Franco Fadda Wine Tour Siena - Tasting wine in Tuscany

Franco was recommended to us by a friend, and he did not disappoint. Although he had many great options to choose from, we ended up building a customized tour that met our needs. We are long time wine drinkers and appreciate good wine but are not well versed in identifying wine tasting descriptors. We were in good hands with Franco, and he helped guide us expertly through our tastings. I absolutely loved going to the smaller, family run wineries; everyone was so welcoming, and they provided a first-class experience. We were lucky enough to be there for one of the harvests. Seeing and learning about the production and family history was a great experience. Of course, the food, wine, and views were the highlights. Aside from the wineries, Franco arranged an amazing lunch for us, he was personable and professional, his van was clean and comfortable, and he was a safe driver. We will, without a doubt, book another wine tour with Franco on our next trip to Italy!

Franco provided a wonderful day of wine tasting and fun! I booked the Chianti Classico and Castles tour. Franco provided detailed knowledge of each of the wineries we visited, as well as the wines we tasted. Visiting the wineries and learning about their histories and wine making processes enhanced the experience. Additionally, being driven from winery to winery allows for a more relaxing day. Franco is thoughtful and customer oriented. He provides a very enjoyable day. I highly recommend his tours when in the Chianti region!

We had so much fun on Franco Fadda's Wine Tours - Brunello tour! 🍷 Franco is very knowledgeable & we met some great wine makers. We also tasted some delicious olive oil & local honey. Franco was awesome and I thoroughly enjoyed the Brunello di Montalcino wine tour. Franco himself is friendly, very knowledgeable and obviously passionate about wine. He has gone out of his way to ensure a very personal experience that is tailored to each client's tastes.

Each winery visited was a great experience in itself. The wines were fantastic and the Tuscan countryside and architecture are spectacular. We stopped for lunch at an amazing little restaurant that served some of the best food I had in Italy.

Additionally, Franco was happy to provide us with some local knowledge and recommendations about places in the region to visit which I really appreciated.

Franco is an amazing tour guide! If you are looking for a personal and in-depth guide, I highly recommend him! Franco showed my family of 4 wineries outside of Siena. We not only had the opportunity to taste fantastic wines, but we learned a lot of about the process of wine making as well as regional history. The locations he took us to were in some of the most scenic areas I have been to and some of the buildings date back several centuries. We were able to create family memories that we will forever cherish.

Our family did 2 wine tours with Franco: the Chianti Classio & Castles tour, and the Brunello di Montalcino tour. Both experiences were absolutely incredible and Franco is an amazing guide! The wine was unbelievable, the food was delicious, and the Tuscan countryside and architecture was gorgeous.

Franco is an amazing tour guide who goes above and beyond to provide the best experience for his guests! My wife and I first took Franco’s Montalcino wine tour in 2019 and had such an amazing time that we brought our family back for a second tour this summer! Franco brought us to excellent wineries on both tours and the restaurants that we visited for lunch were absolutely delicious.

We have traveled extensively through Europe and the tours that we have done with Franco have been my favorite experiences in all of our travels. It is a pleasure spending time with Franco and he is so accommodating and helpful. He makes sure every detail of the tour is perfect and helped us with things like shipping wine back to the U.S. and even helped with arranging a taxi for us the next day to take our family to the train station. Franco went above and beyond everything on our Brunello Di Montalcino tour. Franco has lived in the region his whole life and knew who the best vineyards were to visit. The lunch was also unforgettable. It was our favorite restaurant in the region we visited. I cannot recommend Franco enough! It is great to know we always will have a friend in Tuscany.

Once I looked into touring wineries on my own, I realized it’d be difficult for many reasons (renting a car, having the right license to drive in Italy, figuring out where to park, not knowing if I was getting the most out of my visits, etc.). I heard about Franco from friends who have toured with him before and they raved about what an amazing experience it was. I’m so glad my group got to spend the day with him! Booking and communicating with him was so easy (he’s very responsive!), and he picked us up (4 people total) in his van that could easily fit a group of 7 from our AirBnB. Out of the various tours he offers, we chose the Brunello one and it was amazing! I am very much a planner but I completely trusted Franco to take us to only the best places. We started off with two wineries and then lunch at a delightful trattoria and finished the day off with another winery and an extra stop at a beautiful hot spring site since we were lucky enough to still have some sunlight at the end of the day. Each winery was beautiful and offered unique experiences. It was truly the best decision for us to travel with Franco because everyone knows and loves him and that’s the kind of guy you want to go around town with! I can’t wait to come visit Italy again and go on his other tours too. Thank you, Franco, for such an unforgettable experience!

Franco's tour was incredible! Stopped at two exquisite wineries and ate some of the best food of my entire life. He took us to villages and scenic viewpoints we never would have come across on our own. Not to mention the breath-taking views of the Tuscan countryside we were treated to going place to place. He even helped us arrange for a cab to the train station from our BNB at the end of our stay in Tuscany! Franco is a true professional, and his tour is something you must experience if you are spending any time in Tuscany.

This was absolutely one of the best experiences. Communication with Franco was excellent, he picked us up from our hotel in Siena for the tour which was very convenient. We visited two wineries and a castle which were absolutely amazing in every aspect. The food for our lunch stop was some of the best food I have ever had. Pure perfection! Be ready, this is not a typical tour where the driver drops you at the door. Franco is a passionate man who shares his incredible knowledge about all things wine. He is personable and engaging. As you travel to small, private hand selected wineries Franco educates you about the region and the history surrounding the area. You will visit wineries you have probably never heard of where some old world techniques meet new. These are wineries who produce maybe 10,000 bottles per year as well as olive oil and honey. If this is not enough, Franco knows where yhe best most authentic lunches can be had where they are preparing something special because you are traveling with Franco. A stop to villages you may never have heard of is next where the scenery matches the food and wine. Franco is the man! This is a full day activity that will create a memory never to be forgotten. Franco’s tour was the highlight of my trip to Italy. He took us on an all day tour stopping in multiple towns in Tuscany including two amazing wineries and a delicious lunch stop. Everyone we encountered on the tour was extremely nice and welcoming which says a lot about Franco. It’s obvious that he has made incredible relationships that directly benefit those on his tours. He also went out of his way to help my family coordinate a taxi days after his tour and even called the company and negotiated the price for us. Not only would I recommend anyone going to Tuscany to take a tour with Franco, I would recommend anyone planning a trip to Italy to make a stop in Tuscany to go on Franco’s tour.

Had a wonderful experience on the Chianti Classico private wine tour. Franco went above and beyond to tailor an excellent experience for me. Private access to wine cellars, knowledgeable, great relationship with vineyards. Also took to great look out points and explained the history of Siena and the region. Even opened a special bottle of wine for me to try that is usually not part of the tasting! Would absolutely recommend!

My husband and I had the most amazing wine tour experience through the beautiful Chianti region. Franco was an exceptional guide and went out of his way to meet my expectations.
I called him the day before to organize a tour because my other booked was cancelled due to a lack of participants, because I’m a solo traveler, many guides refuse to organize a tour for only one person but Franco said yes right away and design a tour to meet my wishes as well as my budget.
