Castelfalfi, Hotel

We are here at the moment for our honeymoon and I actually couldn’t wait to write a review. This is the best experience of our lives. The location is a dream and the staff is so attentive and welcoming and lovely. I wish I could give it 100 out of 100 stars. This is the place you want to stay when you come here. We will 1000% be back.

The Castelfalfi Hotel has remarkably transformed a medieval town into a premier vacation destination.

We had several day trips planned, but once we checked in, we canceled most of them because the hotel grounds were so captivating. We simply wanted to savor every moment at the resort.

The spa quickly became our favorite spot, with its stunning heated pool that we could have easily spent the entire day enjoying. What added to the charm of the hotel were the subtle touches that paid homage to the hotel’s owner, like displaying his book collection and offering special menu items from his homeland. These little details added a unique touch.

We cannot wait to return, and we're confident that on our next visit, Castelfalfi will have added even more amenities and found new ways to make our stay even more unforgettable.

My husband and I were completely blown away by Castelfalfi. We had been travelling Europe for our honeymoon for a couple of weeks but the Castelfalfi was where we felt our honeymoon truly started. The attention to detail from the staff is top tier. The facilities are impeccable. Amazing meals and wine selections at all of the restaurants. A highlight of the stay was our pizza making class and wine tasting. We are already planning our return trip. Castelfalfi is truly a luxury hidden gem!

We stayed at Castelfafi earlier this summer and we had an extremely enjoyable stay. The staff are all so kind, thoughtful and extremely attentive. They assisted us in booking experiences that are truly memorable. The rooms are spacious, amenities luxurious and the food 👌 the breakfast buffet was a highlight. My family and I visited Castelfalfi this past week. The service we received was nothing short of outstanding. It is a romantic resort, but don’t let that discourage you from bringing your children. The attention to detail and care we received for our daughter and family was phenomenal. All the restaurants on-site are delicious and never disappointed. Thanks for a great trip, Castelfalfi!

My partner and I are completely blown away by the magnificence of this property. It’s quite isolated but magically appears like an oasis between the rolling hills of the Tuscan countryside. When booking a stay you might want to legitimately consider having zero alternate plans as the property and amenities could keep an entire family fully occupied for days. Benjamin and his team have captured the art of true luxury by fulfilling the guest experience by anticipating one’s needs and executing on them perfectly.

The general decor and rooms are precious and constitute an ultra modern take of staying in a quaint Tuscan town.

The amount of activities provided by the property are impressive and the bike tour was particularly enjoyable.

This hotel is a truly a dream. From the minute you enter the driveway, they make you feel like the only guest there. The entire staff is incredibly in sync. They greet you by name every time you see them. Even staff members you have not interacted with! My wife and I stayed here for 5 nights on our honeymoon. We would’ve stayed for a month if possible.

Every restaurant is top notch. The pizza at Il Rosmarino was some of the best I’ve had in Italy and we have been coming all our lives.

The spa is 5* plus. You can eat off the floor. The pools are always clean. The amenities are brand new such as the saunas and steam room etc.

The grounds are kept immaculately. It’s part of a little town in which the hotel takes up most of so it feels like a hotel village.

We were blown away by the staff members willingness to help in so many ways. Every single member was incredible. However, I wanted to nominate a few that we personally interacted with, not to say anyone else wasn’t good but because these were our personal experiences. Starting with Massimo at the front, he was a gentleman and so knowledgeable. Lorenzo and Davide at the lobby bar were also amazing. Giuseppe and Antonio at the main restaurant were always on point.

We stayed at the hotel in May 2024. A family of 4. This hotel is what hospitality is all about. Not only is the property beautiful, rooms and food were excellent. But most importantly the people and the service was excellent. During our stay a piece of jewelry got lost/misplaced. The GM and the team did everything needed to help us recover it. About 10 days after our stay they found it and sent it to us. We had lost hope. But they had not. They went above and beyond to help us find it and they did find it. It is those magical moments that make this a fantastic hotel. In addition we had plenty of activities with the kids. The tree hopping, the board games, even arranging to take care of them when we went for a dinner. Nothing is impossible at Castelfalfi at least that’s how they make it seem. Thanks a lot for the care. Ps: I used to be a hotel manager, you guys take it up a notch :-)

This is a high quality resort/hotel with first class service and accommodation. Make sure you have a room with a view as the view is absolutely jaw droppingly, stunningly, beautiful!!!! The food in the main restaurant is very good and the breakfast selection outstanding. We only stayed a couple of nights at the end of a two week vacation in Tuscany, principally with the intention of using the hotel as a base to visit nearby San Gimignano and Volterra so didn’t have the time to use the golf or spa facilities but the spa looks beautiful. We definitely intend to return for a longer stay!

The hotel is gorgeous and the staff is outstanding. We were treated as very special people from the moment we pulled up to check in. The views from the property are beautiful and the entire atmosphere is something special.

WOW! WOW!! Absolutely beautiful property! Everything here, from the furnishing, linens, gym, food, staff and service makes Castelfalfi among the best!!
Every where you look you see beautiful and modern design in the main hotel with incredible views of the hills. The outdoor patios are furnished beautifully and allow you to view the surrounding stress and sunset!! There is a little village 2 minute walk from the main hotel area that is so quaint and decorated for the Christmas season we want to return and see it again in the spring/summer. The breakfast is immense and numerous options available.
Having a well equipped gym is one item I always hope for and the one here is perfect. Everything is virtually brand new!
We did a truffle hunting tour and cooking class along with the wine and olive oil tasting. In each activity, the experience was superb! I highly recommend a visit and stay here, it is truly amazing!!

The resort was absolutely beautiful and extremely well-kept. Staff and service were outstanding. The staff were always willing to assist and accommodate with anything we needed. Food was excellent, and each of the restaurants and common areas were so beautifully furnished and designed. The amenities were awesome! We made good use of the spa, which includes a heated pool that connects to the outside. This was great for cold weather since the normal pool was closed due to weather. Gym was spacious and had adequate equipment and even came with snacks, headphones, and cold towels. The excursions and activities were a bit pricey, but we did splurge on the wine tour and had a great time with Alex! Would definitely recommend and return again!

The staff and service were incredible. We ate at multiple property restaurants, golfed, used the spa facilities, participated in wine tasting and the pizza making class with exceptional service at every step.

One note is that the spa bathroom/locker room is rather small and does not provide the types of amenities you would expect at a 5 star resort (lotion, cotton swabs, etc.)

Top notch hotel with a stunning view of the hills of Tuscany. We absolutely loved our room and its gorgeous view. Breakfast was included in our stay. The hotel offers valet parking. Very friendly staff. They have a big pool with a very nice terrace, where you can enjoy lunch. I highly recommend this hotel.

Luxurious suites, excellent service from front of house to housekeeping, breathtaking backyard views (just make sure you pick sunny seasons to visit; outdoor area is gloomy and closed when rains).

Was not impressed by the food at their pizzeria though but we were happy with the breakfast and bar drinks and of course the scenery.

I came here with my family but did think this would be a perfect honeymoon spot as well. Molto romantico!

The recent negative reviews couldn’t be further from our experience. The service was impeccable; the staff were friendly, attentive, helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We didn’t want for anything!

We did the wine tasting tour as well as the vesper hire to San Gimignano, both were great fun!

Thank you for a fantastic 3 nights, we couldn’t have been more looked after!!

It was the last stop of our Toscana adventure in summer ‘22. Chilling by the pool was nice, rooms were spatious and clean. Having great food and wine by the amazing view of Toscana mountains is something to remember forever. Bees did not let us have our breakfast outside but no one can help this :)

The best place to stay in Tuscany! Everyone in the hotel was super welcoming and friendly. We felt really good during our stay. The views are insane. Definitely the best views in Tuscany! The breakfast is extremly good with many choices of high quality food. The bed is super comfortable and the entire room is well furnished. The hotel has a beautiful Spa and is within a great area for hiking and outdoor activities. We are looking forward to coming back.

I could even give them 6 or 7 stars if possible. Great surrounding, great food, great golf course, nice villas, but most of all fantastic service. Reception and Concierge were taking care of everything for me and I just enjoyed the stay. They were proactively arranging restaurant reservations, helping me in car rental, offering other transportation, etc... I have never seen such a nice and helpful service on this Planet. And the beauty of this place is astonishing. Tuscany at its best. Must go !
