Residenza Luce

Vincenzo and his family run an incredible experience with Residenza Luce, and I cannot imagine better help with having the perfect experience in the Amalfi Coast. Our room was a peaceful, thoughtfully layed out, clean and comfortable, and it was not too loud in October.

As an American I am a sucker for a good European breakfast, and will be craving the melons for weeks-- as well as Lydia's delicious cappuccino.

The family who owns Residenza Life are the most welcoming professionals we have ever met, and I would highly recommend this to all my family and friends.

I wish I could give service 10/5 stars. The staff was the most amazingly helpful, kind, and knowledgeable people I’ve experienced in Italy. Gerardo helped us find activities, restaurants, and book taxis and train tickets. Vincenzo was also so kind and helped arrange taxis and carry luggage. The woman (can’t remember her name) was so tenderly and I’m assuming she cooked the wonderful breakfast we had. Can’t recommend this place enough; especially if you want to feel at home and a part of their family. The staff here truly go the extra mile to ease your trip!

The place is great. Right in the heart of the action, pretty quiet at night. The family running the hotel was so nice, even did a load of laundry for me, turned it around in less than a day. They arranged transportation from Naples airport and helped us get to Rome the cheapest and quickest way once our stay was over.

Now I understand why there are so many 5-star reviews! This is the best place to stay in the Amalfi coast. The location is PERFECT! You get the quiet mornings on the terrance overlooking the duomo and the energy of Amalfi right outside your door. We walked to the pier each sunset. Just a dream. The staff makes sure you have a wonderful experience, they helped arrange a private transfer, provided us a better route to get to Rome, offered to book us at the beach club, gave genuine care and attention. The beds are comfortable too! This place is love and happiness! Grazie to everyone at Residenza Luce for your care! <3

Vicenzo and his staff are a dedicated and delightful group of people who really make the stay in Amalfi enjoyable. They love the area and what they do and it shows every time you talk with them.

Exceptional!!! Staying at this gorgeous hotel was the highlight of our trip to Europe. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and in the heart of Amalfi's shopping, restaurant and beaches. The owner, Vincenzo, went above and beyond for us throughout our stay. He arranged transportation for us multiple times, had a porter on hand to accommodate our luggage and recommended restaurants. The breakfasts (which were served on a gorgeous rooftop terrace) were the most amazing breakfasts we have ever eaten at a hotel. The staff were truly the kindest people and made us feel like family. Our room was beautiful with a terrace overlooking the city. Our stay here exceeded our expectations on all levels. Truly a wonderful experience!!

Residenza Luce is a wonderful place to stay in Amalfi. The staff are super friendly, more like your family :). They are always ready to help and give you whatever piece of touristic advice you might need (salute, Vincenzo and Gerardo!). The location is right in the heart of the town, some 50 metres from the central square and within a 1-2 minute walk to the seafront and bus/taxi terminals, amidst countless food and souvenir outlets. The rooms are large, cosy and very well-equipped, being cleaned daily. The buffet breakfasts up on the roof terrace are fresh and delicious, the choice of meals serves all tastes. The internet speed is good and available TV channels limitless, while you can also use YouTube or stream from your devices to the room TV. We've had an unforgettable stay and only positive emotions at the Amalfi coast, to a great extent owing to this choice of accommodation.

My husband and I just spent 3 nights at this amazing hotel! As soon as you arrive you are welcomed with hospitality and the best customer service I think we’ve ever received! The staff treat you as if you are family and help in every way they can. Everyone we came in contact with was very welcoming and gave many recommendations for food, how to get around, things to do, etc. Our room was very elegant, clean, and the bed was very comfortable! We also loved being in a central location. There are shops and restaurants right outside the entrance. We are so happy to recommend this hotel!! Thank you!!

Amazing stay! The rooms are Amalfi-chique, spacious and clean. Vincenzo was very friendly and came to pick us up and take care of our car (we booked parking). His mother in law welcomed us and arranged the breakfast, and she was so friendly and caring it made us feel very special and welcome. What beautiful, warm persons! Grazie mille!

Everyone was so kind, and it was clear every detail had been thought out. Breakfast on the terrace was homemade by Lydia who smiles and welcome you like family, and the location is incredible. We had an amazing stay here, staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful. They gave us great recommendations and made sure we were taken care of. On top of that, rooms were spacious and clean. Had all the amenities you need. Breakfast was also excellent. Great location, very close to bus/ferry and centre. Can't recommend more.

This is a great find. Right in the heart of Amalfi on the main strip overlooking the piazza. Perfect little boutique hotel with attentive and incredibly knowledgable staff. Gerardo was so helpful with his restaurant and activity recommendations. Ours was10 out of 10 stay. Please book with them! Also the complimentary breakfast was "meravigliosa" and lovingly prepared by the staff. Finally, I was learning Italian while traveling and Gerardo was more than happy to help me practice! Ti ringrazie ancora, Gerardo!

Absolutely perfect!! The entire staff treat you like royalty. Beautiful rooms, great location, terrific recommendations and clean. Can't wait to go back. Lydia was a true treasure.

All the reviews are spot on. This place is exquisite. Great amenities, phenomenal breakfast, amazing location. Vincenzo goes above and beyond to help you get situated. He provides you with all the tips you need so you can move with ease from town to town as you see all the coastal sights.

Best location in Amalfi, right in a middle of the city center + 5 min walk to the port and bus station. Amazing hospitality by the hotel owner! He met me at the ferry station to help with the bags. Delicious home cooked breakfast on the terrace overlooking Amalfi. Will definitely be back again. 5+++ hotel!

amazing experience and staff was incredibly kind and welcoming. They met us at the ferry and had porters to help us carry our luggage through the streets and up the stairs. The breakfast was delicious and they offered tons of tips for local attractions. When they found out we wanted to do the walk of the gods, they ran out and got us bus tickets and ferry tickets to get back from Positano so we wouldn't have to navigate that part ourselves.

The location, which is central and in a tremendous neighborhood and very close to the beach, just can’t get any better. The staff are extremely friendly, helpful and smart. Vincenzo helps with everything you might need and his recommendations and suggestions are knowledgeable, helpful and competent. Gerardo , who is also very friendly, even gave me some complimentary Italian lessons and he was very good at it too! And I can’t say enough about Lydia: the sweetest lady, who is truly like a kind loving mother! The place is clean and the service is excellent: very nicely designed, dream-like balcony, excellent WiFi, very competent cleaning personnel and delicious breakfasts on the rooftop terrace. I am definitely going back any chance I get!

Staying at Residenza Luce was one of the highlights of our 10 day trip along the Amalfi Coast. The service was absolutely outstanding. They helped us book different things to do in the city, the hotel staff was so genuine and kind, and made sure our stay was above and beyond. The breakfast was incredible every morning, cooked fresh by the hotel staff. I asked one morning if they had gluten free bread and they did not which was understandable because it is not very common. The next morning at breakfast they had baked a special gluten free cake and omelet without any dairy. They said they couldn't find gluten free flour in the city so they went to Sorrento to buy the flour. I was so blown away. They made our whole experience in Amalfi the highlight of our trip! The balcony views are beautiful, the rooms are spacious, and beautifully decorated. I highly recommend this hotel! Just AMAZING!!!!! Can't say enough positive things about our experience!
