La Gavitella - Restaurant & Beach

Got to say, for a little beach side restaurant, this place punches above its weight. The food is excellent and probably the best I had in Praiano. Unusual and unexpected little gem that I would highly recommend if you can handle the steps. Staff are really lovely, too. The view is sensational!

I am surprised this place does not have 5 stars! We were meant to go to One Fire Beach club who charge 100 euro a beach chair. Instead we stumbled upon this location! Their prices were fair at 70 euro for two beach chairs and a 30 euro credit to use at the restaurant. We ordered an Aperol Spritz and Lemon Spritz that were delicious and kept cold in an ice bucket for us. It was simple to get into the water with a beautiful beach along the side where you can walk right in! It was one of our favorite parts of the trip. The attendant, Aldo, was friendly and accommodating. Great service, great drinks, and a beautiful view!

We walked & it was definitely a trek, but it was so worth it. The best seafood I’ve ever eaten.

We didn’t get any food but it looked great. The staff was amazing and they put on a big show cutting up a watermelon. There are two entry ways to the water and they are both beautiful. The prices are high but that’s expected for a location like this. My wife and I had an absolute blast!

Great experience at La Gavitella. Aldo and Giovanni were great. Drinks (lemon spritz) and food (lemon fusilli + zucchini spaghetti) were 10/10. Great place to relax while enjoying the sun and water. Recommend bringing water shoes as the beach is rocky

Had a great day at the beach club, we got the “Deluxe” package which came with front row seats, a bottle of champagne, two cocktails, mixed fruit, appetizers, and water. It was totally worth it! We also went up to the restaurant to grab a bite when it started to sprinkle out and it was amazing food, service, and view!

Pretty small and quiet beach between Praiano and Positano. Reachable by stairs or by boat with an own shuttle boat service. We took the boat from Marina Di Praia (where we stayed). This boat service was included in the reservation for loungers and umbrella. 40 € per person, including 15 € credit. Reservation has to be made online. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Limited spots on the concrete beach, that's why a little bit too narrow spaces between beach chairs. With very limited ability to change positions of the chairs and umbrellas. Sun is hitting all the spots around noon and keeping on till sundown. Great waters with a very good possibility of swimming laps. Limited access sites to the water. Food and drinks options are not too many, but fresh and delicious. Decent prices; remember the 15 € credit. Fresh water shower available at this beach.
La Gravitella is located next to Fire Beach, sharing the same waterfront. The Fire Beach is bigger, with some more space between chairs but louder and more expensive. Somehow, it's more of a party beach.

We left one fire beach club because they were very rude to us, we went next-door and Aldo was so welcoming and nice.. he turned it into such a great day. Wonderful service and views

If you are looking for a beach club that isn’t about loud music & instagramers then you have found the spot. The beach club has a wonderful view of Positano. The beach can be accessed by the side. The beach has a fresh water shower & free beach for the locals too. The restaurant is amazing & the staff / food is amazing. I love the calamari & salads. I’ve been going there for the last 3 years. It’s just beautiful.

ciro is one of the best servers we encountered during our reservation in La Gaviterra. Amazing food and the view is wonderful. Stayed in Positano and they accompanied us to a complimentary boat ride to the restaurant. Give it a try! Its a whole experience!

Hidden gem of the Amalfi coast! We had the best lunch of our three week Italian trip their yesterday after getting a recommendation from family who visited last year. Food, service, atmosphere were all sensational and the squid out of this world. Absolute must if visiting Praiano

Amazing beach club and food on the Amalfi Coast. We loved every second of our day here with the waves, aperol spritz and calming atmosphere.

I spent a relaxing day on their white beds admiring a Positano View.
Went for lunch on their restaurants and was amazed by the view and the food. Fresh products, traditional dishes. The Chef is a local and he is super friendly!
