Medici Villa of Lilliano Wine Estate

This place was a wonderful experience. Came for a wedding a week ago and it’s absolutely beautiful. The staff is exceptional. Shout out to Catia (Katya), our maid and breakfast preparer. She was super sweet and went above and beyond to make our stay welcome. Can’t remember the front desk staff but they were also top notch. They nailed it. Rooms are really nice as well!

We had a lovely wine tasting and tour with Monica! The estate is gorgeous, and the wine was fantastic. This is a great spot if you are staying in Florence — a taxi each way was about 35 euro, and well worth the short drive!

We had a wonderful time doing the cellar tour with Monica. She was incredibly knowledgable about the wine and process of making it. The tasting and paired foods were wonderful. This is about a 30 minute tax ride from the city center, but was very easy to get to by taxi. Would recommend this to anyone visiting Florence hoping for an authentic experience.

Lovely wine state with accomodation, the location is breathtaking, the rooms are super nice, the staff ii more than helpful, really attentive. Many thanks to Monica, Paula, Camilla, Giovanni, Alessandro and Juan Carlos, we had an unforgettable experience. We had the picnic in the private backyard which we understand is not normally open to the public; such a unique experience.

One of the best parts of my visit to Florence. Beautiful estate with incredible wines and attentive staff. We did a private wine tasting and learned so much from Alessandro! Ordered many wines to home that we will cherish from our visit. Thank you thank you for this wonderful experience. I hope to visit again one day.

Took the tour and cooking class with Alessandro. The grounds were beautiful and the guide did a fantastic job explaining everything about the winery as well as leading the cooking class. Highly recommend!

I attended my brother-in-law’s wedding at this gorgeous Villa and had the pleasure of staying here for several days. The staff, villa, rooms, and exterior grounds were all exceptional. The wedding ceremony and reception were breath taking. I wanted to give a heartfelt shout out to Catia. She was truly outstanding. Walking downstairs in the morning to a beautiful breakfast and being greeted by Catia was a breath of fresh air. She made me feel so welcomed. She also makes some of the best cappuccino’s! Grazie Mille!

We booked a wine tour and had a blast! Giovanni was super knowledgeable and kind. The appetizers with the wines were also delicious. Highly recommend!

Just wonderful. The stay was fantastic (the photos don’t do the villa justice). The staff were friendly and accommodating and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The light lunch and wine tasting was just a delight and Alessandro did a wonderful job giving us a tour and educating us on the wines (which he clearly loves, and with good reason). Very much looking forward to return visits.

I came across Villa Medicea during my search for an Italian destination wedding. I loved how all my guests (less than 50) could stay at the villa instead of some hotel nearby. In addition, the ceremony and reception area looked breathtaking, the Italian villa of my dreams, and it truly was. Our guests were blown away by how magical it was, especially being so close to Florence. We were on top of a hill and had the best sunsets and views. All their vendors they work with are amazing and everything went so smoothly. Thank you Villa Medicea for making it an amazing experience, can’t wait to take our kids once day.

The wine tour with lunch is a must-do on any trip to Florence/Tuscany. This wine estate is the perfect escape from the crowded streets of Florence and is an easy taxi ride from the city center. The tour was extremely interesting and educational and the entire estate is beautiful. Giovanni, our guide was passionate and knowledgeable. All of the wine was delicious, as were the many courses of the meal and the olive oil. We just wish we had more room in our suitcases to bring home more wine and olive oil.

My husband and I purchased the wine tasting/tour with a light lunch. It’s a short drive from Florence where we stayed for the night.
The tour and experience was just wonderful. Our guide was so warm and passionate about his work and life in this area. He is extremely knowledgeable and you can tell that he loves to share his passion. The villa is beautiful in itself and set in the most gorgeous Tuscan landscape. We had an amazing time and enjoyed the tasting and the light lunch that contained of so many delicious foods including a to die for lasagna and cake with grapes in for dessert. We bought a few bottles of the wine as well and we will order more in the future.

Located just outside of Florence, this wonderful vineyard is the perfect location for weddings. The estate is beautiful, the rooms stylish, the food amazing, and wine delicious.

The wedding we attended was beautifully decorated and the estate was the perfect atmosphere for the occasion. Cannot speak more highly of this place and the days we spent there were unforgettable.

This winery estate is absolutely amazing. We stayed in a little cottage on the property (The Diletta). Our view was beautiful as you can see in the photos. We also did a dinner with wine and tour on the property. The staff is all so amazing (Camila was our favorite)! This place has so much great history behind it and is also a popular wedding venue.

We spent 5 nights in an elegant first floor room, sharing a generous and comfortable guest lounge, kitchen, breakfast and courtyard dining areas downstairs with a small number of other guests staying in the same palazzo. So we had the opportunity to enjoy complete privacy in our suite as well as convivial company in the shared spaces. Set high in the tranquil Chianti countryside with gorgeous rural views, this property is perfectly positioned for access to Florence and the autostrade north or south. Staff were delightful, extremely kind, nothing was too much trouble and we were made to feel completely at home.

The most amazing stay! Staff was so friendly and accommodating and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Location is beautiful and still very accessible without a car due to its close proximity to Florence. Our tour guide during our “winemaker for a day” tour was so knowledgeable and the wine was wonderful. I love me everything about this place and can’t wait to come back!

Had an amazing experience here with my sisters. we were on a trip together and were panicking because our bus didn’t stop to get us and we thought we’d miss our tour. Giovanni was so kind to let us know he would wait as long as he could but that there would be a wedding happening at the Villa that evening so we couldn’t be too late.

Luckily we weren’t but as soon as we got there, Giovanni introduced himself as our guide right away. offered us water. set our expectations for the plan of the tour and timing and then not only did he deliver on all of it, he gave the best wine tasting!

He was very welcoming and didn’t present the information he knew in a condescending way- he made it SO approachable and enjoyable and it got us all talking about what we were experiencing or tasting, rattler, the whole time.

Additionally, we asked if he would let us try a little of an extra wine and he was incredibly accommodating. the villa is absolutely gorgeous and we can’t wait to go back and request to be on Giovanni’s tour!!!!

Had the most amazing stay and experience at Medici Villa. The rooms were all stunning with so much space, gorgeous facilities and was all so clean. Staff come in daily to clean and also to cook you breakfast. We did one of the wine tasting experiences which was one of the best wine tastings I’ve done - they were so generous with the wine and the “light bites” advertised including a large helping of lasagne ! The staff were so so friendly and went above and beyond to give us a nice stay. On one evening when the taxis we ordered didn’t show after reception closed the front desk worked over hours to make sure we got transportation into town, furthermore when one of our group left an expensive necklace in the room after the trip they made sure it was posted to us and kept us updated the whole time. Can’t recommend this place enough!

We booked a trip to Italy in February of this year. Since it was slow season, we did not stay at the winery. We were able to book a private tour with Monica. We were so impressed by the beauty of the grounds, her knowledge and history! We had an amazing 4 course meal and wine pairing by a warm and inviting fireplace. We enjoyed every minute of this experience. We took some wine and olive oil home with us!
