L'Antico Convitto

The location alone makes this place 5 stars. It has a cute quaint breakfast with cheeses, meats, sweets, toast and delicious coffee. The rooms are simple, the amenities were all in order, nothing broken. Was a perfect spot for walking around all day without having to climb a thousand stairs.

My brother and I (from Pittsburgh and San Diego, respectively) had a pleasant two-night stay at L’Antico Convitto in early August 2023. The location was great, surrounded by shops and restaurants, and conveniently close to the ferry and beach. Our room, which had twin beds, was comfortable, as was the bathroom. The shower was a bit small, as expected. The nights were peaceful without any outside noise. Breakfast offered a variety of meats, cheeses, eggs, croissants, and sweet treats, along with fresh cappuccino and espresso. The staff was helpful in suggesting dinner options. While we didn't spend much time on the rooftop, I managed to snap a few photos on our last morning.

This is a small hotel tucked quietly away but located a short walk from shopping, restaurants, ferries…. The rooms are not fancy, but have everything you need. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, the AC was great and it was super clean. The hotel staff were awesome, so helpful and accommodating. They arranged for a car to collect us from the airport and each day they offer a complimentary tour. We joined one in Ravello that was wonderful and we were the only 2 in the tour. We also joined the Path of the Gods hike which was amazing. It has got to be the best reasonably priced boutique hotel in Amalfi!

Had a great experience here! The rooms were very large and clean, and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. The beautiful terrace available to guests upstairs is an added bonus.

We loved our stay here. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. We only stayed for two nights, but we wish we had stayed longer. The view from the roof was beautiful and our room was so cozy. The location was also fantastic, just a short walk to the beach and only steps away from shopping and restaurants, would highly recommend staying here.

great place! the kindest staff you’ll ever meet and a wonderful rooftop patio. rooms are not fancy but sufficient and clean. plus, stellar prepared breakfast and wonderful location.

Our first stay in Amalfi and the staff was INCREDIBLE. They speak excellent english and we’re so helpful for the duration of our trip. Breakfast is every morning and the rooftop has the best views even though they share with two other hotels. They left us a thoughtful gift and card before leaving and we will be returning when back in Amalfi. Very close to the city center and boat docks. You cannot go wrong staying here.

Family run with friendly staff that does everything possible to make your stay the best. Includes top-level guided tours offered by the hotel. Rooms are spacious and furnished in the characteristic Amalfi style. Truly excellent.

We stayed here in Amalfi for 4 days. The hotel is located in the middle of town and easy to find. It was a short walk from the parking lot. When we arrived we were greeted by nice staff who went above and beyond to give us a run down of the area and places to visit and eat at. The room was for 4 people and had 2 sleeping areas. The amount of space is ample for a family. They set up 2 beds for the kids which were twin size and comfortable. The main sleeping area had a comfortable larger bed with a decent mattress. The key is attached to a card that needs to be inserted to run the electricity which is fine but also shuts the AC off when you leave and given the heat took some time for the room to cool down. The bathroom was clean. Breakfast is included and can be eaten on the roof deck which had a great view and nice space. people we traveled with had a room for 2 which was of good size but can use a new mattress as they were not comfortable and could feel the springs in the mattress.

Nice little hotel in the heart of Amalfi. Staff is extremely friendly and speak Italian and English. Each day they have an activity you can sign up for (various tours). They arranged parking for us during our stay. The included breakfast is better than you might expect for such a small hotel. The rooms are big and air conditioned. The bed is a typical, older mattress that is common in Europe (so not like a Marriott in the US), but comfortable. As a nice touch, the staff gave us a bottle of limoncello on our last day.

We arrived with a last minute booking in early Nov 2018, the manager was the nicest and most helpful person I have met so far in Italy. He upgraded our room for free, gave us excellent directions and suggestions around town, and clear information about the hotel and services. The room was very clean, the shower spacious with a rainfall showerhead, and breakfast was excellent with a great variety. This was a stark contrast to our other stay in Amalfi, which was to say the least a strange experience.

Excellent location. Has lift to get to reception on 3rd floor. Lovely rooftop terrace with amazing view where you have breakfast. Staff all extremely helpful. Room was a freat size and super clean

Spotless, spacious and scenic. The staff and location of this hotel were so good. This was our second hotel on a walking holiday and it could not have been better positioned in the heart of Amalfi. Even better was the balcony that we used for breakfast and in the evenings to gaze into the bay as the sun set.

My wife and quite enjoyed this hotel. Super convenient location with amenities in close proximity. Staff very friendly and helpful . Great breakfast

This is a very cute l little hotel down a narrow street. What you see when you come upon it is not what you should expect; it's bigger and grander. The front desk staff are extremely friendly and helpful, the breakfast has a wide variety of proteins and pastries, and it has a nice eating area in the hotel. Or you can do as we chose to do which was to eat on the roof top deck with a grand view of the inlet. It's off the main drag so it's relatively quiet.

I work for an airline and travel a lot. This is by far the best host I have ever had. Local family business that knows the area very well and will advise you on the best places to go site-see, eat, best methods of transportation, etc. Very clean, very friendly, amazing breakfast. L Antico convitto Hotel in the Amalfi Cost was One of the best hotels I stayed in. because it was family oriented they spoke English very well help us out a lot with our trip we had great room The sheets mattress was awesome it was privacy between the walls in the bathrooms were up to date bedroom view was awesome it was very comfortable and the air conditioner worked very well , our breakfast had especially home Lemon cello cheesecake .
in the neighborhood where are you see real Italian people life style . the hotel is located in the district of the lemon cello factory where all lemons are grown about 2 pounds apiece everything was there from the culture business lifestyle and that’s what I wanted to see , most important for me to learn about the Italian culture and the people that live there the food was awesome not expensive it was very safe no con artist no pickpockets , because of the reputation was extremely safe and lovely just relaxing , they Love tourist and welcoming , the area smells fresh there was no sewer or urine smell anywhere it was extremely clean.

Location icon is now correct. Great place to stay, clean and spacious rooms. Fantastic breakfast, phenomenal roof top space. Awesome staff members. Stayed 2 nights: June 2016, will definitely return on my next visit.

Exceeded expectations in every aspect. The property is managed by the owner and his family. Our room was wonderful and clean, the location is awesome, around 100 yards from the main square. No steps! Good breakfast!

First of all the location is wrong on Google maps. To get there go up the main Amalfi street. Go past the duomo and on the right you will see restorante la galea. Take the next right down a small alley and the hotel will be there. The views were amazing from our room and the roof top terrace has a beautiful ocean view. The service was also incredible here and the breakfast was plentiful. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone going to Amalfi.
