Michael, the owner, was awesome - friendly and proud Sicilian, with great local knowledge of food and wine. Chatted for a while, bought some olive oil and wine, and finished by sharing some limoncello. Unexpected but lovely stop on our wander through town.

On 4/4/14 a group of friends and I stumbled upon this shop along the narrow streets of Palermo - not entirely knowing where we were (we were on a uni study trip), we were on a mission to buy a group gift for our tour guide.

What grabbed our attention, was firstly, the selection of alcohol near the front door (we wanted to buy a bottle of red wine) and more importantly, it was a pizzo free shop - wicked! Our tour guide was from the adiopizzo travel organisation - therefore, the shop was perfect, not only did it sell: wines, Sicilian snacks, coffee/tea, chocolate and sugar/gluten free products; it was also in line with our Tour guide's beliefs and principles.

The shop owner was wonderful, he could speak great English and offered great advice on selecting wine. For a small and narrow shop, my friends and I basically took over the shop browsing for all kinds of souvenir and gifts for our tour guide/relatives. The shop owner (I assume he is) was fairly young and had a cap on, was brilliant; he kindly offered us a free wicker basket to fill our goodies for the gift, and double bagged our bottles of wine!

In terms of the price, it wasn't too dear, you are looking at around 2-5 euros on confectionery - depending on the size of the item. Bottles of red wine began at around 5 euros - which wasn't too bad considering we are all Uni students.

Last but not least, we had to grab a group photo with him - as he made our gift shopping much more easier and convenient! The shop is well worth the visit, if you are looking to buy souvenirs, or just to pop in and have a browse.

The pizzofree part is great, and the service and stock are very good as well.

Tappa consigliatissima per comprare prodotti locali (anche in formato travel), da cioccolato al pistacchio, dai sughi per la pasta al vino.

Très chouette petite boutique avec plein de produits locaux. Le patron parle parfaitement français, très amical et commercant, et vous conseille en fonction de vos goûts, sans vouloir vous vendre le truc le plus cher.

Une petite boutique de souvenir avec de nombreuses spécialités siciliennes en plein cœur de Palerme.
Il y a énormément de choix avec de très bon produits.
Vous y trouverez aussi des produits liquides respectant les règles de transport en avion (en cabine).
La dame qui nous a accueilli et conseillé était adorable.
La boutique est aussi climatisée.

Très bon petit magasin de produits locaux (boissons, vins, sauces). Le commis parle italien, anglais et français. Il m'a donné de bons conseils et m'a guidé dans mon choix de cadeau.

prodotti squisiti. non sono entrato perché era un negozio pizzofree ma perché i prodotti venduti rappresentano il meglio che la Sicilia ha da offrire.
