Aktiv Hotel Schönwald

We stayed at Aktif Hotel Schoenwald from 30/12/22 to 6/1/23.

We were a party of 12 and we can not recommend this hotel highly enough. Thomas and his family run an amazing hotel - it is spotlessly clean, really welcoming and the food it out of this world. I would definitely recommend going half board as the evening meals are faultless.

The staff are so friendly, and can not do enough for you to make sure you enjoy your stay. Thomas was also really helpful answering some questions for me via email after we booked which included organising a beautiful cake for my husbands birthday.

The rooms were spacious, quiet, and well appointed and were cleaned daily.
There is a bar which is reasonably priced and a sauna which was the perfect end to a busy day on the slopes.
The cable car up into the main ski area was about 2km away and there is a free shuttle service that goes every 30 minutes.
The views from the front of the hotel are beautiful - all in all I would not hesitate if you are thinking of booking here. Feels much higher than it’s classified 3 star to me, especially considering the high quality food that is served.

Because of the fantastic food, plentiful breakfasts, five-course dinners, so tasty, cooked with love.
Because of the spotless room, they are well maintained.
Because of the care we received.
Because of the location, quiet, with fantastic views.
I've been in many hotels; this one without any doubts belongs to places I will return with feeling like home.

That was my typical day at the Schönwald hotel :
1-you wake up in the morning breathing an amazing air, looking at the latemar mountains just in front of you, going for a walk in the wood around the hotel (there are many great paths)
2- you go back to the hotel having an amazing breakfast
3- you go to do your activities during the day (hiking, biking etc)
4- you go back to the hotel during the afternoon drinking a beer or whatever, waiting for dinner, wich is amazing.
5- you go out for a walk to the near nova levante(which is a really quiet town, if you want crowd places you have to go elsewhere like Canazei or Vigo di Fassa by car) or you just stay outside the hotel reading, drinking or playing some game.

The owners are really kind and they always try to help you out with any kind of information. You see them work hard at any hour of the day. Food is amazing. We asked for a cake to celebrate my little nephew birthday and it was amazing too.
I normally don't write any kind of review whether I have been good or bad but in this case I have seen people who, in addition to do their job, put passion and heart into it and it is difficult to find people like this today.
I think there's is a formula that makes a holyday great and I think they have it.

Food is amazing, personnel is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are very comfortable and modern. Only minor downside: wifi is being disabled during the night.

Perfect hotel, excellent location, great service, price - quality just right, don't forget to book Halbpension (breakfast and dinner).

Exzellentes Hotel mit herzlichem Service und vorzüglichem Essen

Wir hatten kürzlich das Vergnügen, einen Aufenthalt im Hotel Schönwald zu genießen und wir möchten gerne unsere Erfahrungen teilen. Von Anfang an waren wir von der herzlichen und persönlichen Betreuung des Familiengeführten Hotels beeindruckt. Das komplette Hotelpersonal war äußerst freundlich und zuvorkommend, was meine Reise noch angenehmer gestaltete.

Das Highlight meines Aufenthalts war zweifellos das Essen. Jeden Tag wurden wir mit kulinarischen Köstlichkeiten verwöhnt, die auf den Punkt zubereitet waren. Die Vielfalt und Qualität der Speisen waren beeindruckend. Ein großes Lob an das Küchenteam!

Neben dem vorzüglichen Essen fiel uns auch die makellose Sauberkeit des Hotels ins Auge. Die Einrichtung wirkte komplett neu und verlieh dem gesamten Ambiente eine moderne und ansprechende Note. Die gepflegten Räumlichkeiten trugen definitiv dazu bei, dass wir uns sehr wohl fühlten.

Insgesamt könne wir das Hotel Schönwald uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. Die Kombination aus herzlichem Service, vorzüglichem Essen und einer modernen, sauberen Umgebung machte meinen Aufenthalt zu einem unvergesslichen Erlebnis.

Ich war mit einem Kumpel zu Besuch in diesem tollen Hotel. Für eine Woche Motorradfahren in den Dolomiten war uns besonders gutes Essen, etwas Ruhe und sichere Abstellmöglichkeiten für die Motorräder wichtig. Wir wurden nicht enttäuscht. Im Gegenteil. Die Betreiber sind sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Die Motorräder standen in der sicheren Garage. Das Zimmer war außergewöhnlich groß und schön eingerichtet (ohne zu kitschig zu sein). Alles sauber und gepflegt. Und das Essen erst... Wahnsinn. Es war kein Luxus-X-Gänge-Menü. Aber die Qualität als Inklusivleistung in der Halbpension mit Salat, Vorspeise, Hauptspeise und Nachtisch war fantastisch und deutlich mehr wie wir erwartet haben. Das Hotel hat einen wirklich sehr guten Koch und die Menüs sind klug gewählt. Auch Sonderwünsche werden, nach Möglichkeit, erfüllt... (Stichwort: Schnitzel...) Alles in allem ein sehr gutes Hotel, mit sehr freundlichen Betreibern die sehr hilfsbereit sind. Immer wieder gerne und für alle Interessierten eine absolute Empfehlung.

Ein sehr gut geführtes Hotel. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Sehr sauber und ordentlich. Jeden Abend ein drei Gänge Menü auf dem höchsten Niveau, sehr gute Küche.Unsere Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich und für jede Frage offen. Sehr nette Bedienung. Dieses Haus ist empfehlenswert. Man kann sich nur bedanken für die schöne Zeit!!

Anche se non in centro, sicuramente la vista ripaga la posizione.
Camere ben arredate, pulite ed accoglienti.
Proprietari gentili e sempre disponibili a tutte le richieste.
Ma la vera sorpresa è stata la cucina.... OTTIMA
Buffet di verdure e piatti belli, ma soprattutto buoni, leggeri con il giusto condimento, senza dare pesantezza.
Colazione sempre con molta scelta e tutta di qualità.

Tolles Hotel in einer schöner Lage. Mit dem Auto und dem Bus hat man vielfältige Möglichkeiten in kurzer Zeit die schönsten Ausgangspunkte für atemberaubende Wanderungen zu erreichen. Der Ort ist fußläufig über einen Panoramaweg erreichbar. Ist jedoch ein Stück zu laufen.
Die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und kompetent.
Das Essen war von hoher Qualität und sehr lecker. Auf Wünsche wurde jederzeit eingegangen.
Unser Rosengartenzimmer war modern, geräumig und gemütlich mit einem schönen Balkon und toller Aussicht.
Alles in Allem - ein Traumurlaub - alles hat gepasst

Complimenti, ottimo hotel pulito e ben arredato. Abbiamo trascorso una vacanza di 4 giorni a Natale e siamo stati veramente bene. Camere grandi e confortevoli, sala da pranzo accogliente con i tavoli ben disposti, parcheggio ampio di fronte la struttura. Hotel a conduzione famigliare, i proprietari sono persone molto disponibili che dedicano grande attenzione all'ospite. Cucina molto valida, piatti sempre deliziosi della tradizione locale ma non solo. Prezzi relativamente contenuti considerando l'alta qualità offerta.

Wir haben unseren Sommerurlaub im Aktivhotel Schönwald verbracht, um von dort Tageswanderungen zu starten. Wanderungen sind problemlos direkt vom Hotel möglich, alternativ kann der Bus mit der Gästekarte kostenlos genutzt werden.
Familie Neulichedl und das gesamte Personal sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Bei Wünschen war man stets offen und bei Fragen zu Wandertouren, Ausflugstipps o.ä. sehr hilfsbereit.
Das Hotel ist insgesamt sehr sauber und gepflegt.
Sehr positiv war zudem das reichhaltige Frühstücksbuffet sowie die fantastische Küche mit üppigem Salatbuffet und leckerem kreativen Menü zum Abend.

Alles in allem dieses Haus garantiert einen wohlfühl Urlaub.
Die kulinarischen Genüsse der Hotel Küche hat Haubenkarakter und belastet die badezimmerwaage. Weiters erwähnenswert : Beratung in Sachen Weine und die gut ausgestattet Weinkarte.

Io e la mia famiglia abbiamo soggiornato in questo albergo il 18 19 di agosto, i titolari molto cordiali e gentili ci hanno fatto sentire a casa. La sera abbiamo cenato nel ristorante dell'albergo con piatti tipici molto curati e prelibati. La camera comoda e pulita, la mattina colazione abbondante e prodotti genuini e freschi ho assaggiato per la prima volta il latte al fieno. Sicuramente la consiglio come struttura

Sono stato 4 giorni con la mia famiglia .Capitato per caso e devo dire che e' stata una piacevole sorpresa.Hotel a conduzione familiare,curato , molto pulito, recentissima ristrutturazione.
Abbiamo pernottato in un ampia e confortevole camera.
Ottima colazione con un ricco buffet,la cena molto buona e ricercata con un menu' diverso tutte le sere con piatti tipici del territorio.
I proprietari e il loro staff sono stati davvero disponibili e simpatici.
Ottimo rapporto qualità /prezzo.Lo consiglio vivamente.
Sicuramente ci ritorneremo.

Abbiamo soggiornato per due settimane. Ci siamo trovati molto bene. Camera spaziosa e pulita. Panorama stupendo. Buona colazione e cena. Dolci eccezionali!!! La proprietaria un'ottima padrona di casa!

Posizione silenziosissima perché appena fuori dal centro di Nova Levante e interessante punto di partenza per diverse camminate: ci sono vari sentieri anche soltanto per arrivare in paese.
Possibilità di raggiungere il centro del paese con la navetta.
Ottimo servizio bus per muoversi senz'auto.

Sehr nette Gastgeber, die auch mal flexibel sind. Tolles und leckeres Abendessen in mehreren Gängen.
Super Ausgangspunkt für Motorradtouren in Südtirol.

Zimmer war auch schön groß, der Blick vom Balkon auf die Heimatberge war ebenfalls fantastisch.
Fernseher könnte etwas größer sein. ;)

Struttura molto buona, abbiamo soggiornato per un lungo week end a gennaio , ci siamo trovati molto bene sia per la cordialità dei proprietari e per l'ottimo cibo preparato. Camera suite splendida e molto spaziosa. Pulizia ottima. Hotel tranquillo al limite del paese ma collegato alla partenza della cabinovia da un servizio molto efficiente di skibus. Grazie ancora per l'ospitalità!
