Rifugio Citelli

Just came here for a drink during our drive around the Edna and honestly it did not disappoint! The owner was super friendly and seemed relaxed and happy in life, no wonder if you live here. The views were breathtaking, the quiet and peacefulness was just amazing. Don't skip if you are on the Edna, you will not be disappointed!

The rooms are sparce, but just what you need if you are concentrating on hiking on the mountain. The food is very good. We stayed for two nights. Comes with typical Italian breakfast( breads, jams, sweets, coffee and juice). The lunch/dinner menu changes daily and had some really nice offerings. The veal wrapped in lemon leaves was especially good. Also, the night view of Etna is awesome. It is currently putting on quite a show.
I would highly recommend if you are wanting to explore a bit of Etna.

A beautiful mountain hut with great hospitality. Also possible to stay over night in the camper van on the big parking lot. A few meters down the road there is a nice path which is perfect to experience the volcanic landscape also with kids.

A place very well located to start your Mount Etna trekking. The food there is good for the place. The interior is cosy. People working there are nice and helpful. Service is good. Get recharged here and restart your Etna adventure. There is a toilet inside that is free to use for customers. They also provide maps and guide service if you need. Also equipment for trekking and playing in snow. Overall nice.

Great place with great views. A nice starting point for hiking around Etna - unfortunalely it's closed during fall / winter.

Wonderful view, excellent food and service. Rifugio Citelli is a perfect starting point for beautiful hikes on the north-east side of the Etna

One of the best view of the East coast, very good location and accomodation for short stays, 1744m over the sea level, numerous paths to discover the beautiful east woods

The place is perfect for staying up at the Etna.Rooms are clean, the food is great and the staff friendly and ready to serve and to give advice for things to do around.

Had a great lunch with local specialties. The view towards the sea is nice as well.
