Hotel Lidomare

Hotel Lidomare was really awesome. Nice clean room with a balcony giving us an incredible view of the ocean. I believe there’s breakfast in the morning for $8, which we didn’t do, but we could tell it was popular. We would absolutely stay here again.

It was perfect! The location was so good. Unlike old reviews, TV and a.c was working well. I loved the room, scenery, friendly owner.

Excellent, from every point of view!
Friendly staff (probably the owner) at the front desk and by our arrival his wife (I assume). We didn't booked the room. Went straight to the hotel and find a room for 3 persons at a aforrdable price. No more than two minutes to walk at the comercial harbor and the bus station. We found a amazing room with Seaview:). Simply amazing! Very clean, very comfortable and cousy. Breakfast more than fine. We highly recommend this hotel!

Nice affordable unpretentious hotel run by locals. Very friendly. Super clean tile floors. I accidentally flooded the bathroom and mopped it up with a towel, a white towel, even under the toilet and bidet in the corner and no hairs or speck of dirt on that towel. Breakfast was good. The location right near the port, beach, and just off the busy little main street up some 20 stairs. A little noisy from the road below, but the balcony with a sea view was fabulous.

Cleanliness was good on face value but it needs a deep clean - quite dusty in high places and the mini bar was disgusting! Throw that fridge away!

We didn’t have breakfast included so didn’t eat there so can’t comment on that.

It is quite run down - if they can they should invest into it - repaint it in places and replace some of the equipment and they could charge a lot more.

Advice to guests - take earplugs as it’s loud outside at night and it’s hard to find as there are no signs! But it’s the big white building above amalfi terminal with 2 amalfi flags on it. To access you need to go the main square and then the steps up by the bank on the left (opposite the church)

Definitely would recommend it. The front desk attendant-Santo- was very helpful and nice when we’d ask him for directions or help. It’s also great that he’s always on site. The room was clean and the cleaning staff lovely and attentive. It’s hidden away on one of the alley which makes it a great location If you are trying to get away from the Main Street hustle. We had a balcony view which was very nice view of the plaza and harbor. Not too noisy at night and had blackout curtains. Very affordable for a great central spot. One minute walk from Amalfi Cathedral and all restaurants.

An absolute budget gem, right in the heart of Amalfi. The cathedral is just a 30 second walk away and after a single staircase you are right on the main waking street. The rooms are facing the ocean and a small balcony have great views over the busy square and the Mediterranean Sea. The staff very friendly and the simple breakfast which was provided was totally fine for the cheap price.

The location is excellent with a fabulous view of the ocean. Very friendly staff who were always willing to assist with anything, in particular the Manager. The room was spacious and clean as is the whole building. We were given assistance to carry our luggage up the two flights of stairs and a valet service to park our vehicle in a private garage which costs 20 euros per day. You certainly cannot judge the hotel by the exterior of the building as the inside is lovely.
The only negative feedback is that there were no details on how to find the property. It is not easy to find, particularly if you have a car. The entry is in the town square of Amalfi, so you cannot drive in. We did advise that we had a car, so an explanation on where to park first and how to find the hotel would have been appreciated.

We chose hotel Lidomare last minute, we came spontaneously to the Amalfi town without any research of the 🏨 but we got amazing surprise - the hotel. The people that were in charge, were very friendly, specially the receptionist who had a lot of patience for us cause we didn't t know which kind of room we want so we were shown a room with a view to the see and the view for a yard, it was very kind that we could a possibility to even select the room that we liked! The breakfast was included in the price and was in nice room with antique interior! Mixture of elegance and history. Price is very good I think for what you get. I would really recommend it for romantic weekend to everyone maybe for couples specially but also with a good friend to share the views of a special town Amalfi. Price is very good I think for what you get.

The hotel is a bit hard to find so i want to write here to help. There is a narrow way just opposite to the famous church. You go in the narrow way about 1,5 meters with the church stairs on your back then go up the stone stairs on the left side that lead to the hotel. Once you are upstairs you see the hotel at the end of the plattform. The owner is very nice. He is almost at the desk the whole time. You may call him if you cant find it.

This hotel is lovely! Quaint and perfectly situated near the main square in town, it is a wonderful place to stay while visiting Amalfi. The staff was very kind and the breakfast was great! I will definitely be recommending this to any of my friends who want to visit Amalfi.

Nice place. Lovely room. Great location convenient to everything but back off the street a ways in a relatively quite space. Staff were extra nice people. Wonderful little hotel in this remarkable town.

Stayed here several years ago. wonderfully hospitable. I had the room below ground level, loved it. Lady owner used to patiently wait for me to return each night. How good is that!

Geea location. Professional owner. We got a room upgrade with ocean view for free. Breakfast was excellent. Couldn't be happier with this place.

Lovely staff at entrance and cleaning is on spot! Perfect little getaway from the busy Amalfi square. Would definitely recommend.
