I'll start with the positives. The villa is in a really great location! Close to the beautiful beaches. On the nearby one where - thanks to the host's courtesy - we had two sunbeds and an umbrella at our disposal which was really great! The beach is about 300m on a fairly steep asphalt road. There is also a walking distance to the famous Michelino Beach - about 600m. It’s also very close to the center of Parghelia where you’ll easily find everything you need, pharmacy, restaurants, shops etc.

The house itself was really nice and very clean. There is an equipped kitchen, TV, good internet connection and a terrace. The bedrooms are upstairs and were quite comfortable for us - with balconies and a very nice sea view. As mentioned in the comments below, the host is kind and available to guests. He speaks German quite well and probably a little Russian. Unfortunately, it's a bit hard to communicate in English, but you can always help yourself with google translator 😉.

As for the negatives - the apartment would definitely need renovation. The shower for example is really tiny - a person with a height of 175cm has to reckon with the fact that he will shower with plastic curtains glued to the back. There was a lack of hot water a few times, which was bearable because the temperature outside was very high.

There was an additional fee for the washing machine, which is absurd to me (I must add that our washing machine was broken and unfortunately it was not repaired until the end of our stay) it was very inconvenient for us. An additional fee is also charged for access to air conditioning ... There were several solutions in the house, which were uncool - such as the screws protruding from the side of the stairs (visible in the added photos), which my wife injured her leg. It should be definitely secured. I hope that the inconveniences I wrote about, will motivate the host to carry out the necessary renovations and improve the house, because as I mentioned, the place itself is perfect!

Ps. we hit a very high temperatures first 3 days and to our surprise there were a lot of fires around the city 😱 As we later found out this is normal in Calabria at this time of year and the villa is absolutely safe. But the sight of the hills around the town burning at night and day was quite stressful and apocalyptic. It is worth clearly informing guests that they are safe, and the local fire brigade simply does not put fire out until they approach close to the city. The situation calmed down after two days and there were no major fires for the rest of the stay.

you need to know that all my comments are purely constructive and I have given you a rating of 5/5. Regarding our departure at 5 am... the day before I informed you about our early departure (we also settled the deposit at that time - you could always check the cleanliness of the rooms and give us comments or charge when there was still time to do it). I also asked where to leave the key and we also officially said goodbye - so I don't understand your complaint. I have no influence on the flight schedule at Lamezia Terme airport - we had an early departure and we still had to return the car to the rental company - I don't think I have to explain this to anyone in any hotel/guest house. Another thing is cleaning - you charge for cleaning and I didn't know that we have to leave the house perfectly clean. We didn't damage anything, we just left garbage bags and the floor uncleaned. We left liquid soap, toilet paper, a new pack of washing capsules (which will certainly be useful to the next guests) and food in the fridge that we couldn't take with us, and we didn't want to throw it away, because everything was fresh and originally packed. To sum up - I think that we would have avoided all these comments and problems if there were not a communication barrier and if the contract and house rules were in English. Very nice apartment in a small village Parghelia situated just few minutes from Tropea. Apartment has a kitchen with living area, toilet and terrace in the ground floor and two bedrooms with two balconies (one with sea view) and bathroom in the first floor. The host Vincenzo is a very nice person, extremely helpful and welcoming. The beach (literally the most beautiful beach in the area) is few minutes walk downhill with few steps. There were two sunbeds and an umbrella reserved for us for the whole one-month stay. We stayed with a kid and a baby and were highly satisfied.

Oberhalb des schönsten Strandes von Parghelia liegen in einer Privatstrasse mit eigenen Parkplätzen, zwei Balkonen und zwei Terrassen die Villini Macri. Der Balkon in der ersten Etage bietet einen schönen Meerblick und auf der rückseitigen Terrasse kann man im Schatten entspannen, lesen, grillen oder einfach nur den Tag oder den Abend genießen. Den Privatstrand erreicht man zu Fuß steil bergab und findet dort zwischen Felsen, Sand und Kies einen Sonnenschirm und zwei Liegen, die für den gesamten Aufenthalt kostenlos zur Verfügung stehen. Wer möchte, kann den Strand entlang bis nach Tropea laufen. Gastgeber Enzo ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und jederzeit ansprechbar. Wir haben uns dort eine Woche lang sehr wohl gefühlt.

Villino molto bello con tutto il necessario, due piani, vista sul mare, parcheggio personale e un comodo patio esterno. Situato a solo un minuto a piedi da una bellissima spiaggia. Il borgo di Tropea è a solo 5 minuti di macchina e il villino è in una zona silenziosa e immersa nel verde. I proprietari sono delle persone gentilissime e sempre disponibili. Consigliatissimo, torneremo ;)

Soggiorno favoloso in un angolo di paradiso. Il mare è stupendo e i villini sono in cima ad una discesa che porta diritto alla spiaggia. I villini sono ben attrezzati. Ma la cosa che spicca di più è l'accoglienza e la generosità di Enzo. Grazie delle numerosi attenzioni e di aver reso il nostro soggiorno indimenticabile!

Villini molto confortevoli, pratici e puliti, posizione strategica, accoglienza ottima,il sig. Macrí discreto e sempre disponibile ai consigli. Accesso diretto alla spiaggia privata.

il Sig.Enzo è stato molto cortese, accogliente e disponibile. Il villino era confortevole non mancava nulla per andare al mare c'è una piccola discesa un pochino faticosa per la risalita ma fattibile. I miei ragazzi andavano a piedi in centro Parghelia e a Tropea. Il mare è bellissimo
