Hotel Castell

Hotel Castell is the hotel in Limone that offers the best lake views. Beautiful, picturesque views of the lake from your room, dining area, and the pool. The management has changed a few times over the years each with a few problems but overall a really reliable and enjoyable experience. Reaching the hotel is very easy but parking can be limited so bare this in mind. Once you enter, the decor is slightly dated but still pleasant, and always welcomed by a friendly face. Checking in is easy and straightforward. The bar is great for evening drinks and you can even take drinks from the bar down to the pool, or to your room. The lift is accessible but sometimes has issues, but the stairs can be quite a challenge for someone who isn't the fittest (as there are lots of them!). The hotel is built into the mountain, giving you a really unique experience in the hallways. The rooms are a great size, and affordable, but have increased in price slightly. Again, slightly dated, but no issues of insects or anything like that - always clean and pleasant. The rooms have the basics you need, and the views are stunning of course. You get a lovely little balcony which is great for evening drinks and a few games.

The food is a bit hit and miss - not really the best so I can't fully recommend it. If you're looking for a place to stay with nicer food, your best bet is the Splendid - or just eating out in town.

The pool is beautiful and has umbrellas for shade. The table tennis table was really good by the pool but I believe it's no longer there (which is a shame!) There are also vending machines to get snacks by the pool, as well as toilets.

Overall, always a pleasant stay, and never get bored of Limone as it's such a beautiful place to visit.

Amazing view to Lake Garda from the hotel room window and balcony. The pool area is very lovely with the surrounding garden. And the walk down to the old town takes only a few minutes. A place to go back to!

Million dollar views in every direction at a fraction of the cost! We had a large room for our family with bunk beds, portable crib and nice size furnished balcony. The views from our balcony and the pool were incredible! The room was modest in decor but immaculately clean. The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. Great free parking and buffet breakfast. We loved our stay and definitely recommend this hotel.

Cozy little hotel with charming staff, a great breakfast buffet and perfectly located to explore Limone sul Garda. We had a room with direct lake view, which was awesome. The interieur is ok and you have everything you need for a reasonable price. We loved the possibility to walk feom the hotel down to the city center. The pool is clean and also has a nice panoramic view. Absolutely great choice for a long weekend. 😊

Location is perfect assuming you don't mind climbing steps. Staff is great, especially Jessica. Breakfast is much above Italian standards. View is outstanding. Parking is free, but not on-site so not so convenient. Beautiful swimming pool. I'll stay there every time I visit Limone.

Loved it loved it loved it. Limone is called the honey pot of Lake Garda and is stunningly beautiful - will definitely be returning. Hotel Castell was a warm home from home and a perfect location with truly mind boggling views across the lakes and mountains - I've travelled a fair bit and been to Italy a few times but Limone is special and is now my new favourite place on this planet. Bellissimo.

Second visit here from the UK. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are very clean tidy and cater to our needs. Pool and views are excellent. Will be back again!

Goed hotel met zeer goede prijs-kwaliteitsverhouding
Kamers zijn en beetje aan vernieuwing toe en je moet hopen dat je geen luidruchtige buren hebt maar dit is in alle hotels. Vind persoonlijk dat alle hotels een policy moeten hebben dat het na 22u rustig moet zijn... Niet iedereen schijnt rekening te houden dat er zich nog andere gasten in het hotel bevinden... Maar al bij al een aan te raden hotel.
Ontbijt is het beste wat we tijdens onze rondreis hebben gehad, niets dan goed over te vertellen. Uitgebreide keuze, vriendelijke bediening,... En dat met een prachtzicht op het Gardameer! Je bent op enkele minuten te voet in het gezellige centrum van limone. Let wel dat je hiervoor wat trappen moet doen. Bijgeboekte parking is aan te bevelen, zeer praktisch. Rustige ruimte aan het zwembad met voldoende ligbedjes. Personeel zowel balie, ontbijtruimte, kuispersoneel,... allemaal vriendelijk, behulpzaam en meertalig (Duits, Engels, Italiaans,...) We hopen ooit nog terug te kunnen komen naar dit prachtige stadje en het fijne hotel!

Zimmer, Bad & Pool sind sauber. Der Fernseher ist, wenn man so etwas im Urlaub braucht sehr klein.
Der Hotelpool ist sauber und gepflegt. Die Liegen werden leider auch bei längerem Fortbleiben der Urlauber von denen weiterhin belegt.
Das Frühstück ist über dem Standart und auch hier ist das Personal sehr freundlich.
Vor dem Hotel sind Parkplätze, diese sollte man aber schon vorher reservieren. Ca 300 Meter entfernt gibt es ein Parkhaus, dort kann man mit Hotel Anmeldung und Chipcarte preiswert parken. Man kommt über eine Treppe zum Hotel.
Auf dem Weg vom Parkhaus zum Hotel geht man direkt durch die malerische Innenstadt. Der Strand ist vom Parkhaus in die andere Richtung ca. 200 Meter entfernt.

Hier stimmt einfach alles, die Lage, der Service, das Zimmer, das Frühstück und die Aussicht. Das Hotel liegt an der Gardaseestrasse direkt am Ortseingang von Limone zwischen 2 kurzen Tunneln. Die Parkplätze am Hotel sind limitiert und kosten 16€. Wir haben unten an der Promenade in der Parkgarage geparkt, was über das Hotel 5€ / Tag kostet. Vom Hotel ins Zentrum kommt man über einen schmalen Weg mit Treppen.
An der Rezeption spricht man auch deutsch. Hier noch mal vielen Dank an Peter, der uns mit vielen Tipps versorgt hat. Die Zimmer sind sauber und geräumig, der Ausblick ist unbezahlbar. Das Frühstück ist abwechslungsreich und frisch.
Alles in allem ein rundum gelungener Aufenthalt.
