’t know anything about the mafia or Sicilian history, and found this to be quite informative. Each room has a bit of information and many photographs of the mafia or victims from particular moments in history. There is a good video documentary about Giuliano in one of the rooms as well. There are some English translations on the walls, as well as pictures of various newspaper articles from history around the world reporting on these events in different languages. The photos on the walls also speak for themselves even if you are not keen to do some reading. Free entry but donations are appreciated. Well worth a visit!

This exhibition gives an excellent insight into the world of mafia in Silicy. It operates on a free and voluntary donation basis. It was very interesting and worth visiting to learn more about the mafia.

Impressed! Free museum, super interesting history of the island. If you go, do the free media exhibit (scheduled at noon, 3 and 4). I found it very powerful.

Thank you for your work! I believe everyone should visit this place to educate yourself about mafia in Palermo. It’s not something we should romanticise. Thank you again!

Great "project" worth supporting. There are plenty of pictures. Some explanation in English. A film with English subtitle.
Since it's a memorial and not a museum, I find it sufficient. It gives some insights and impulses to read more. It doesn't cost entrance but it is possible to buy books or leave a few coins at the entrance to support the work everyone is doing.

Amazing! There is a special event 3 times a day where they will show you the mafia story, the mafiosos and the victims. Great memorial. No Mafia.

Everyone who visits Palermo should try to make time to visit this memorial. Moving and unforgettable, I found it more interesting than any historical or art museum in the city.

A small museum that doesn’t require tickets. They select the best and most representative news and photos to display. Sensational by nature. The most impressive of all is the organization of the exhibition. They really tell you both sides of stories, enlightening perspectives without pre-existing opinions.

Excellent memorial where one learns about how the mafia developed and the context in which it came into existence.

You are told where to start from and there are numbers, so the lower reviews about the information layout probably come from people who haven't paid attention to the instructions and people who don't know how to piece together information.

A great free exhibit, they did not push donations at all either. The layout was confusing, however, and the English translations were very irregular, missing in some places and not complete in others.

I'm not an italian and thanks to this exhibition I've got a lot more information about mafia, sicilian history and others. It is important to remember what has happened, and do not forget it. Also short video about gang Giuliano was well made.

A museum dedicated to the history of the mafia in Sicily, particularly western Sicily. Thought provoking and informative. The museum is free although donations are appreciated to assist in operating costs.

Was quite interesting, stuff can be more professional. But maybe then it would not be free entrance.
We have also learnt a lot, and recommend everybody to have a quick visit

A very unique and interesting museum documenting the impact of the Mafia on Sicily. Free entry, however a donation is expected upon exiting so please do have some coins ready to donate.

Highly recommend to visit this place. It is for free and funded by donations. The exhibition is super informative and gives the historical context behind the emergence of the mafia. Additionally one can learn about personal stories of individual policemen and judges who got assassinated.

A must visit in Palermo. This museum alone shows how far Sicily has come from those violent days, and how much it still needs to progress. May all those innocent victims find peace and justice one day.

It was so good I went twice. Unlike most museums I think I read every single bit of information. Fascinating ! Staff were all young and very helpful.
