Limonaia del Castèl

Beautiful place to go for a visit. Incredible views over the lake and fascinating history all readable in Italian, German and English on the walls of the center building. Lots of interesting citrus fruit varieties to be seen. I bet it smells amazing when everything is blossoming. It's €2 per person, which is well worth it.

Amazing - must-do. Free in November, 2 Euro normally, worth it. The history of "Limonaie" the traditional Lemon Houses to grow all king of citrus fruits on the Lake of Garda. These construction are shaping the landscape of the city, Limone sul Garda. The local municipality bought back this specific Lemon House to convert this into a meseum and preserve traditions and cultures of the past. Now, the nicely restored terraces hosts and boast with all kind of fruit: lemons, oranges, cedars, mandarin, bergamotto with a mix of smess quite unique. Part of the building are now being worked to host a small history on how these houses were managed: you can find ancient pictures, tools and many panels written in 4 differen languages (IT, EN,FR, DE). The best of all this, is that, after wandering trough garden and museum, you still have one of the nicest viewpoint on the city. This is NO PROFIT: the local municipality just gives fruit to fundations and income of the entrance (a very minimal fee) is just for the service of keeping this open. In November this was even free. For a small price, you see history, trees, and lake landscape. Surprisingly nice.

I love this place for two reasons. First, this is a nice little museum and garden about citrus trees in Limone. It's well designed and well maintained, and I would like to add that the restrooms are very clean. Second, probably even more important, is that it offers an unbeatable view of the town and the lake. For only €2, it is certainly well worth it.

Nice place for a walk. For a low entrance fee, you can walk through the peaceful place and discover the different types of citrus that are grown here. There is also a wonderful view from the third floor

Was very worth seeing. We really enjoyed walking through the entire exhibit. Was great seeing the live trees with fruit and the spectacular view of Lake Garda below.

There are lemons on the trees and also there are oranges and limes growing too. The view is spectacular and I recommend going there.

This place is an interesting piece of Italian history of growing lemon and many other citrus trees. Definitely worth a visit for admission 2 euros per person.

Very nice view, interesting history and very cheap entrance fee. You visit it in 10/20 min.

Beatufull garden. Very nice place to take photos. You will spend there 30 min max. Entery fee 2€.

An interesting place that you should visit when you are in Limone. It is essential for the history of the town. You can see and read about growing lemons in the area and what they produced from the fruits in the museum. The price is very reasonable and you walk among the trees.

Beautiful place. You may see a lot different species of citrus trees and read about their origin and history. Tickets are for 2 € and that's not much. Beautiful views from all the floors of the Lemon castel.
IMHO it's absolutely necessary to visit Limonaia del Castel when you are in Limone sul Garda.

Really Really beautiful place to visit! Interesting Displays, explaining the history and and a lovely view over Limone. Fee is 2,00 per person.

Well worth it and wasn't aware that they open after 6pm. We still walked by the road signs and to our surprise it was open after 6pm and it was nicely lit up. View from top is amazing even at night. Kids loved it too.

One of the most beautiful places I ever visited in Italy. Twice!

A museum with garden where lemons are growing. Entrance costs 2 €. A lot of different lemons and explanations about it. There is also a building and there are a lot of history of lemons and this region. It is quite fascinating to see all lemons, touch it and get in touch with history of the region. Signs to this place is in all town, so it is easy to find location.

A great place to see, lemons, oranges something not ordinary that you would look for during vacation. To get there, just follow signs!
