Ristorante Il Fellini

We met the owner and absolutely loved the food. He spoke English, and the menu is written in Italian and English. This restaurant also has gluten-free options, which was important for my mother. She said the gluten-free bread was delightfully refreshing. The pork tenderloin was very good and melted in your mouth. The salmon was cooked just right and definitely was fresh. The Creme Brule was made with orange and cinnamon, and it was very tasty.

We went right after opening on a weekday, the waiter / front manager greeted us. Aftwr we ordered, he gave us (2 persons) a hefty load of foccacia and bread that were amazing.

I ordered the carbonara, octopus secondi and Danish Beef secondi. All were very good. The carbonara was a BIG portion whoch was made with authentic yolk/pecorino sauce and crispy guanciale to top. The octopus and beef was served about 10 minutes after the carbonara. The beef was cooked well medium and the octopus was cooked beautifully (not too tough or slimy).

Overall, great service and food. The wait time was worth it (about 10-15 minutes for primi and secondi each). Would come again.

Had an enjoyable dinner at Il Fellini. The food was excellent, atmosphere was casual and a bit eclectic, and the service was first rate.

The first good sign was they were busy at 8pm on a Tuesday with a good amount of local customers. By 9pm, there were no tables available.

Atmosphere: Comfortably casual with large pictures of famous Italian stars adorning the walls. I could only recognize Sophia Lauren, Monica Vitti and Maria Callas.

Food: We had the carpaccio salad which was a healthy portion with mixed greens and shaved parmesan on top. For the pastas we tried the vongole with spaghetti and Ox-tail with a very thin pasta (not angel hair though). Both were nicely done and not overly salted like how they are usually found in the US. For carne, we shared the veal Saltimbocca. This was the highlight of the evening. The veal was nice and tender and the sauce was spot on and again not overpowering.

Service: very attentive and the owner was also very interactive with all the guests.

Overall a wonderful place I would highly recommend.

An excellent restaurant off the touristy paths which is a relief considering how many bad restaurants there are in Rome. Here you are welcomed by a charming staff really caring about you. The cuisine is superb and the prices fair. Their tiramisu is to die for!

We ate here twice in our trip to Rome. Excellent food and wine reasonably priced in a great environment. It happened to be close to our hotel but I would travel in the future as it’s a lovely place to eat.

We spent our first year anniversary in rome and we randomly picked this Italian restaurant based on rate and reviews. Our first dinner.. and it was amazing really exquisite and delish! I recommend this restaurant no wonder it was full that night keep up the good work guys.

Best place we've been to in Rome! Everything was delicious, from the food, the wine, to even the olive oil next to the bread, and the hospitality was divine. Hoping to visit again some day!

The best dining experience in Rome! The service was excellent; everyone was so welcoming and friendly. We didn’t have a reservation on a fully booked night, and they gave us a table in 20 minutes. The food was exceptional. Every course we ordered was so so so tasty. The Pecorino wine was perfect as well. And and and the best Tiramisu eveeeer. A restaurant I’ll visit on every trip to Rome. ❤

It's a great restaurant with a relaxing environment and great service. The host and his staff were very attentive. The food was both tasteful and beautifully presented.. I had the artichoke salad and the carbonara with truffles. My companion, who is vegetarian, also had the salad along with a peppered pasta. The menu was quite extensive. The decor is visible in other's posts...a tribute to Fellini and those in his world presented in black and white. Good food, good atmosphere, good people..a perfect dinner.

Must do! Such a great experience. We didn’t have reservations and they were busy but still able to get us in right away. I totally left my wine and meal up to the server’s suggestions. He made all the right choices and made us feel so special. I highly recommend having dinner here…even if you have to travel a bit.

If you are GREETED with CANIO and Nisreen it’s your lucky day .. Canio is BEST OF THE BEST .he can teach lessons to GREAT SERVICE..

We found this gem by accident while in Rome. I cannot say enough positive things about this establishment. The wait staff was wonderful. They were so patient & helpful.
We ordered the four course meal. The food was beyond amazing!! Each course was better than the previous. With all of the food they didn't rush the food out nor did they try to hurry us along. Everything was perfect.

Do not pass this place up when in Rome!!

Best meal I had in Rome. Artichoke flan, homemade ravioli filled with duck, buttered spinach, chocolate lava cake, cheesecake with caramel, best Chardonnay I’ve ever had. So good, I went back the next night and ordered the same meal. Manager speaks English and is happy to make suggestions. Very talented chef from Rome. Make a reservation as it was very full both nights. Delightful!

On my first day in Rome, I accidentally found this restaurant. There are good restaurants, and then there is Il Fellini. This is the best restaurant I've experienced since arriving in Italy 10 days ago. From the beef carpachio/ ham and mazarrela appetizers, to the pasta first courses, to the filet and salmon second courses, it was amazing! The flavors exploded in our mouths. Everything so fresh and delicious! What a great visit. Our server was so friendly and engaging, plus he's a Boston Celtics fan. The bar is now set very high for the rest of my visit in Rome. A definite recommend!

Loved this restaurant. It's set a few blocks from all the tourist areas so great atmosphere. I think the owner was the one that sat us and took care of us, whoever he was he was a great guy. Service was impeccable, was with a party of 5 (with some picky eaters) and everyone loved their food, it was absolutely delicious! Prices were extremely reasonable. It was the best place we ate in Rome and I could not recommend this restaurant more! If I'm ever back in Rome I will definitely be eating here again.
