Goldcar (Fox rent a car)

I’m surprised by the low score. I arrived in Pisa and picked the car up with no hassles. Staff friendly and spoke English which was a bonus. Explained I could take out full protection to waiver excess. Found the experience positive. I drop the car off before office closes so hopefully I can just leave key in a deposit box.

I have been using Goldcar for twenty plus years, not just the Pisa branch, from all over Europe. I always book direct using Key n Go. Using a third party comparison website doesn't give you the full Goldcar online experience, which allows you to personalise the package that suits your needs. I have never had any issues and would recommend them to all my friends and family. Thanks again Goldcar for a simple and easy transaction. See you next time.

I see quite a big number of negative reviews, and while I understand that those people indeed had not an experience they had expected, I want to provide a personal feedback as all went smooth for me. Goldcar rates were one of the best among all car rentals, the key'n'go is a great option, picking the car in a couple of minutes, the car itself was very new and good and the deposit was returned quick enough. So even if some issues exist, I do believe the current rating should still be higher

I always say my holiday in Italy starts when I pick up my hire car, and I have to say Goldcar were amazing. 3-4 staff on the desk, no queue (it was 16.00 on a Monday, 37 degrees out side) and they could not have been more helpful.
Of course make sure you have a good credit card for deposit and make sure you pick up your own insurance but we got an ear new car, ideal size wise for a family of four with baggage. Only feedback is that the 1.0 liter petrol engine is not powerful enough for Tuscan hill towns.

I hired a car for my parents and we were incredibly surprised with the excellent service, particularly from Simone at Goldcar Pisa Airport. After reading all the poor reviews we were concerned, but I'm glad to say I would certainly use them again! Thank you.

Contrary to most of the reviews here, I had a great experience with Goldcar Pisa. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Rented an Opel Corsa for three days for reasonable price, no problems with the car, damage was already noted on the checkout form and staff were happy to add anything additional you noticed before leaving the car park. Returned with a full tank of fuel, no issues. Was so worried after reading the reviews I nearly cancelled the booking, but glad I didn’t.

Very pleasant and easy experience. Friendly staff, fast check-out, car as described and very clean. Everything was explained in detail, no surprises - eventhough I rented through a broker ie. Rentalcars. Dropped the car off at Bologna three days later and the experience was equally nice. Would not hesitate to rent from Goldcar again.

Can't complain about the service here at all.
Price: Hired a 4-seater smart car for £24 a day for 6 days using another website. When picking it up, we decided to add on comprehensive insurance for 155 Euros. Unlimited mileage.
Pickup: Process lasted about 15 mins from arriving in the queue to driving away in the car. We arrived a bit earlier than anticipated, but the car was ready.
Car: No complaints. Good condition, clean, full tank.
Check-out: Arrived 30 mins later than anticipated drop-off time and process was competed without any issues. No additional charges incurred. Check-out process lasted about 10 mins.

Would definitely hire from Goldcar again.

We borrowed a car at Pisa airport. After reading all the rewiews here, we were a little bit skeptical, but Goldcar was the cheapest option with the best insurance so we chose this company. Booked everything in advance by their webside and we have decided to use the cheapest option - Key'nGo. We have also paid an extra insurance Mega Relax Cover. When you pay for Mega Relax cover, you dont need credit card, which was a huge benefit for us. Super relax cover was already included in Key'ngo package and extra fee for mega relax cover for 1 week was 20 euro, what is not as much when you can be without any worries then. We got almost new car (4000 km) and everything went smooth. After a week we returned a car and we didnt have to pay any extra fees. Everything was as smooth as it could be. So - we reccomend this company in case you - always pay for a good insurance ( Super of Mega Relax cover) and book online in advance. If you do this, everything should be OK.

Every time when I came to the south of Europe to rent a car, I chose Goldcar. Always I was very happy. Never had any problems.

Have to say that I had no issues with Goldcar at Pisa. I bought the Key and Go package and the process was very easy, staff were very helpful and I had no issues at all.

We read the reviews after having ordered a car. They were so negative that we almost booked with another company because we got scared. The reviews though for the other companies are just as bad. I think people just complain a lot after traveling and they don’t read the rules prperly because our experience with goldcar was outstanding. We knew upfront we had to either take the insurrance or pay a large deposit. We got a brand new Skoda Fabia with just 90km on the clock and also rented a child seat of good quality which was very clean. Thank you Goldcar we enjoyed our rental!

Dont know with the reviews. But after renting from them my experience was excellence from service to the politeness and honesty of the staff. Thank you for making my holiday a lovely experience 👏
