Podere dell'Alloro

We had a wonderful stay for 11 nights in the 2 bed early August. Our perfect hosts could not do more to make our stay better. Loved the pool. Lots of great restaurants within a short walk, two very close. Ideal.

Fantastic stay at Podere dell'Alloro. Andy and Claire are lovely hosts and always go the extra mile (we loved Andy's mushroom risotto!). This was our second stay here and we enjoyed the wonderful scenery, peace and quiet and very comfortable accommodation. The apartments are well-equipped and the great location makes it easy to eat our nearby or stock up from the local supermarket. The lovely swimming pool is a great feature when the weather is hot. Great trip - we will definitely be back!

Our stay with Andy and Clare was just amazing. The apartment we stayed in is very spacious and the view from the garden is just breath-taking. It is a great place to get away from a busy life and just relax. Clare and Andy made us feel very welcome and made sure we had a great breakfast every morning. It is very well situated in the Tuscan hills, only a 30-minute drive from the airport. There are several restaurants in the vicinity, but Clare and Andy are great cooks so you can have dinner with them as well.

We travelled to Tuscany for the first time this year and stayed at Podere dell’Alloro. The apartment was excellent, welcoming and very clean and tidy. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed for our stay. The whole feel of the apartment and outside area was relaxing and peaceful which was exactly what we were looking for. The views were also breath taking.

The owners, Andy and Clare were superb hosts. They were friendly and shared their local knowledge ensuring we fulfilled all our sightseeing requirements. Nothing was too much trouble and provided recommendations for places to eat and where the best ice cream was. A must if you’re in Tuscany we found as it’s delicious.

We were aware this was their first year accepting holiday guests and we can honestly say they went above and beyond to ensure our stay was a memorable holiday which it was and they certainly met all our expectations.

We would highly recommend staying here if you’re thinking of travelling to Tuscany and we can’t wait to return again soon. Thank you.

Pondere dell’Alloro is the classic Tuscan farmhouse to stay at to enjoy the beautiful surrounding Italian countryside near to the medieval hilltop township of Pallaia Recently restored to its former glory in great taste, it is hosted superbly by English couple Clare and Andy who went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable and memorable. We had a spacious, well equipped one bedroom ground floor apartment with an outdoor terrace with table and umbrella. Our bed was comfortable, the furniture was antique, the bathroom clean and very modern.The WiFi worked well.
The large new swimming pool is a highlight, set high for outstanding viewsFor an extra €25 pp they cooked us a delicious 3 course Italian dinner with wine which we ate with them in their farmhouse kitchen. Andy speaks fluent Italian which enables him to book visits to surrounding places of interest such as the excellent nearby restaurants and wineries. In all we had a very memorable stay Thankyou Andy and Clare

We just spent a week at Podere dell’Alloro and it was great. The place is very typical tuscan countryside and have been recently completely restored to modern and comfortable standard. All new, big nice pool with great lounge and bbq area. Ac and wifi works fine and even with two demanding teenagers 🙂
Best thing is the service and help you receive from Andy and Clare that also lives there. Perfect if you need the guidance to find all the best places to visit in the area.

We stayed with Clare and Andy for 10 days in their little bit of Italian heaven. The apartments are lovely, comfortable and completed to a high standard.
As hosts they couldn’t be more accommodating and were happy to help in anyway they could to make our trip perfect.
We’d thoroughly recommend a visit in fact we’re heading back in October

We stayed at Podere dell'alloro for 3 weeks in March/April.
We arrived as the covid lockdown started so not much was open in general.
One would think that would have made our stay boring but it was the greatest 3 weeks ever.
Our hosts Claire and Andy made sure we didn't miss out on any culinary experience by cooking dinners, baking fresh breads, brownies, buns and the list can go on.
Apart from the amazing food, Andy showed us where to buy the best wines along with other local products.
Their hospitality made us feel like home and really like visiting friends.

The apartment was very well equipped both in quality and essentials, comfortable beds and pillows.
The kitchen was a proper one with good sized fridge and plenty of space to prepare and cook.

The views around the house are breathtaking and the property is huge!
We will definitely come back in the summer to also enjoy the pool and more of the tasty food 😁

I met Andy and Clare through a mutual friend and had the pleasure of receiving hospitality from them, though I was staying elsewhere. This is a beautiful venue, which has been transformed by this hard working pair, set in marvellous surroundings. You won't be disappointed.

Great host and the place is simply amazing. The attention to the details is beyond imagination. Pictures will never do justice to this place! Highly recommended!!

Lovely place with a perfect location and the best beds I've slept in. Don't leave without trying their food. Ask for the lasagna!

Se cercate un luogo dove trascorrere dei giorni in totale tranquillità, immersi nel verde della Toscana, vicino alle città d'arte , sentendovi come a casa vostra, ecco il luogo ideale.
Un plauso particolare ai proprietari che sono delle persone squisite.

Endroit hors du temps...idéalement situé...paysages majestueux... hôtes sympathiques et disponibles...jolis appartements agréables et fonctionnels avec literie de qualité...grande piscine bien aménagée...et la lasagne d'Andy..."Podere dell'Alloro"...WHAT ELSE...???
