La Quercia Estate

It is rare in life that a vacation destination/experience is what you can call life-changing but for me and my family staying at La Quercia estate was exactly that. We are well traveled, and came on this trip in pursuit of checking our bucket list for all of Italy’s best. Little did we expect that in hindsight our highlight would be our time spent at this villa. Even my sons (ages 20 and 24) agreed. Specifically, we all felt the cooking class was nothing short of a religious experience. These women have a gift which they share at the soul level in everything that they do - from sights, sounds and tastes. They enveloped all of our senses by sharing their beautiful appreciation of art/food and community by inviting us to share in a bonding, creative process that we didn’t expect to “feel.” We are forever grateful to have found this estate and moreover to have shared the time spent with these two inspiring women. The food was the best we tasted in all of Italy and the views are more than the eyes can take in. If you are coming to Tuscany for wine, food and beauty - you will get the best of all that here but be prepared to leave with what you might not have expected to find. For us it is a new understanding of “La Dolce Vita” which is less about chasing plans and more about living in a heightened state of presence where love and enjoyment come rushing . Margherita and Veronica will invite you to find that special place inside of you - and the entirety will leave you simply breathless. Just wow!!!!!

Simply amazing! What an incredible experience of a lifetime! Veronica and Margherita were lovely hosts who made sure every second we spent at La Quercia Estate was spectacular. Honestly, we travel all over the world and have been immersed in some pretty amazing experiences, yet this may stand out as my forever favorite. Some people only briefly enter your lives but leave a lasting impact - they certainly did just that. The love behind their cooking and hospitality was evident and I’d recommend this experience to anyone looking for an authentic Tuscan day. Even the guys in our party were also thoroughly impressed with one describing the place as “a gem.”

Margherita arranged for a car from our AirBnB in Florence, which was great. I wouldn’t have wanted to travel there any other way.

There was no rush to the day. I wouldn’t recommend planning anything afterward. We really weren’t hungry until about 9PM that night and we only wanted a light dinner after the late lunch. Do plan to wear comfortable shoes because you won’t want to sit much for fear of missing one of Veronica’s amazing tips, techniques or stories.

The most wonderful experience cooking with this Mother-Daughter duo. Their authentic story telling and cooking of Tuscan food, coupled with their love for cooking with people really shined through. I left with a full belly but also a warmed heart which I did not expect. It was beyond my expectations and I will definitely go back for another trip. There should be more people like them creating experiences like this. I wish I could give 10 stars!

Margherita made us feel welcome from the very beginning. She went above and beyond so many times during our time in Italy. She was truly amazing!

We booked a cooking class with Veronica and we absolutely loved it. She was so warm and kind and fiercely passionate about cooking. We learned so much and cooked a delicious meal together. Great teacher and amazing food!

I definitely recommend staying here if you are planning a trip to Tuscany. We cannot wait to come back for an even longer stay next time!

I had the privilege of staying at a charming farmhouse villa in the Tuscan hills and it was an unforgettable experience. The villa exudes authentic charm and attention to detail, with a beautifully rustic interior. The kitchen offers delicious and traditional Tuscan cuisine. The meticulously maintained exterior, with stunning gardens and scenic views, adds to the overall charm.

We were a group of 6 and did a market tour and cooking class with Veronica and Margherita. Everything was fabulous from start to finish! We learned so much by walking through the market and were able to make ingredient choices about what looked great that day. Cooking was very relaxed. We all took turns in different areas, while enjoying small bites and wine, finished with a delicious meal in a picturesque setting. The cooking studio and grounds are stunning! At the end of 10 days all 6 of us put it as a top experience of our trip. We all hope to come back and next time stay in the villa! Huge thanks to Veronica and Margherita for being amazing hosts and teachers!!!

La Quercia and its people are incredible.

Not only is the estate picturesque on a Tuscan hillside with its own private vineyard, the owners pour their soul into the service of guests. What you experience here cannot be found somewhere else.

For anyone considering Italy, I recommend starting with a week or more at this place. Even if you don’t stay at the Villa, the cooking class they host is such a joy.

When I get home and share about my trip, the first thing I’ll be sharing is how much I enjoyed my time at La Quercia. It’s more than worth any resources you put toward it.

It is absolutely worth any traveler's time to take a cooking class with Veronica at La Quercia, even if you aren't staying at the estate. We booked a class here during our trip to Florence. La Quercia is easy to reach from the city - Margherita from La Quercia helped us arrange transport, and one member of our group who joined us later came by cab.

Even if you already know your way around the kitchen, there is so much to learn from Veronica. She incorporates so many fresh herbs and fruits and vegetables that grow on the property. Her techniques make all the ingredients shine. The kitchen smelled amazing all day. When we sat down to enjoy our creations, the delicious meal was enhanced by the beautiful setting. Veronica was able to accommodate the vegetarian in our group without any difficulty.

I felt like I learned not only about cooking, but about life during this lesson ("take pleasure in the simple things," "details matter," "life is short, use the silver"). It was as if a good friend was teaching us to cook in her kitchen. Between cooking, we enjoyed breakfast, coffee, and tea. It made for a lovely afternoon.

Everyone enjoyed the cooking class on Thursday. It was the highlight of our trip!!
Your setting in Tuscany is just beautiful and everyone so enjoyed Veronica’s cooking tips while taking the class.
The food was beyond delicious and now everyone is going to get their own Pasta Chitarra.
The Chocolate cake was a subject of conversation for the rest of the trip because it was the BEST !!

The cooking class at La Quercia was the highlight of our two week honeymoon in Italy. Margherita and Veronica were the best hosts! We were made to feel at home and were treated like family. The food was incredible! I would highly recommend La Quercia to anyone and everyone! I cannot wait to go back one day.

Margherita and Veronica were truly amazing! They provided such a great cooking experience starting with the beautiful estate to the great cooking tips to the delicious authentic dishes. All ingredients were so fresh! They are such a kind mother daughter duo who want you to have a great experience on their estate in Tuscany! If you want an authentic cooking class this is the one to do! You won’t regret it!

We did the cooking experience at La Quercia Estates and it was so wonderful! I'm fairly experienced in the kitchen and I still walked away learning so much! Veronica was so knowledgeable and helpful! All of her tips and tricks came with stories which made for the most memorable day! The food was incredible and the grounds are beyond stunning! The ladies of La Quercia Estate truly offer something magical!

My wife and I did a cooking class here and it was incredible! Very intimate setting with real knowledge sharing during the session. The staff was very personable and you could really see their passion for hosting. Last, but not least, the estate was BEAUTIFUL - very well preserved and great views during lunch.

Most amazing experience for anyone visiting Italy, have been 3 times now and know that I will have to come back again!! Veronica is the most knowledgeable cook, the sweetest soul and makes the whole experience so enjoyable. The villa is hidden and they make their own wine and olive oil which are both absolutely amazing! The hands on cooking experience was so fun and we learned so much. Best food I’ve ever eaten, could not recommend more!!!!

Such an incredible experience! Veronica and Margherita are the type of people you dream of meeting when traveling abroad. They were warm, knowledgeable, friendly and special. Their property is beautiful and well located on the outskirts of Impruneta, only 30min from Florence. The cooking class was one of the highlights of our Honeymoon. Will be back, hopefully staying on the property for the whole week!

This is the best class!! You must take it when visiting Firenze and Tuscany. Veronica and Margherita are the best hosts and you will have a fabulous experience. The food is the best we have had in Italy! A truly unforgettable experience.

Wonderful cooking class on a beautiful estate. The owner Veronica ( pictured in the center) was passionate about her craft and the food was exquisite. We can’t wait to try to re-create her recipes at home. Margherita, who is the Hospitality Manager, went out of her way to ensure we were able to get into the class on the only day we had available. Would highly recommend a visit to the picturesque La Quercia Estate.

I wish there were more than 5 stars I could provide to this incredible family and place. My husband and I booked the cooking class on our honeymoon and it was one of our favourite experiences to date. Margherita was so accommodating and friendly, and we truly enjoyed spending the day with her. Veronica’s cooking class was absolutely incredible - her passion for cooking and teaching, her patience, and warmth made for an amazing and very relaxing day. Learning about their family and the property’s history is something I will never forget. Do not miss out on this experience!!!
