Mastunicola

Was there by myself and they were busy but found a great spot for me out the front. After my starters I decided the day had taken its tole on me and asked if I can get the pizza to take away. They were really accommodating and when I got home, the pizza was still just as delicious as it would have been there!

The staff was very pleasant and friendly. They gladly spoke english with us since we are tourists. Since the place was very busy we thought we would wait a while to get our food, but actually it came rather quickly, especially having in mind that it was gluten free. Great variety of pizzas, would recommend for everyone to try

We were recommended Mastunicola by a staff member at our hotel and we were not disappointed.

The service was friendly, fast and professional. Our pizzas, the Reginella and Filomena were delicious and we did not wait long.

The restaurant is busy, so it’s probably a good idea to book ahead. We didn’t and were lucky, but we got one of the last tables on a Friday night.

It’s more expensive but the quality and atmosphere is definitely elevated. Excellent pizza. If you haven’t tried “fried pizza” yet this is the place to get it! Napoli style in Sicily

The best pizza we had during our holiday in Sicily!
Due to the long fermentation time of the dough, it was exceptionally easy to digest and didn't cause any feeling of fullness. My boyfriend had the pizza „Donna Regina“ and was tempted to eat a second one 😄.
A special highlight was the freshly shaved truffle added to my pizza „O solo mio“ right at the table, giving the dish an exquisite touch.
Simply super delicious! Definitely a must when visiting Palermo.

It was the best pizza i ever had. I am a pizza maker, and i was glad my host referred it to us. It was the first restaurant we went to in italy. It made our trip start at a high level.

We found the place on a guide for great food recommended by locals in Palermo and it exceeded expectations. Multiple places rated much better than Mastunicola were disappointing to say the least.
The pizzas here are excellent. We tried two different pizzas on two consecutive nights and they were all excellent. I would suggest getting any pizza that has ingredients you'd like on a pizza and it will be great.
We were served on both nights by Mass/Massimiliano who was super sweet and a lovely person to us right through the night, despite being a full and busy shift.
We'll definitely recommend the place to all friends who visit Palermo.

Ate here our last night in Palermo and after some difficult experiences with a pram and 3 month old we felt very welcomed here without it really being a big deal. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the food was fantastic. Who knew that you could deep fry burrata. The pizzas flavour combinations were different to what what you’d usually see and really nice. Would definitely return.

Gluten free here is amazing. It’s also safe. Starters, pizzas and dessert! Been here every year for 3 years during the summer and forgot to leave a review. Service is also great too.

Came here for their gluten free pizza and I wasn’t dissapointed! The dough was really soft and fluffy. My BF Had the regular pizza and was very happy with it also. Don’t forget to make a reservation.

Very delicious Pizza and Antipasti! We had to wait very long to order the Pizza after the Antipasti but apart from that everything was amazing, the staff was friendly and the food and Sicilian Spritz very good, we can absolutely recommend it! The Pizza with truffle and the fried Pizza were amazing, such as the fried Burrata and Bruschetta.

This was a very nice experience! The food is delicious and for a very good price. For sure I will come here another time :)

I really liked the chic ambiance and the professional service.
It was really hard to chose what to order, because all Pizzas sound delicious and very tempting.
We had a Burrata Croccante as a starter (fantastic!) and then shared 2 pizzas.
Both were top notch, to die for!
As we were already pretty full after having a starter and the pizza, the friendly waiter convinced us that we had to try the Mousse au chocolat for dessert.
And what can I say - one of the best Mousse au chocolats I’ve ever had! It was a perfect combination of chocolate, fruit and this nutty cookie on the bottom.
I was in chocolate heaven!
Definitely check out Mastunicola if you’re a Foodie like me.

Heads up: they don’t open before 7.30pm, even though the website says an earlier time. Also I recommend making a reservation, especially on weekends.

Great pizza. No wonder there's a line in the evening. We had an early dinner so got lucky.

So much love, such great food. A local recommended this as the best pizza in Palermo and this New Yorker was not disappointed. Fresh, beautiful ingredients assembled creatively were served with love and caring. Our waitress, Simona, was excellent, as were all the staff with whom we had contact. At the end of the evening, they even helped us get a taxi on a rainy Friday night! Unbelievable! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Came here for dinner after a recommendation from our hotel concierge. Pizza was fantastic. The Dough was perfect, great flavour and chew to it. Toppings & sauce were fresh and full of flavour. The service definitely needs some work. Did not come across as very friendly/accomodating felt like a chore for our server.

Dough is soft and well baked. Ingredients tasted fresh and with high quality.

Service was friendly and the atmosphere was calm and a bit sophisticated.

Clean and good looking restaurant. Glutenfree pizza was one of the best I've ever had. They also have some more special pizza's which is nice if you want to try something new. Staff was a little bit pushy, but for the rest they were really kind and professional.

The pizza here is absolutely amazing. I’ve heard from a local that here I can find the best pizza in Palermo and it is indeed reeeally really good.
I also tried the fried burrata for the first time and I loved it. I arrived at around 7:50pm and nobody was inside and by 8:15 it was packed.
