Villa Romana del Tellaro

This is not as extensive as the villa Romana Casale but a number of mosaics are really great work of art and worth seeing. And it's more relaxed than Casale.

Fascinating to think that there was a massive temple with mosaic flooring of this quality over 2000 years ago. It’s small but cool and if you like history, it’s worth a stroll through.

A very small site with just a few mosaics. They’re interesting and make for a good stop while driving through the south of Sicily.

I've never seen mosaics so well conserved. Absolutely stunning, I couldn't recommend them more

I'm not sure why this villa doesn't get all 5 star reviews. The mosaics are exquisite, some of the best we've seen. There's only really 3 of them and the remains of the villa aren't really worth seeing, but you've come for the mosaics and wow!

It's a nice and hidden place on the way to San Lorenzo and Marzamemi, which hides beautiful Roman mosaics. I would suggest to stop by if you have time before going to the sea!

Een bijzondere plek als men dankt dat hier een boerderij moet zijn en tijdens het werk een villa uit romeinse tijden met fantastische mozaïek ontdekt was. De eigenaar van de boerderij wilde mozaïeken op de markt verkopen en gelukkig de belasting diens hem gepakt. Zo kunnen wij hun bewonderen. Natuurlijk voor entree moet betaald worden. Ik wil niet over de prijs schrijven. Er is mij wel waard geweest afgezien dat zo een juweeltje in de pampa ligt.

Il biglietto di ingresso è di 8€. La visita è libera, ma all'interno della villa ci sono diverse didascalie e poster con la storia del luogo e del ritrovamento dei mosaici. I mosaici sono molto belli, grandi e in buono stato. Ne vale la pena. Il giro dura mezz'ora.

Des mosaïques d’une beauté rare qui valent le coup d’être regardées avec l’attention et le respect qu’elle méritent. Les ombrages, les détails, les couleurs, les motifs, leur utilisation et notre imagination. 6 euros pour des vestiges inestimables.

Villa e storia del ritrovamento interessante. Mosaici da preservare con maggiore cura. Il personale alla biglietteria è stato molto gentile e disponibile ad accompagnarmi nel percorso e a darmi anche notizie che non avrei trovato scritte.

Luogo nascosto ed inaspettato, doverosa la visita dei luoghi carichi di storia che ci circondano e che colpevolmente ignoriamo. Bellissimi mosaici testimonianza della magnificenza di questa antica villa fanno viaggiare la mente ad epoche andate. Ci si sofferma a cercare di immaginare come dovevano essere un tempo questi luoghi, circondati da una natura selvaggia ed a pochi passi da un mare meraviglioso ed incontaminato, bellezze naturali ormai prese sempre più d'assalto dal turismo di massa

La villa es pequeñita pero tiene unos mosaicos muy bonitos, en especial un mosaico figurativo en el que se ven animales y personas realizando diferentes tareas. El precio (8 euros) me parece excesivo.

Bellissima vista sul mare molto panoramico, con una attenzione di pochi passi si raggiunge la fine della scogliera da vedere.
