Absolutely recommended! I am writing this while finishing my dessert - and I can’t get enough. Every course was just special providing a whole new taste experience. Amazing!

Best Restaurant we could find in Siena.If you are willing to pay a bit more than average, you will get superior class of food and vine there. And: they have vegan offers too! We had a great 3 course menu there and payed about 120€ inclusive tip for 2 persons. Everything was perfect. They really deserve 5 stars.

The restaurant is very close to the center of Siena.
Location is very nice and the staff of the restaurant is very nice and welcoming.

All the dishes were well prepared, with great attention to details and the balance of flavors.

At the end of the dinner I was really satisfied, excellent quality and quantity of food, good wine and all of that for a reasonable price.

If you are in Siena I strongly suggest you to go there and reserve your table for a nice lunch or dinner.

We had the best evening in our whole Tuscany trip. David the waiter was super Sympathic and really into his job. He explained us every dish and showed us their new wine cellar. If you need a 5*** location in Siena, Gallo Nero is a must have. We will definitely come back.

Elegant dining room with great food and welcoming staff.
The waiters were very helpful with menu selection and recommended a dairy free change. We had a great chat with the sommelier and we’re recommended a glass of a great bottle they had just opened.
Nice atmosphere and we were even invited to tour their new wine cellar.
Polpo cotto due volte was lovely and crispy. Pancetta di maialino was fantastic!
Recommended for a romantic lunch.

Best meal by far during our Tuscany trip! We tried egg with pecorino, ravioli with beef tail, lamb and a great rosso di montalcino. Complimentary prosecco and starter was a nice touch. Service was nice and attentive. Great location and nice atmosphere. Would definitely recommend. 10/10

We found this ristorante while walking through Siena and were drawn in by the decor. Thankfully we were able to get a dinner reservation (though I’d recommend calling earlier in advance). The meal was very upscale, with each dish presented elegantly. My boyfriend has the pigeon which was absolutely amazing, though I did enjoy my grilled octopus too. The best part was the service - they were very attentive yet discreet. The setting is also beautiful, as the entire room is a brick cellar. The ladies’ room also had a super cool faucet (strange detail but it made a lasting impression!). Highly recommend for those visiting Siena.

Amazing ! We were at the top floor.
The brisket with pigeon was fantastic! The gianduia spicy desert was something totally different and worth trying. My husband had the lamb with herbs, we absolutely loved it.
The sommelier suggested a Chianti that totally matched the food.

All I can say is Wow... The food was AMAZING the four of us finished all of our plate. Seriously a good restaurant for a good price! (& if you like white wine take this one it's amazing)

Amazing setting in the vaulted basement, we had the most delicious food and the staff were very attentive. We celebrated my wife’s 50th birthday and couldn’t fault one thing. Well priced for the quality of the dishes we tasted and we’ll definitely be back next time we visit Siena.

Absolute recommendation!
The food was really delicious and the service must be emphasized! All waiters were very courteous and friendly. For the perfect finish we got a tour of the wine cellar from David - very worth seeing! All in all a wonderful, delicious evening!

Gallo Nero is yet another great restaurant in Siena. The menu is varied, and clearly marked which options may be prepared gluten free (I'm a celiac). My wife and I shared a cheese platter, a GF version of pici with wild boar ragu (using GF tagliatelle instead of the pici), a venison main, and dark chocolate mousse. All dishes were fantastic. The service was good, great attitude from everyone despite how crazy busy it was (we ate on Palio night). Lastly, the atmosphere in dining room, with the decor and exposed brick is great. Would definitely go back.

I highly recommend this restaurant in Sienna. Very delicious food and one of the kindest, courteous and caring waiter, namely David, I have met. We were a group of 10 and everyone received the food at the same time with an individual introduction where the ingredients are coming from. After the dessert David showed us the wine cellar, which was an absolute highlight. Thanks a lot to the restaurant for this great evening!
