We have just returned home from a wonderful ten day trip to Tuscany, and wow... this hotel was by far our favourite. We stayed for two nights but wish we had booked to stay for longer. The staff were impeccable, so attentive, friendly and professional. The standard of cleanliness and aesthetics of the rooms was also perfect. The views, pool and general outdoor area was beyond beautiful. We were truly sad to leave and are already planning when we can return to Relais Le Macine Di Stigliano. Even the breakfast and evening meal were superb. I feel that as a couple we are fairly picky with accommodation, but we truly couldn't fault this hotel. We can't wait to return!

Where do I start? I really want to come back and stay for ever. The staff is amazing, we asked them about recommendations and help with planning our days and they made everything so so easy. The surroundings are breathtaking and you have everything you need within a 15minute car ride.
You wake up to the sound of birds and the views are stunning from the Hotel! The hotel restaurant is a must, the food and the service is outstanding.
Breakfast is also amazing, a big variety of things out but you can also order some more stuff.
There is a beautiful pool but the weather wasn't on our side while we were there so we couldn't enjoy it. I am definitely coming back soon!

This was our third time visiting the Siena area and this was the best lodging option yet! While it is in an historic building, it is completely updated and very nice! The rooms were impeccably designed and clean. The staff went out of their way to make sure our experience was amazing! We are particularly grateful that they allow us to have lunch at the pool one day. Our kids were eager to swim, and we were all starving, and the team there made it possible for us to eat and enjoy the pool. We will absolutely stay here again on our next trip to Siena!

We were absolutely blown away by this amazing hotel. The old building was beautifully renovated with stunning and spacious rooms, a really nice pool area and terrace, and amazing gardens. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast is extraordinary. This is an absolute oasis, very quiet and beautifully located in the Tuscan hills - exactly what you imagine your holiday in Tuscany to be like. We will be back for sure!

I can not say enough good things about this hotel. It was amazing, and by far our favorite place we stayed during the 9 days we were in Italy. The staff is amazing, very helpful and informative, and they gave us great recommendations for wineries to check out! Dinner was by far my favorite meal on our trip, everything is local and hand made. Absolutely wonderful. The surroundings are beautiful, especially in the fall. We went on a bike ride through the mountain trails and those were definitely some of my favorite sights! I would highly recommend staying here if you are traveling to Tuscany. We are already looking forward to a return trip!!

We used this charming place actually mainly to chill out. So I don’t know much about the surroundings...
At first this small relais is modern, really clean and also attention has been paid to details and the comfort of the rooms. The pool is new and really clean, just not heated.
The breakfast is cute but good. Fresh and really above Italian standards. Also the lunch and dinner are delicious. Everything is fresh, local and handmade (with good accompanying wines).
But most importantly the staff. They are so so friendly, helpful and genuine. I honestly think that’s really important :)

Our stay at Relais Le Macine Di Stigliano couldn’t have been better! The location and views are stunning, and the staff led by Elisa were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and full of great recommendations for places to eat and visit. Special mention to Claudio and Agostino who went the extra mile to make our stay as relaxing as possible! A true gem in the heart of the Italian countryside.

Really beautiful little hotel near Siena. Perfect for Couples and great to visit the area around.
Siena is easy to reach by car (15-20 Min). The hotelstaff is extremly friendly and will do anything to make you feel comfortable and happy. Thanks a lot to Saverio for showing us around and giving us the best tips where to go and what ice cream we should try. Since there are only a few rooms, it was never crowded, very individual and relaxing. The garden is filled with flowers, around the buildung are olive trees. The Pool area is beautiful, the water was a bit cold but with the sun managable. We also enjoyed the lovely terrace with a stunning view on the castle. Breakfast and dinner in the evening where great. Our room was wonderful, very clean and big. I loved the atmosphere of the whole buildung and the decoration/colors. Its also nice to know that dogs are allowed. We also enjoyed that some games where available to play. Beautiful stay! Thanks a lot!

This was one of the nicest and most peaceful places we have ever stayed, the staff were consummate professionals, and we felt extremely well taken care of with the small details. The rooms were so nice, with beautiful views over the tuscan scenery, the restaraunt was delicious. We wished we could have stayed longer.

My wife and I traveled to the Tuscany Valley with 3 other couples in early October. We stayed at the Le Macine boutique resort 4 nights and had a fantastic time. The scenery was beautiful, the entire staff provided excellent service, and the food & wine was outstanding. We were in Italy 10 total days and Le Macine was by far the best place we stayed … great value, great people/owners, great fun!!

Increadibly friendly staff always ready for some good advise. Very humble and serviceable.

The rooms and the whole "complex" is beautifully styled.

We especially enjoyed the amazing view around the pool and will definitely be back for the calm and relaxing atmosphere.

Ps the breakfast and restaurant were also tiptop.

We went with three other couples, and all enjoyed the resort and the access it has to Siena and Tuscany countryside. Wonderful and warm service and great restaurant option after a long day of sightseeing. Rooms were specious and impeccably decorated. We are looking forward to a return visit.

Once I was there, I spent the first hour in the swimming pool with kids. After that, I got a fantastic lunch on the terrace with all my friends and we enjoyed in the afternoon Siena city centre.

Staff is so gentle and always available to satisfy the customer needs.

Relaxing and beautiful inn in the Tuscan countryside. Recently renovated and extremely comfortable. Owners are lovely and cook a great meal. Highly recommend - one of the best places I've stayed.

Relais Le Macine is a beautiful hideaway perfectly situated in the countryside near Siena for day trips through Tuscany.
Quiet, birds chirping and a lovely pool to cool off after a day in the sun.

But most notable is the staff - Manuel, Margherita and Agostino. What an amazing trio - so friendly and helpful!

Amazing place, newly refurbished throughout, peaceful & perfect. Everyone working there went out of their way to make us feel welcome and special. My partner arranged a birthday cake for me ahead of our visit which the owner picked up personally in a neighboring town!! Incredible service.

We stayed at Le Macine few times already, both with kids or alone.
The location is simply stunning! It’s very close to Siena city center (not more than 15’ by car) and the beautiful Val di Pesa and Val d’Elsa.
Stigliano is tiny medieval village on a silent hill. It is being totally refurbished and Le Macine is the best example of how modern and comfy solutions can merge with ancient architecture.
Silence, peace, relax, amazing food and wines. To me, these are the best words to describe the relais.
Rooms are comfortable, elegant, furnishing has natural materials (wood is everywhere) and relaxing colors.
The pool is the perfect place to relax.
In the evening, Le Macine is very quiet, your sleeps will be just accompanied by the sound of crickets
Food and beverage? It goes without saying... Breakfast is rich and the menu for lunch or dinner can satisfy any taste.
The wine cellar is at very high level.
Manuele, Elisa, Margherita and the whole staff create a fantastic atmosphere. They are able to support any need with the typical Italian charme, availability and proactivity.
What else? Yes, Le Macine is highly Recommended for a romantic escape or for a week touring around Tuscany.

This out of the way, but perfect getaway. Clean, recently remodeled, food service perfect. A gem, ac worked well even in 36 heat, glad we found this hotel roberta and paola were perfect hosts
