Hotel Palazzo Galletti Abbiosi

The hotel Is an amazing experience. Very spacious rooms, good restroom size. Comfortable beds and extremely clean. The lounge area has many comfortable chairs and sofas and background music is not overwhelming. Good breakfast, fresh fruits, cold cuts and pastries. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Centrally located with many areas of interest at walkable distances.

The only exception is the too small size of the shower..

Excellent hotel with wonderful interior, there is even a church inside the building. Everything is in traditional luxurious style. I had the smallest type of room, which was comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. If you come by car, you can get a permit at the reception to park for free in any blue parking spot. Very close to the hot spots of Ravenna. Recommended.

We stayed in one of the less glamorous rooms in this very pretty hotel, but it was clean and very comfortable. The location is terrific, and the staff were helpful and patient and always charming. And the hotel provides the best breakfast buffet I think I've ever encountered.

All round this place was superb. The rooms are comfortable and beautifully furnished with everything you will require for your stay. Receptionist Natalia was very friendly and helpful on our arrival. Our bed was extremely comfortable and the breakfast buffet was amazing, set in a grand dining area. Could not fault this place and it is one if the best hotels we have ever stayed in. Very centrally located and an easy walk to the centre of Ravenna

Wonderful hotel there’s nothing more to say. The receptionist was very polite and helpful. Some of the receptionists spoke multiple languages who might help other people who only speak their mother language. The garden was beautiful with flowers and green grass it was also nice to sit outside with a nice breeze and a good temperature. The rooms were very clean with white bedsheets and an AC. The bathrooms were a little old fashioned with green tiles but that didn’t ruin our stay because everything else was enjoyable. It’s also very close to the city center and the sights. The free breakfast was with fresh fruits, croissants, cake, bread, muesli and so much more. I can only say positive things about this hotel and I would highly recommend it to you.

Rooms were very clean and equipped with all necessities. The staff was very professional and courteous. They helped us with all our needs. Great hotel, great location. I I recommend it to anyone.

Excellent location across the street from Basilica di Sant’Apollinare Nuovo and 6 minute walk from the train station.
The rooms are clean and roomy with updated amenities. The included breakfast was the best I've had in Italy with fresh fruit, pastries, cheese, meats, etc.

My wife and I stayed here for a couple nights. The staff was friendly and professional. The room was clean and comfortable. It was small, but then we didn't come to Ravenna to stay in a hotel room. We came for the mosaics and history. In that light, the hotel is in a great location. It's on the edge of the no traffic zone, so you can go to the hotel to drop your luggage, and then drive to a parking lot a couple blocks away. The staff has good suggestions for parking.
TIP: Almost across the street is the Basilica di Sant'Apollinare Nuovo. Walk to the right of it, tucked around a corner behind another building is a ticket office where you can get tickets to the main attractions. Much shorter lines than the other ticket office we went to.
Breakfast was fantastic. I can't remember having a better one at a hotel. They also leave snacks out when you come back late and want a little something before bed. They also have bowls of chocolate sitting around that are similar to Lindt Truffles, and just as good.
Next trip to Ravenna, if they have room, we're going there again.
Oh yeah, If you want a nice restaurant with a local atmosphere, Al Passatore is down the street (south) a couple blocks , across from the ruins of the 4th? century palace of Theodoric. As I remember, they're open 'till 10 PM. Nice place, not on Google Maps

The best location possible to visit all the iconic UNESCO places in Ravenna, a walking distance from the centre, close to a supermarket and a great trattoria. I stayed at the hotel during COVID and the precautionary measures were taken very seriously, making me feel safe and relaxed. The historic character of the hotel was well preserved, the staff was very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend staying at the Palazzo Galletti Abbiosi! :-)

Spacious lobby that was an Abbey, EXCELLENT staff, particularly Michael, who was Front Desk, Bartender, Bellman with aplomb and pride. Highly recommended!!

Lovely converted old building very close to the monuments and mosaics.
Be careful selecting your room type since the cheapest are very compact and there are three huge rooms with frescoed ceilings and double showers.

Breakfast was wonderful. As well as service. Hotel rooms are spacios, typical italian palace with its own atmosphere.
