Geie Tunnel Del Monte Bianco

It is always a pleasure to be at the Mont Blanc border crossing. This is the entrance to Italy from the French side. There are currently works on the Italian side and they are making the traffic a little difficult. The tunnel will be closed from October 16 > 2 months.

Staff at both the restaurant and market were friendly. We just got small snacks but the food in the deli case looked delicious. The person running the toll booth was fine, not overly friendly but not rude or anything. On our way back into Italy in the afternoon we were stopped by border control while our passports were examined. The officers were extremely professional and polite.

Tunnel 11,6 km with limit 50km/h till 70km/h! Great views in both sides (Italy-France)

It’s just a toll road you pay to travel from Italy to France without driving through the alps. Didn’t have much queue time or delays. Easy process

A great long tunnel. Enjoyed driving in there and just when you come out it’s is 4500 m above sea level with snow cap mountains. Amazing views.

Always an experience coming up here in a truck and what a great day I had to come.

No queuing, straight through. Must be Covid. Feels marvellous to arrive on the Italian side.

Check the traffic on Waze or so before taking the tunnel to make sure you avoid the peak traffic. Get a 10 pass it's only 150 Euros valid 2 years vs the 55 for one return.
Takes about 15min to cross.

Beautiful place with good comfort

Tunnel services are excellent and safe to use. Speed limits and safety distances are strictly enforced, so beware of that. As a transit is a bit pricey one way and it could be improved by allowing a return valid at least 2 weeks instead of one.

Mont Blanc tunnel is 7.21 miles long and [..] and you must drive between 31.1 and 43.5 mph.

Mont Blanc tunnel, one of the best architecture in the wotld. Anyone visiting Italy to or from France must pass through it at least once. For small car it takes 92 euro and max speed inside is 70kmph.

A bit of queue before to enter the tunnel but still acceptable

Very good tunnel, great infrastructure.
It is worth getting the 10x card if you are going to have more than 2 return trips.
