Go-Etna - Mount Etna Tours

Fantastic experience that we will never forget. However, be aware that you really need to bring sunglasses, a winter hat, good gloves, and winter clothes in general. It was super windy on the way up, which I could understand was normal, so good gear is essential for a good experience. Also, this is called a moderate hike, which is somewhat misleading. We are in good shape and were dead meat afterwards. You will walk approximately 5k in snow and loose gravel while being blown to bits, so it's pretty intense. However, it is really worth it 👌. Our guide Julia was brilliant and explained all kinds of stuff about the volcano, geology, plant life, history, etc. Highly recommended. D!

The guides were talkative, gave a lot of information and made us feel save during the experience. Also, Mama Etna was in a great mood that day 🙂

We were half day tour in november. Francesco and Andrea was talking with pasion about the Etna. We went to the meeting point exit Guirre easy to found 15 minutes from Catania By car. First we went to one cave they gave helmet and one of us hired tracking shoes too. We visited old lava flows and after 1 hour easy walking tracking around the craters laterals. We got lot if information we choosed English guide, But also was french, german speaking guides.

On 5th September 2023, we attended a 1/2 day tour of Mount Etna.

We only booked this the day before online.

The highlight of the tour was Alberto, the most passionate guide I have ever encountered. He was so knowledgeable and had a love for Etna and it’s history. This is rare and I felt honoured to have experienced this.

The pick up from our hotel was on time and a good drive Etna.

The hike is easy enough for most people. Make sure you have sensible footwear or rent their hiking shoes. Etna is truly stunning!

On 16th October 2023 (i.e. yesterday), my 10 year son and I had the absolute pleasure of having Salvo (and Alberto) as our main Tour Guides for this outstanding tour. We enjoyed the full day, 4x4 tour which included a 1.5 hour walking trek/hike to see one of Mount Etna's craters and to absorb the stunning, beautiful views. Alberto shared detailed talks in the beginning (and along the way) about the history of Mama Etna (as she is locally known) and all about her lava, its properties etc. We also enjoyed a visit to the 'Grotto dei Ladroni' cave, had a traditional Sicilian lunch and then basked in the cooling waters of the Alcantara River with its naturally formed basalt prism, rock formations. This full day tour in Catania was well-organised, family-friendly and worth every euro paid. Also, the customer service via email by the Go-Etna Team was prompt, timely and helpful. Thoroughly recommend it! Salvo, Alberto (and the other Guides as a part of the fleet today) are an absolute credit to the Go Etna Team and I hope they get some sort of bonus/recognition/reward for their excellent and considerate delivery, bravo!

Half day jeep tour
The trip was fantastic!!! I'm not a mountain person but I absolutely loved it! The guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. He told us lots of stories. We were travelling in a few jeeps, many people from different countries and I must say all the other guides were as nice as ours. Thank you both Andrea (my guide) and Go Etna Team. It was well spent time and money!

Very professional guided Etna tour! We decided to have a full day tour and we did not regret it. You have an option that they come and pick you up if you are in certain locations and on the day they kept the appointment and arrived on time with the driver waiting for us. We had Alberto as our driver and I cannot recommend him enough; a very nice guy who is very informative about Etna and gives you some very interesting insights about the volcano. They cater for a lot of languages so you will surely find a language that fits you. We had Cristian as our guide in English and he was super! Very informative, fun, polite; couldn't have wished for more. After a delicious and local lunch you go and visit a small cave which they provide all the necessary equipment and then you visit the last destination which is the Alcantara Gorges. Overall it was an unforgettable experience which me and my girlfriend enjoyed very much !

Bit of a chaotic start at the meeting point but once on our way this was a relaxed and beautiful experience. The guides are very good at what they do, the 4x4 mini vans are comfortable and Etna is an out-of-this-world environment. Truly stunningly beautiful.

We booked the "Emotion 3000" Tour via Go Etna. It was an amazing trip and exactly what we imagined - really worth the money and the day! Of course the whole north etna is rather touristic and the group was with about 30 people rather large - but the guides anyway managed to create a really intense and fascinating atmosphere and provided a lot of inside informations. If you are fit, check out their other trips including the hike at the end as well, this tour is more comfortable than adventurous! :-)

We had an absolutely fabulous day on Mamma Etna with our fantastic guide Francesco. He has a wealth of knowledge to share and was very attentive to the needs of the group especially on the hike ensuring that no one was rushed. A brilliant day out which we highly recommend 😀

We had an amazing experience, our driver Alessandro was super friendly and spoke good English. He told us a lot of interesting facts while we were driving up. We took the half day trip and it was totally worth it, the drive up to the Etna is beautiful with all the lemon & olive trees, flowers and of course the rocky landscape. The hike is pretty easy, if the weather is good you can just go with regular clothes & sneakers. Another guide, Salvo, told us a lot about the landscape, vegetation and the history of the Etna, he also spoke English perfectly and made many jokes.

For only €10 extra you can choose to be picked up and dropped off again at your apartment/hotel, great service! I recommend this tour company to everyone who wants to visit Etna, we had an unforgettable day.

Absolutely fabulous full day tour with extremely knowledgeable, friendly, funny and personable staff. In particular, I am referring to Alberto, who picked us up at our hotel; and Salvo - with the English speaking tour. He took good care of his clients - ensuring our safety at all times. And he has a great sense of humour. The Sicilian lunch was quite good - a full plate of tasty appetizers and cheese, followed by pasta and dessert. The day was a wonderful way to end our 1 month visit in southern Italy!! One critique is the meeting place - it doesn’t meet the high bar standards of the day (though this should not deter you from booking this tour - it’s just a pit stop - though not a very clean one).

It was a great time today on the Etna. We had lots of fun with our Tourguide Giuseppe.

Organized down to the smallest detail, with competent staff, drivers and guides, very well Giampaolo. A unique experience to be in contact with Etna, the little "capricious girl", with its secrets and its beauty. To do it again, highly recommended.

Fantastic experience with Alberto. He’s a very good English speaker, extremely knowledgeable when it comes to all things Etna, and a very good driver. He was also very good with our five year old daughter. We highly recommend this company and Alberto as a guide.
