Caravella restaurant & beach club

A semi-private beach, a full service bar, cold beer and delicious food from an extensive menu: what more could one ask for.

We stayed at the Airbnb across the street so La Caravella was our go-to spot for drinks, food, and beach access. €15 per day to rent a beach chair, can place orders from your chair. The food and staff are amazing! Julio, Rosario, and owner Dominic are super hospitable and we had a great time getting to know them. Highly recommend!

Excellent service. Taxi collected us from the hotel...very punctual... and had sunbed and umbrella plus towels and use of facilities..shower, toilets and changing rooms all for €23 each. Ate at the lido and food and cocktails were reasonably priced. Very nice staff. Taxi back to hotel included in the price too.

This is a black volcanic shingle beach but the sea is friendly and swimming and wading are possible and pleasant. Views are lovely. Don't let the beach description put you off either it's fine. Beach is private and used exclusively by a selected number of hotels including Continental where I stayed and can highly recommend. The beach bar here is excellent. I am Coeliac with nut intolerance as well and I still ate well here and the food was delicious. Fish here is plentiful and very tasty. I thoroughly recommend it. Risotto is a good choice too but don't go for a pasta option. The cocktails are also generous and boozy. The sunbeds used are a design I'd not seen before with a flipped head rest that triples as a tray and sunshade as well. There are also beach umbrellas available, reasonable in hire price and effective. It's a good value for money place to spend a day with all you need including showers and changing rooms all provided.

Great food, great service, beautiful beach. Went two days in a row, totally recommend. They offer Pick Up and drop Off included with the sundbeds

We had a wonderful time, arranged by Domenic. Great Service with lunch, shuttle back and forth from Taormina to the beach and also sunbeds. Good food, good service and a lovely day at a calm beach

Have been coming to Lido Caravella for three years in a row and they have never disappointed! Very nice clear water, comfortable beds, smooth service and staff that makes you feel part of the family. Strongly recommend for a day at the beach with delicious cocktails!

A modest menu but with good food. Staff is friendly and professional (quick). Location is near the sea and during flow (high tide) the deck is even above the water. Great view over the bay and the sea. On a clear day you will see the main land in the distance. Toilets are clean and there is an option to shower and or wash the sand from your feet when you enter from the beach.

We spent a few days here while staying in Taormina. They provide free shuttles to and from the town. The staff are so lovely and friendly, they really looked after us! A great place to spend the day, enjoying the sun with great views and lovely food.

We rented chairs on the beach and ordered drinks and food. We also rented a kayak for an hour. The food was very good and the staff was very helpful and friendly. This is a great alternative to the crowded beaches at Isolabella and Mozzaro. The landscape was beautiful and the beach wasn’t too crowded to swim. The rental fee for the chairs was 25€ each in June

Wonderful beach club! Best spaghetti vongole I've ever eaten. Fantastic service from great and fun staff! Try their home made limoncello made from oranges.

Lovely! My fave beach club I went to in all of Sicily. The water is so nice and I really liked being able to walk into the water rather than the ladders at some places. The people were so nice here and the food / drinks were delish. I’d come here a million times again!

We had organised transfer from our hotel which was very comfortable.
The beach is clean, they serve drinks to your sunbed but there is a nice terrace with fresh fish and the staff is very kind.
Highly recommended!

Excellent beach club in Taormina. Friendly, attentive staff serve a wide variety of drinks and fresh, delicious food on the beach and in their beach-front restaurant. The establishment is clean and safety measures are adhered to. They offer a shuttle service to all hotels in Taormina. It's 20 euros per person for the return shuttle service plus beach chairs and a parasol.

The best Lido in Taormina. They offer a free pickup service in town and drive you home. Food is great, service on the beach is good, they can fix anything from towels to boat excursions. Less rocky than a lot of the other beaches in the area
