Ristorante La Dolce Vista

In the week we have been in Amalfi, this was by far the best restaurant we experienced. With excellent food, service and possibly one of the best views. We ate at many establishments including 5 star and this was above them all.
The service was relaxed and friendly, not imposing like many.
The food was amazing, especially the ravioli dishes and Lemon delice and Panna Cotta for dessert.
I highly recommend this restaurant.

We almost didn't go due to a few negative reviews. But the reviews were about a bad steak (why would you order a steak on the Amafli Coast) and about bad wine (I am in the wine business and bad wine means you either didn't taste test it or you just don't know the local wine). So we went and I am very, very glad we did.

The seafood was as good as anything we have had in the area, especially the octopus appetizer and the risotto which was delicate, creamy and delicious. The wine list is small BUT whomever selects the wine knows how to pair with their food as the Greco di Tufo we had was the perfect match for our dishes.

Service was excellent, though it was a slow night and we do speak Italian. And the view is hard to beat....

Definitely one of the better restaurants in Praiano.

Spectacular views, spectacular food, spectacular service.

On our first night on the coast, my husband and I decided to try Ristorante La Dolce Vista and this is going to be hard to top. When I say the views here are breathtaking I truly mean it - I was gobsmacked when they led us to our balcony table overlooking the sea. Easily one of the best views in the city.

The staff were so welcoming and wonderful. They were incredibly friendly and knowledge about the food and the area as a whole. We felt so well attended to and taken care of during our meal.

And the food itself was SPECTACULAR. The charcuterie board had some of the best prosciutto and freshest mozzarella we’ve ever had. My husband had the risotto and I had the swordfish and it was delicious! I think my favorite part about the way the food was prepared was that it was simple and not over seasoned or over complicated, which really helped show off the quality and integrity of the ingredients they used. We ended the night with a homemade lemonchello from fresh picked ingredients in their garden - it was equally tasty and strong!

What a wonderful experience we had at Ristorante La Dolce Vista - I highly recommend it to any visitors of the area!

The staff were top notch made you feel like you were at home. Food was out of this world. We actually went back a couple times because it was so delicious.

We first walked into La Dolce Vista for an early afternoon aperitif/drink as we had just returned from Capri and Positano was looking too busy for a relaxing afternoon. We parked our car in our garage (right across from the restaurant) and made an on-the-spot decision to walk straight into the restaurant. We walked in and were the only ones there at first. As the sun set, multiple people walked in for drinks as well. The restaurant has the best views of most on the Amalfitano. We were not very hungry and tried to order an appetizer of pizza but they didn’t serve it until dinner (I think after 7:30). We went home, cleaned up and decided to cancel our reservation at Il Pino and go back to Dolce vista for a less formal light dinner and wine. Our waiter was awesome. He took his time making some recommendations based upon our conversation and man, he was spot on! I spent 3 1/2 years living in Italy about 35 miles north east of Amalfi. I grew up in NY and consider myself well versed on pizza. I grew up in NY and consider myself very versed in food, especially pizza, and I have to say, even though I always order “plain” margarita pizza (and prefer it over anything) their pizza marinara (sauce, garlic and oregano) was the BEST PIZZA I’ve ever had! So good we had 1 margarita and two marinara’s. It was delicious!!! They had some great local wines as well. All in all, the four of us had a wonderful time at the restaurant and will be back, the next time we visit Praiano!

The best view we had for dinner while on Amalfi Coast. This place is so elegant and charming. This had the cleanest bathroom I saw at all restaurants on the Amalfi coast, such a nice smell and so elegantly decorated. It's a family business and the owner still works there, that certainly helps keep the quality of everything high. Food was excellent and prices were decent. Would return anytime.

A real highlight. Go earlier in the evening for a front row seat to the sunset over Positano. Great food. Drinks not cheap but generous pour, and stellar personal service.

We took our chances and visited Italy mid September 2023...one Saturday evening we popped our heads at this amazing place and felt too good to be true... The view, the furniture, the design... It almost like felt illegal to be there.
Had a great time with the staff, even the owners are very friendly and open.
Recommending this place for surreal memories.

The staff engaged with us and were so accommodating! It is a must restaurant to visit when in Priano/Positano. Do yourself a favour and forget the hype of Positano and head to this amazing little gem.

We really enjoyed our experience here. The staff was more than accommodating and friendly. The food so good. We weren't even hungry but decided to try the pastas and finish what we could. Plates were clean by the time we were done. Tiramisu was spot on (more of a jarred wet version, but amazing). If staying in Praiano, would definitely check out this spot. Thanks.

We had a friendly welcome as we entered the restaurant and we were led to the terrace. Gorgeous view of Positano and we had arrived in time for a spectacular sunset. Our server made us feel welcome and was very attentive throughout of the course of our meal! Food was delicious! Wine was perfect for our meal. We enjoyed this restaurant on our first night of our visit, that we ate here 3x during our stay in Praiano!

Wonderful experience, kind staff, delicious food with a sweet view!

We have lived in Campania for 4 years and have been to the Amalfi coast countless times. This restaurant was at minimum, equal to the best overall experience we have had. Very kind and professional staff, outstanding food, excellent value and fantastic location.

Come into this bar/restaurant and get a lemon granita/slush!!! You can get it to go if you need something to cool you down. The owner picks the lemons from their garden. I’m now back home a dreaming of these delish 🍋 granitas.

(I didn’t eat here so this review is only on the lemon granita - the best we had in the Amalfi Coast.)

Great place if you’re not in a rush and want to enjoy the sunset over Positano.
