Excellent staff; Ada , Charlie, GP at the front desk and Sam (and team) in the restaurant could not have been more helpful or efficient ; dealing with numerous requests with both good humour and expediency.

We have staid at Villa Angela from 16/9/2023 to 24/09/2023 and were completely overwhelmed. The staff is superfriendly and literally knows your wish before it is expressed. Lunch is offered in the restaurant (breakfast room) with a stunning view on the Mediterranean Sea. For diner the hotel offers superdelicious sandwiches and salads which we have enjoyed several times. The rooms are highclass and have a huge terrace. Breakfast selection is huge and very delicious. Situated approximately 200m above Taormina with a brilliant view onto Mediterranean Sea and underneath a well known church. The staff cannot be beaten in kindness and one feels like staying with family. We will for sure return and can highly recommend this place with 200%.

My daughter and I stayed here at the end of October 2023 for a special birthday treat. We had not been to Sicily before and we were looking at several hotels but for some reason we were drawn to Hotel Villa Angela. We made the right choice! The rooms are decorated in typical Sicilian style, the beds were clean and comfortable, there is a kettle with tea/coffee provided in the room (very important for Brits!), the entire hotel was immaculate and spotlessly clean, the breakfast was varied and very well presented (non dairy milk was provided as requested), the staff were all very friendly/helpful and could not do enough for you, the area was peaceful and the view from the balcony simply took our breath away. The hotel lays on a shuttle service (around 5 Euro) to take you up and down to central Taormina, if you don't want to walk. The holiday surpassed our expectations - the people, the fruit trees, the colours of the flowers, the scenery, Mount Etna dominating the horizon and of course Hotel Villa Angela being our home base. We did not want to leave! Taking the words from a certain song from the 80's, we won't forget about you...

This is our second stay at Villa Angela. Both times we have visited in late October and the weather has been great - around 25C and no rain despite what the BBC weather app claims.

All staff are very friendly and are always happy to help with our many questions.

We were really pleased to meet Jim on Wednesday and he was happy to spend a few minutes chatting with us.

Views of Etna and the sea from Villa Angela are amazing, going to enjoy this for the next few days before we return to normality!

Fantastic hotel in a beautiful location. Really beautiful quality rooms and bathrooms with large balconies overlooking Mt Etna. Staff were lovely and gave us some prosecco and nibbles to celebrate an occasion. Food was very good, breakfast and lunch. Great pool which was nice to swim in. Handy shuttle service to the town. Overall great experience. Would love to go back.

Fantastic experience - This review is a little late but as they say “better late than never”
We were there for 7 nights in later June. From the pick up at the airport to our last days there we had a great stay. Amazing staff, sparkling clean, the boutique hotel was just the perfect size for us. The views were incredible, sea views from everywhere, Mount Etna puffing away right in front of you every day, the rooms were spacious, the service was great - the entire staff were engaged, after a couple of days they would recall your room number when ordering, they were happy (in-spite I’d the hot temperatures). The front desk team always cheery and helpful. The van service to and from town center was a great benefit. Always on time. The pool was very relaxing and sparking clean. The food and drinks were also really good. Breakfast choices were plentiful, fresh and their lunch choices were delicious (I tried each of them during our stay). Katherine was very accommodating in helping to coordinate tours and recommendations on restaurants. (I would recommend the Gambino wine tour.)
You won’t be disappointed staying here. Very adult friendly, there were very few children during our stay which we preferred. We will definitely return and highly recommend staying here.

We had a wonderful time at Villa Angela and the team made us feel like vip’s at all times! A special thanks to Ada for making us feel so welcome and providing a real personal touch in accommodating our every need throughout our stay. She also has an amazingly calming voice that I could imagine would relax even the most uptight of personalities!
A special shout out to Sam and Luigi as well, really friendly guys and so helpful and polite!
We stayed in the Leonardo Suite and it was spacious and comfortable with an awesome view of Mt Etna from the balcony and the bedroom window.
As other reviewers have said, it’s a long walk if you went down to local shops and a killer (for us anyway) walking back up! We only made that mistake once btw 😊
We had dinner at the Al Saraceno restaurant which was just a short (but steep) walk from hotel. Food was excellent and a fantastic view of Taormina and Etna as the sun sets!

Best hotel ever! I can with my friend and we stayed one night Aug 14 and we spent an amazing night here! We had some issues with our flight and missed one night and the hotel didn’t charge us for that night. Everyone working there was very kind and accommodating. Highly recommend!!

My oh my, words can’t express how happy we are to have found Villa Angela. We stayed with our toddler and nanny, and the family room was heaven: the deep bath, the two balconies, the lovely foyer, the incredible views, the restaurant, the pool, the hospitality, the shuttle service. Every detail is thought of. We visited the downhill part of Taormina 10 years ago and felt underwhelmed…BUT uphill, where Villa Angela is situated is absolutely stunning. It’s like another world, far away from the madness, but easily accessible via the shuttle and the walking path.

Fantastic experience here. From check in to check out, the staff have all been wonderful with nothing being too much trouble. Lovely rooms, clean and with a fantastic view. Shuttle to town was amazing. Would definitely recommend.

Overlooking Mt Etna and the surrounding countryside, this hotel is a gem. It is full of Italian charm. Our room was spacious with a balcony.
Breakfast was a buffet with plenty to choose from. We found the staff very efficient and helpful. Great to have the shuttle service into Taormina. Would definitely stay here again.

Cannot fault this place, from Reception through to the kitchen staff, cleaning and outside staff. The views are beautiful. The food and service over all excellent. Rooms are airy and very clean. Lovely place to visit.

An unbeatable view for your stay in scenic rooms. Ours featured a partitioned terrace that provided the right balance of privacy and common viewing. The staff are really lovely and made us feel welcome everytime we came through the door.

The location is really accessible by vehicle and the nearby stairs provide you the option to walk - it's not bad if you're on the younger/fitter side but shuttles are also an option.

We didn't have time to enjoy it, but there's a nice pool and terrace to relax. The view of Mt Etna (and easy access to guided tours) is why we chose this place for part of our honeymoon stay in Sicily and it was worth it! 👌

We loved Villa Angela. Set in the middle of Taormina Hill with picturesque setting of Etna, Giardini Naxos and Castelmola.
Spotless rooms, friendly staff... especially the manager Charles who speaks Maltese! Breakfast is delicious and the hotel shuttle service is efficient!
Will recommend. It was a pleasant stay.

Wow! The Villa Angela is a Stunning Haven of Relaxation set high up on The Taormina Hillside. After meeting Jim owner and Legend of the Best Band in The World a few days earlier, we gladly accepted his invitation and returned for a drink to this Beautiful Hotel. The Staff are Absolutely Amazing especially Gianpaolo who looked after us, so friendly and warm. The hotel is Luxurious, Spotless, Comfortable and has the most Spectacular View of Etna and Taormina in all of Sicily. Thank you Jim and all the Staff, we cannot wait to return to this piece of Heaven on Earth.

I cant rate this hotel highly enough. Located up in the hills of Taormina, it is a jewell in Sicilys crown. Owing to pandemic we waited 3 years to finally get our holiday and we were not disappointed. The hotel is spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained with large rooms, effective air con and large balconies. The pool is lovely with enough beds for everyone. Breakfast and lunch was great (we had dinner in town every night). There is a supplementary shuttle bus back and forth to the town during the day. Its worth pointing out that you can walk but the gradient is very steep and not for the faint hearted. Above everything, the most brilliant aspect is the service. The team at VA are so friendly, proactive and helpful. They do everything for you, nothing is too much trouble. Many stopping were regular returners because of this and I can understand why. I cant recommend highly enough.

I have just returned to Taormina after the pandemic and the main reason for coming back was this hotel. When I first came here with my wife Kate and son Harry in 2019, we immediately fell in love with the hotel, the staff and the incredible position on the hillside overlooking Taormina and Mount Etna. It truly is breathtaking and Kate and I knew we would come back one day and share this experience with our mums. Covid put a pause on that plan until now but the wait made it all the sweeter. You will not find a more idyllic setting anywhere and that, combined with the effortless and genuine hospitality of the hotel staff, makes this one place I will always want to come back to.

Great hotel! Excellent service. The front desk agent remembered my two years old name and greet her every time by name. She liked. Everyone we encountered were very welcoming. The breakfast was great, a lot of variety. Loved the fresh fruit! Stunning views. I would definitely recommend to all my friends this hotel. Also the shuttle to the town was excellent!
