Tenuta Canto alla Moraia - Organic Winery

Amazing tasting experience with Sarah and Sylvia. The hospitality here was unmatched, not to mention the wines are delicious and the olive oil is worth the journey alone. We had an extremely generous wine tasting with a ton of meats, cheeses and breads - and all of the wine you could ask for. We ending up ordering and shipping back a few bottles. The property is very charming and Sylvia is happy to give you a tour herself as well as the history of property. We had so much fun here and would absolutely return during our next adventure in Tuscany.

After living here for 1.5 years so far, this winery has probably the best wine I've had in Italy. I stopped in randomly when I had some free time alone and Sarah was nice enough to accommodate me after a small family finished up. Huge pours for tastings, amazing wines, and a fantastic spread of cheese, vegetables, salumi, and fresh bruschetta. As the platters of food came out, I had to remind them that I was the only one at the tasting and could never finish the amount of food they served me! The family sat with me while I tasted 5 or 6 wines and their grappa, such a lovely, fun, and indulgent afternoon. I plan to return in about a month and will restock cases, and then restock again to make sure I have enough for when I move back to the states.

This family owned and run winery is well worth the visit! The Banci family, Sarah, Sylvia and Rudi were such gracious hosts. We were made to feel as if we were members of the family. They shared their family history of how they came to grow grapes and make the delicious wines they produce, which added to the charm of the whole experience. I highly recommend this stop on your visit to Tuscany.

Wow! Loved this winery!! My husband and I used to live in San Francisco and would go to Napa and Sonoma wineries often. Never have we had such a lovely experience. We loved the wine and the family, well I wanted to adopt them as my own. What a wonderful afternoon. You need to make this your next winery visit.

My group of 3 spontaneously found this place, and it has been the highlight of our Tuscan winery tour so far! We were immediately greeted by the vineyard dog, Gregory, who was beyond sweet. Even though we did not have a reservation, Sarah was quick and happy to accommodate. The wine and environment was lovely, and the company was even better. Sarah’s energy was intoxicating, and we also had the chance to meet the winery’s artist, Valerio, and the owners of the property. We quickly felt at home as we learned about the wines, the history of the property, and beautiful combination of art and wine that has made this visit so special. I dream to come back one day soon, and I encourage all others to give this lovely small vineyard a visit :)

My friend and I spent the afternoon at this beautiful vineyard and wonderful family. The wine was fantastic. Sylvia, Rudie and Sarah were incredibly welcoming and knowledgable. Would definitely recommend visiting!

This place is absolutely stunning. A perfect choice for a wedding venue. This remarkable villa has everything you could possibly need to turn your dream wedding into a reality. As a wedding photographer in Tuscany, I've had the opportunity to shoot here, and it was truly amazing.

We had a wonderful and very informative wine tasting here. Delicious organic wines accompanied by the best selection of cheeses, charcuterie and bruschette. We could have stayed all afternoon…. It’s a child friendly place too, which isn’t always the case when you go wine tasting. We will definitely visit again.

From the beautiful grounds, amazing wine, inspirational art, and kind family you cannot go wrong visiting family run winery. You quickly pick up on their values for history, art, family, connection, and the land. We thoroughly enjoyed learning from and connecting with this beautiful family. Their wine is some of the best we have tasted due to their unique process and care. A highlight of our trip. You will leave feeling like you gained friendship with genuinely good people. What a wonderful experience. We stopped for a wine tasting on our way from Perugia to Florence with our two children ages 6 and 9.

Sarah and her family could not have been more welcoming. They seemed to adore having the kids and the kids adored their dog Gregory which made for a very relaxing stop for us parents.

Not only was the experience wonderful, but the wines were fantastic. We started with Bongiorno Principessa, a sparkling rose that is incredibly refreshing, the perfect wine for hot summer days to come. We then tasted the reds, the smooth and easy to drink Sen Serano, the Super Tuscans Ser Alfiero and Moraia. Both have a wonderful complexity with a strong cabernet flavor and mello finish. Moriaia is a bit more complex being aged longer in the barrel and with the addition of Merlot.

All were very good and went wonderfully with the nice spread of meats and cheeses provided.

All and all it was a wonderful afternoon and we are looking forward to enjoying the cases of wines we had shipped with friends and family when we arrive back home.

We had a great time for a wine tasting with my friends and Sarah who is a great host, very friendly, fun and who gives good explanations about the wine and all the process ! The wine and food were very good 😊 we bought bottles of wine after the tasting!

Excellent, superb quality wine from a small family winery. Rudy was an impeccable host. The wine is organic and the winery is in the process of obtaining biodynamic certification. Highly recommended.

We shared a wonderful visit with outposts who told us about their family history while also providing us with three terrific red wines and a buttery and delicious olive oil. They were kind with advice about sights to see in the region and we felt no hard sell at all. And, their pup, Tosca, was a joy! Thank you for the generosity of your time and knowledge.

The family that runs this winery is very friendly and fun. They make good wine and also have tasty olive oil. Mother and son who were there speak very good English. Would definitely recommend this place.

Sono stata alla Tenuta Canto alla Moraia i primi di settembre. Sono venuta a conoscenza di questo posto tramite l'hotel in cui ho soggiornato, perchè volevamo fare una degustazione di vini. La disponibilità e la gentilezza è stata subito dimostrata nel venire in contro alle nostre richieste. La degustazione ha superato ogni mia aspettativa, sotto a tutti i punti di vista: dalla bellezza della tenuta, al vino, al cibo e alla presenza di Sarah, che ha reso l'esperienza perfetta e alla mascotte Gregory, il cagnolone che vi aspetterà al vostro arrivo e vi accompagnerà nella visita.
Il percorso che affronterete con Sarah non sarà solo al livello gustativo, ma mi si è aperto un mondo sui vini e sulla degustazione, in più non posso non spendere solo belle parole su di lei, ci siamo sentiti accolti in maniera meravigliosa, quasi come se fossimo a casa nostra.
Per chiunque volesse provare una esperienza unica consiglio di farla qui, io ritornerò sicuramente.
Noi abbiamo provato i vini, l'olio e la grappa, oltre al cibo, e per quanto c'è piaciuto il tutto, non siamo andati via a mani vuote ma abbiamo comprato vino e grappa, in modo da poter continuare l'esperienza anche a casa.

Ad agosto 2020 serata degustazione vini nel parco della villa in compagnia di Sarah. Serata a dir poco stupenda... Spiegazione dei vini degustati limpida e chiara. Abbiamo portato a casa qualche bottiglia. Ancora oggi sorseggiando le ultime, sorridiamo ricordando l'atmosfera vissuta. Infatti ne abbiamo ordinate ancora.
Piacevolmente colpiti anche dalla storia della famiglia. Ci ritorneremo sicuramente. Troppa pace e serenità in quei luoghi.

Abbiamo appena fatto una degustazione presso la Tenuta Canto alla Moraia. L ambiente familiare, la professionalità di Sarah e gli ottimi vini biologici e biodinamici ci hanno coinvolto in un esperienza unica! La consiglio vivamente.

Un'esperienza indimenticabile... Io e la mia famiglia (dopo esserci innamorati della bottiglia "Moraia" abbiamo deciso di recarci in tenuta per la degustazione "Da Vinci", la più completa. Sara ci ha raccontato la storia della sua famiglia, specialmente dei suoi genitori che dall'amore per queste terre hanno creato un vino eccellente. Abbiamo passato uno splendido pomeriggio accolti come in famiglia, grazie!
