Casa Vacanze Frate Vento

Absolutely perfect! A hidden jewel! Our apartment was large, spotlessly clean and very comfortable, furnished with everything you might need during your stay and much more. Located in a small hamlet on a gentle slope in the middle of that classic Umbrian landscape - olive orchards, cypresses, pine forests and a range of grassy hills in the background. After returning from day trips you can relax in a beatiful garden. The location is great as a base for visiting Umbria as there are loads of interesting places for any interest within a short drive (culture, pilgrimage, hiking, local food etc.). A car is necessary though, as it is located in a small hamlet a few kms from shops, restaurants and other services. Safe and spacious parking is provided. Very nice walks lead from there to neighbouring villages and also - for the more ambitious - up the 1400 meter hills directly above. The out-of-town location made it perfect for a self-catering holiday during the covid period.
We stayed there in August during hot weather. The altitude was already enough for evenings and nights to be quite fresh, bringing relief from the daytime sun.
The hosts, Ilario and his wife, are very gentle, friendly people, always willing to help and give any information we might have needed.
We enjoyed our stay hugely and would like very much to return some other time!

Siamo ritornati da Frate Vento per la seconda volta...perché è una garanzia!!! Posti fantastici, un appartamento delizioso, spazi esterni bellissimi, ma soprattutto il calore e la simpatia dei proprietari rendono la vacanza indimenticabile! Sicuramente ci torneremo presto!!!
