By far The best restaurant in town. Food, service and atmosphere! 6/5!

Beautiful place! Wonderful views of the mountains, set in a small Hamlet. Very friendly staff, innovative approach to dishes and some classic. Loved every bit of our meal and our time there. The dessert of strawberry cheesecake mousse with meringue was sublime and we normally skip dessert. But I would get it again !

Wonderful service from a lovely family team. Delicious food. Very lucky we had space on the day .. a Sunday... I would recommend normally reservation in advance. They also super sweet to allow us bring our little dog into the restaurant too.

Delicious food in a lovely and magical place. To come back for sure. You can see the kitchen and how they work. Only negative point: when we dinner there, the toilette had a problem and we prefer not to use it, all the place was wet.

We have lived in this area of Umbria for a number of years and, for some strange reason, we had never enjoyed a dinner at Serpillo until recently. We have now eaten two superb dinners there. The food is Italian/Umbrian but the Chef, Daniele, has transformed local cuisine into some wonderfully creative dishes. Our first dinner there, we split an antipasto, the Spinach creme topped with a deep fried egg and truffles. WOW, that was wonderful. We split the citrus-infused risotto dish which was topped with burrata formaggio and pistachios. We both ordered the slow-roasted duck. Now, I have to say, my wife and I have eaten all sorts of duck dishes over the years, and this had to be the best duck we've ever had. It was sublime. Dessert did not disappoint: we ordered 2: a chocolate tort with sesame chips and walnut gelatto; a tiramisu with cat-tongue cookies rather than lady fingers.
If you're ever in this part of Italy, do yourselves a favor and eat at Serpillo.

Beautiful place, excellent cuisine!

Local cuisine at its very best. Elegant simplicity, simple elegance. terrace in the alley is very cozy, or ask for a table just outside the Medieval gate for a stunning view on Assisi. Prices are very reasonable in general, and a real bargain for that location and quality of food.

On top of the excellent food, the restaurant is located in a medieval village with a beautiful view. Really lovely.

We enjoyed a delicious Sunday lunch here and particularly enjoyed the lavish antipasti buffet, including cheeses, homemade pickles, cooked dishes, salads, etc. You get two plates for 10 EUR, which we were able to split between the two of us which was a great deal. Service was extremely friendly and the setting is lovely. We will return next time we are in the area!
