Ristorante Badia

We stopped here for very late lunch (or early dinner). Food was really good - I recommend the focaccia ( we ordered 3 for 6 people, it was that dood), very good salads, especially the tricolore one. Pasta was great as well. They have outdoor tables and we were able to sit outside on 1st of January, someone was playing music on the little square next to the restaurant. Great food, service and atmosphere !

We had the best risotto here and the desserts were amazing. The lava cake was to die for and the tiramisu was delicious. This was the best meal we have had since getting to Sicily. We have already decided to come back.

I was a little disappointed my truffle pasta didn't look anything like the other photos you'll see here with lots of truffles on them, but it was delicious anyway! An excellent choice for our time here.

Great location overlooking the square. Great service. Very welcoming the second we walked in. My partner and I shared 3 courses. The chef kindly plated seperate dishes for us which was really nice. We shared a pasta, lasagne and mixed grill, all of which were delicious. Highly recommend.

A great place in Taormina! They have a wide selection of fish and “non-fish” dishes. I was looking for a fish based pasta that night and Ristorante Badia did not disappoint with their tuna and almond pasta. Highly recommended around Taormina.

We found the food excellent at this restaurant particularly given the price and location. We enjoyed lunch so much we went back a second time during our trip. Our waiter seemed to speak 10 languages and was very friendly. The tomato soup is a must try.

Really kind service team, particularly their sommelier - she was so sweet! Delicious olive oil selections, we ended up purchasing a bottle. We stopped in for a late snack, the caponata and tiramisu were very tasty :)

We had a lively dinner here. Ordered the Tuna tartar which had the most delicious rucola on the side and then the Filetto di Manzo with Gorgonzola which was also very tasty. The only downside was that the waiter was a little disoriented and forgot about the patate fritte but they were very nice in the end.

Had the vegetarian pizza and black truffle tagliatelle. Both were outstanding. Great value and atmosphere. Was a memorable meal!

I had the best shrimp and asparagus risotto today at this restaurant. Bruschetta pizza was excellent and black truffle pasta so so good! We've been to several restaurants here in Taormina but none were even close to how good of an experience we've had here, food and service.

Update: after second visit I have to change my rating to 5 stars! We had 3 types of pasta and each one was fantastic! Tartufo was amazing, Aetna pasta was also great. I guess the simpler the food in Italy, the better! I would definitely visit again to have another pasta! Tiramisu was also fantastic, classic, exactly what it should be!

Good but not great food. My tuna was barely warm, calamari were fried too long. The best meal was ragù. Pizza that other people got also looked and smelled quite nice. I guess the best food you can get here is the simplest one. Service was nice and quick

Seriously the best lasagne I've had anywhere in my life! That isn't something I would normally order at a restaurant, but so glad we did. We visited a few years ago (2019?) and out teenaged daughter said it was the best ever. When we visited in June 2023 we had to see if she was right. She was spot on.

This was such a lovely dinner spot! Even though it was very busy the waiter was still so kind and the food arrived very fast. The pasta and tiramisu were absolutely delicious, same for the pizza and chocolate dessert. Would highly recommend!!

Just amazing. Never tasted such a great tomato sauce in my life. Random guy next to us ordered pizza and then asked for a Ketchup 😂 reaction of the staff was hilarious. For anyone reading this - Never do that cuz you might offend an Italian.

The food there is really yummy, the staff was very nice and helpful and the location is central, you can sit and enjoy the hustle in the streets but not where people are passing by all the time at your table. We had a nice evening.

We visited this restaurant with my girlfriend as the last dinner before leaving Sicily. A typical Italian restaurant with great local food. Very pleasant service. Exactly how I imagined it! I recommend it, you won't be disappointed.

Great place! One of the few places open for an early lunch, and the food was excellent. Had Salmon Pene, spaghetti with tomatoes, and Eggplant Parmesa, all was excellent. Good spot to sit and view people passing by. Overall highly recommended.

Very delicious food! The fish was very fresh and the pasta was tasty. The service is also very good! I can recommend the restaurant!

I don't understand how you can rate this restaurant less than 5 stars. Seafood is cooked to perfection, the mixed grill was out of this world and the seafood pasta I had on my previous visit was again exceptional fresh and cooked perfectly. Service is just right with the right amount of friendliness whilst not being intrusive. Chef knows what they are doing, perfect seasoning and sword fish was moist rather than being like cardboard. I will be back next time I visit. Prices are fantastic value considering the quality you get.
