Il Pozzo Antico

We had a wonderful stay at Il Pozzo Antico, really friendly hosts, amazing view of the Etna and great food at the restaurant in the evening. We got there by train from Mascali station, it's about 20 minutes to walk (but possible to take a big shortcut if you're willing to climb a fence). The beach was a +-25 minute walk (unfortunately along the main road, which doesn't have a good sidewalk, but it was very doable). The terrain itself has some grass where you can sit or lay down with a book, as well as plenty of tables. The restaurant is not open during the afternoon, but there are plenty of lunch options in town, including a supermarket nearby.

Great place with perfect food, especially fresh pasta, delicious pizza and seafood. Very nice and helpful host. Quite far from the town but this is what you should expect from agriturismo. Place with a nice view to Etna, close to all interesting places on the east side of Sicily. We highly recommend.

We stayed three nights there.
The rooms are beautiful and have everything you need.
Rosi, the owner, is perfectly friendly and we enjoyed it very much.
We had also the breakfast and it's delicious, with homemade bread, croissants, jams and fresh fruit and tomatoes, eggs. :)
The dinner is also excellent, Pizza, Pasta, Meat, Fish ... everythings is supergood!

As a regular visitor to "Il pozzo antico" in Mascali I have always without exception found the staff to be more than welcoming, even without a pre-booked reservation. Their food is always of the highest standard, wholesome and tasty. Service is excellent and the venue itself is in my opinion is the best in Mascali. We always try and find a place outside in the garden, weather permitting and find it very relaxing to just sit, have a chat over a few drinks and escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Well done folks and see you again soon.

It's a cozy place with great view of Etna Montain and very good food, that made us go there for second time. A lot of beautiful places in the area, easy to reach by car.

Nice, calm place with good food in the middle of lemon and orange trees. Walk to the beach along the road is 30 minutes. Enjoy. Relax.

Ottimo Ristorante pizzeria, nel periodo estivo tavoli all'esterno, pizza con prodotti di ottima qualità, personale ai tavoli gentile, ti sa consigliare su specialità della casa, immerso nel verde, fanno anche da Agriturismo con diverse camere. Prezzi ottimi. Lo consiglio

Wir sind auf Empfehlung unseres B&B zum Abendessen hier gelandet. Etwas ausserhalb gelegenes, aber sehr schönes Lokal. Wir waren 30min vor offizieller Öffnung dort und wurden trotzem freundlich empfangen und durften etwas trinken während wir warteten. Wir bestellten zu zweit je einen Primi und einen Secondi, was definitv zu viel war 😅 Die Portionen sind sehr grosszügig, das Essen aber sehr lecker! Auch die Pizzen müssen gut sein. Definitiv zu empfehlen!

Ligger langs en lille vej men en perle at komme frem til med masser af Italiensk mad.

Posto veramente comodo, tranquillo, in mezzo alla natura, prezzi accessibili, ottimi cibo casereccio, camera calda. Credo di consigliarlo vivame. Ci ritornerò senz'altro quando capiterò per lavoro.

Heerlijk eten, goede service door Rosi en moeder Grazia en keurige kamers met goede douche en airco.

Ci ha preparato (su prenotazione) il pollo ruspante, che allevano loro stessi, al forno con le patate. Buonissimo. Col sughino ci hanno condito anche i rigatoni. Poi abbiamo preso la focaccia con la Nutella: veramente stavolta è stato tutto ottimo.

Wir haben hier vier Nächte übernachtet. Das Zimmer war super sauber und geräumig, das Bett sehr bequem. Pozzo Antico ist ein idealer Ort für Ausflüge auf den Ätna und in die Umgebung. Man ist überall sehr schnell. Das Frühstück war in Ordnung, es gab sogar frische Croissants.
Die Gastgeberin ist sehr sympathisch!
