Update: We've been here a few times now in our short stay and now consider it our favorite restaurant in Italy. The food is so inventive, true to the region, and the bread continues to change and showcase exceptional skill.
This magical restaurant is a popular local spot and was right next to our B&B so it made sense to check it out. Wow! This is some of the best food we've had in Italy. The bread alone is 5 stars. Loved the foccacia variety, homemade ravioli, and wife fell in love with the gnocchi & rabbit sauce. Pate was delicious and beautifully plated. The octopus and fava bean purée with cheese was next level genius. So tender and perfectly balanced.
Panna cotta was the perfect ending. Staff were all so great and attentive. This is a wonderful place that should be enjoyed by all that are near Sarzana.

I have eaten here twice for dinner. It is a popular local restaurant, plenty of variety on offer. Great foccacia and other main dishes. Staff are kind and efficient.

Wd had lunch here. Comprised of antipasti, ravioli stuffed with zucchini flowers, salad, coffee and wine.
Osterias have more focus on local food and wine, and this one is no exception.
It is set in a small, narrow Piazza alongside a church.
You can eat inside or outside, where they have a covered dining area that can be retracted when it is not raining and comfortable.

This is now one of my favourite restaurants in Sarzanna and we will definitely be going back. The service was exemplary. The staff absolutely lovely and the food was superb. Everything was perfect. We chose to eat inside but outside is just as nice. We had a lovely 3 course light lunch with our family. We also had our two dogs with us who always sit quietly under the table. The owner of the restaurant complimented us on how well behaved they were. We are just so happy to be able to take them with us. A completely positive experience. Thank you 😊

The focaccie were amazing, and really good if you want to share something with friends. We had one with seefood, bacala, and eggplants. After that ravioli, tuna and calamari. They are also very fast to prepare and kind. Be sure to book a place in advance. Its the second time we come here and we are very happy.

First time in Sarzana and I'm glad I tried this restaurant. Tried the testaroli and it was amazing! Will definitely go back again!

Great little jewel in Sarzana. We booked rooms in their mini boutique hotel and it was simply fantastic. The service, the attention for detail, the friendliness of their staff… all top notch! Be prepared to walk the couple of hundred meters to the hotel/Osterhase, as it is in the pedestrian zone of Sarzana. Highly recommended!

If you want to enjoy some really authentic and traditional local food, then this is the place be. The food was awesome, service very nice. The place itself feels and looks like an old cellar and creates a wonderful relaxing atmosphere.

Great service! We can't speek italien, so the daughter was our Interpreter . 🤣 Perfecto!

Carina osteria con la possibilità per un celiaco di mangiare praticamente tutto! Dalle focacce ai primi con pasta fatta in casa, ai dolci. Veramente ottimi.

Consigliati e fortemente raccomandati i testaroli all’olio e al formaggio (per chi lo gradisse, c’è la versione al pesto). Buone anche le focacce. Personale gentile e accogliente. Ottimo il rapporto qualità prezzo.

Mi è piaciuta molto la location, i cibi che abbiamo ordinato, quasi tutti diversi, erano tutti molto buoni e curati: focacce farcite, tagliata, battuta di manzo, pasta con il pesce... Il personale gentile, buono il rapporto qualità prezzo, quindi lo consiglio!

Abbiamo pranzato una sola volta in questo ristorante nel centro storico di Sarzana ma ci ha entusiasmato!Il locale è davvero carino, arredato bene, ordinato pulito, frequentato sia da gente del posto, sia da turisti.La focaccia STREPITOSA!!! Forse la più buona che io abbia finora mangiato in Liguria( peccato abitare distanti!).In genere sono sempre unte invece questa è fragrante e leggera. Si può scegliere tra alcune varianti sia di impasto che di ripieno, come alternativa ci sono comunque altri piatti. Presa anche una d’asporto da mangiare per cena ed era buonissima anche dopo alcune ore. Ottimo anche il dessert.Il personale era davvero simpatico(credo sia a conduzione familiare). La ragazza che ci ha servito, si dava un gran da fare senza mai perdere gentilezza e sorriso. Che dire: COMPLIMENTI!

Era tardi , abbiamo chiamato e ci hanno fatto venire comunque, poi il cibo è molto buono, dalle focacce fatte da loro alla pasta fatta in casa per non parlare dei salumi strepitosi. Poi sono stati gentilissimi visto che era tardi a farci spengere le candeline e farle portare a mio figlio piccolo.

Ottimo pranzo Pasqua. Tornati dopo un po di tempo, si è rivelata una buona conferma. Il locale trasformato ma la "bontà" è stata mantenuta. Bravi ottimo lavoro!
